This place is fantastic. The food is to die for. The restaurant is cute, and fancy at the same time. They do good work. A bit pricey but well worth it.

The decor is nice, but Joey's is clearly more about attractive waitresses than about food. Their bar is super popular for older women and college age guys (you get the idea). The front desk staff have always been pleasant to me while I waited for take-out and I once got a free ltitle appetizer.

Once seated, the service is typically slow and most of the menu choices range from bland to downright greasy. However, I did discover some safe choices. Their steak is quite reasonable and it comes with a crunchy shell with mashed potato inside and cheese/sour cream on top, yum! For dessert, their molten chocolate cake with ice cream is very nice.

I used to order out a lot, where thankfully you don't have to deal with their slow service. Overall, Joey's is an unsurprisingly bland addition to Bellevue downtown.

I Have taken several co-workers and customers to Joey's. The atmosphere is great. It is definately "upper class" if you are into that sort of thing.

Plenty of TVs to watch. No volume though. It is expensive, but I guess that keeps the riff raff out.

I had heard about Joey's so we had to see if it was all it was cracked up to be. Great restaurant. The food is excellent and if you love dessert they have three very good ones.

I took my wife out to Joey's on a Saturday night. Needless to say I wanted to make it special. We decided to go to Joey's in Bellevue for dinner. We were asked to provide our name and telephone number. No problem. We were told we would have to wait 15 min for a table. No problem. We sat down and started talking / catching up etc. I look around and notice a "pretty" blond couple has sat down as well waiting for a table. No problem. A few minutes later the blond couple is asked to come into the restaurant and go to their seats. What? I signal to the hostess and she yells back to me "You guys are next". OK. But why did the other couple get in sooner? A few more minutes go by and we are asked to go to our table. As we walk up the Hostess says "I am so sorry it took so long". As soon as we get there we notice that the "pretty" blond couple is siting and ordering their food - at a larger booth while we have been seated in a smaller booth. Why? Even though there are two larger booths open next to the window. I look at my wife and we both decide Sorry Joey's - your approach to us was not fair - we are East Indian. We decide to leave before ordering - and as we do - I tell the hostess that it wasn't fair for her to seat the other couple first. She starts to argue with me saying that the other couple had been waitlisted?!? As we walk out another hostess follows says saying that "Joey's will give us a gift certificate if we come back." What?!? Again sorry Joey's but a better approach would be first come first serve regardless of skin color.

A buddy of mine took me to Joeys for a few beers and I'll have to say I was pretty impressed. They had plenty of plasma tv screens around the restaurant. I like the way they restaurant and bar was laid out. It's definitely a place where the beautiful people like to hang out. Be sure to bring plenty of cash, its not cheap.

I have been to Joey's a couple times, bar and restaurant, and each time the bar always smells funny. Kinda like my old college days of going to the fraternity houses.... Food is decent, but the last experience in the bar has now confirmed that I will not be going there again. Beside the fact it smelled, the host followed us in and told our group that we were under suspect, and that we would probably not be served because he felt one our friends in our group seemed to have drank to much. We were just coming from a 40th birthday dinner and one person was a little tipsy, so somewhat understandable they may not serve him. The fact they said we all "were questionable" was insulting as we were not drunk, so we promptly left.

Very modern and beautiful. The servers are all gorgeous as everyone else has said. The food is good and at a reasonable price (lobster tail 7 oz for only $16!) Good selection of food and drink. The service isnt excellent, we had to find our own peper shaker, but she did check in on us 5 times. The desserts are great too!

My bro-in-law's suggested we dine here based on a couple of his lunch experiences. And so we did to celebrate me & my twin's birthday along with our hubby's. But I came skeptical & critical about everything based on the poor reviews of Joeys left by other members. I have to say my dining experience was OUTSTANDING in every area. We were promptly greeted and chose to be seated in their outdoor patio only open for a week, on an unexpected sunny warm evening. Our server was bubbly & friendly and struck a great balance of meeting our needs without being intrusive and allowing us to enjoy our conversation and the gorgeous evening. Cool drinks and apps were served right away. I recommend their succulent hibachi style wings and gorgonzola toasted french bread. Everyone was satisfied with their entree, but I absolutely loved mine - the Filet Mignon. Now this place is not noted as a steakhouse and has a wonderfully diverse menu where I could have easily gone for a burger or chicken, a pasta dish or salad, but was craving a good steak - and they nailed it! Juicy, tender, flavorful and paired with deliciously inventive crispy mashed potatoes (like a mashed potato spring roll) and asparagus - heaven! To wrap it up: food - delicious!, price - reasonable, menu - diverse, atmosphere - casual, & just hip enough to feel special, service - prompt & friendly (even manager and other staff inquired how we were enjoying our food & service, and when I asked where the restroom was I was escorted rather than just told - I think they're definitely trying to go the extra mile!). This is my first review of any restaurant on citysearch but I felt compelled since I had nothing short of a superb experience and was ready to mark Joeys off my list based on all the negative reviews before I'd even tried it.

First, the good stuff - the place looks really nice and the prices really aren't bad at all ($8-$20). I was pretty surprised when we got the menu, lots of really tempting choices. We were seated very promptly (tuesday night) and the server checked on us several times while we waited for the last member of our party (4 total). We ordered and the food arrived in a reasonable time - that's when things fell apart. She didn't place my order so it arrived about 15 minutes after everyone else's - not a huge deal though honestly. However, no one was terribly impressed with their entrees, it looked nice, but it was just okay. I ordered the special of the evening (battered bassa fish n'chips) which was rather greasy, even for fish + chips. But, really, I'm not that picky so I ate most of the fish anyway as I was a guest of someone else and really didn't want to complain. Now, I wish I'd run away, far far away. I've been pretty sick since. Not, oh gosh I might die, sick, just wow, I want to go home early the next day and sleep it off. I'm not a picky eater at all - iron stomach even, exotic food, I travel a lot, etc - it just really didn't agree with me. It's amazing to think about it, but I think this is actually the worst food I've had in Seattle. I'm sure it's just a one off thing, bad night or whatever, - but, I won't be back. There are plenty of places for good food that won't make you ill, even once.

I like the food and the atmosphere here. I love the Super Nova Vodka and Soda - strawberry - I will come back frequently just for that (and the new school wings and crab dip). Appetizers are really interesting, if you can find room in the bar, take it, its very stylish.

I havent had the greatest service, but most of the waitresses work for their tips. When I tell people about Joey's, I always add the "pretty service" disclaimer, the place is pretty, the pretty ladies are chipper and friendly, but special requests tend to slip their mind and Server 101, like drink refills (especially the free drinks, like water or soda) take too long and checking back after entrees arrive doesnt happen often.

Go if you dont mind flaky waitresses.

i wasn't sure.
i went there at least 5 times because i just really like the atmosphere
really chic and chill.
they really cater to the men. thats a definite.
i'm a female; but its not liek they ignore me, but i feel the special attention towards my guy friends.
i mean the only reason why i go back is for the ambience and happy hour and lounge. food is horrible. really not tasteful.
if my friends from out of town came and wanted something for hapy hour id ttake 'em here, but not for good food.

Our server will be in the hall of records for one of the worst I ever had. She didn't know anything about the menu, the food, or how to be a waitress.

They have some things that are pretty good like the blue cheese fries but the edamame were so salty we could not eat them. It took at least five minutes to try and flag a server down to ask for parmesan cheese for the pasta which never showed up. If they are going to continue charging $3.49 for a piece of bread they will need to step up the service along with the quality of the food. We were very dissappointed with the whole experience.

OK - so the food is pretty good but lets be honest. The reason people (mostly men) go here is the waitresses are georgeous. How funny is it that some crazy woman complains that the waitresses only pay attention to men? Why is Joey's in business? Because they have beautiful waitresses. If you want a high end H**ters - this is your spot. The food and drinks are secondary.

JOeys does not take reservations any longer so when we had my friend b-day there we had to arrive 2 hours early just to make sure we got a table. They did end up making up a table for our large group and we had a wonderful time. THe garlic bread is awesome here. We always order a side. They also have to die for bellinis with crushed ice and real peach juice :)

My girlfriend and I have been to Joeys twice. One time by chance (no other place was open). That was when the place was empty on a late sunday, the other was when it was packed saturday night. Both experiences have been pleasant. The first time it took about 10-15 minutes for us to be seated because the hostess could not be found, even though nobody was waiting. But the charming waitress and the delicious food made up for that. We never had to wait long for refills and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. When we came back the second time, we were seated promptly by a gracious host, who thanked us for returning. We ordered a meal of appetizers, all of which were fantastic. We really recommend the Ahi tuna tacos; it was absolutely divine, unlike anything we've had. Again, very nice prompt service and a great dining experience. We are a little confused by the two negative reviews...maybe it was just a bad night? To say the least we recommend Joeys and will be returning for the Ahi tacos and the rest of the exotic and playful menu.

We went there twice and both times the waitresses spilled water on us. The first time the entire tray fell on our table, the 2nd time just 2 glasses. As an apology, the entire table of 8 got 1 free desert. While the food is good, the service can be improved. Next time I am in that area, I will consider other places.

Waitress ignores female customers...

- Empty glasses of water NEVER filled
- Menu, napkin, silverware: not offered to 4th party member who had joined 20 min later than the initial group
- All male table across the way, approached 4 seperate occassions while we didn't even get eye contact
- 1st drinks took 15 to get to table, food even longer
- Asked for Pomegranete Mojito, received regular Mojito... waitress 'didn't know' that the bar was out of pomegranete.
- Needed to wave down waitress to order appetisers
- Waved waitress down to get napkin for 4th party member, and again so she could order a drink... she was never offered any extra silverware
- Dirty dishes not cleared from table after finished eating
- Again had to get waitress attention to get bill
- After paying, waitress passed by two seperate times before giving back change
- Incorrect amount charged for drinks on bill
- When asked to speak to manager, she was unknowledgable of the prices on the menu

Overall HORRIBLE customer service!

Went over to another restaurant close by and had a very attentive waitress who did not ignore us. Needless to say, she received a BIG tip :)
