Lousy slow service. Young person in the kitchen spinning pizza pans on his head. Used to be good pizza but lately they changed the dough for the crust. It sucks. I'll stay FAR away for Leonardo's in the future. If you are smart you will

I've frequented Leonardo's in Vancouver since 1994. I've gone back on occasion but in October 2010 they started to suck. I returned this month to another sucky pizza but now I know why. The toppings are as good as ever BUT they are

I eat here the other day. It's OK pizza, not the greatest, but OK. A little pricey with all the local national chains having $10 large (14") pizza and Leo charges $15+. Staff was very friendly. I was told that they now have new owners, so hopefully the prices will come down a little.

Yuppie Pizza for Yuppies. Other than that, this is just average pizza at high prices at best. Granted that it is not chain-store pizza, but it still is only AVERAGE pizza. All those other reviews are from locals who don't know any better because they never have had better. I was born and raised in New York City. This is NOT New York style or any other East Coast or Mid-West type. It isn't even CA style. It's Pacific Northwest style. A taste all its own best loved by locals who haven't had better. A sign outside for almost 10 years now claims that they have "the BEST PIZZA in TOWN", but "they" never state "WHO" declared it the best. Maybe it's just the owners. It's OK, but pricey. The restaurant itself needs to be updated. Looks like a 1980s mom and pop owned pizza shop.

Leonardos offers your basic pizza fare, but it's kid friendly and has a big private room for schools and teams to use for group activities. I do have to say that for as many times as I've been there with my kids for team activities and as much money as Leonardos has made off of that over the years, I was disappointed when I asked for a small donation for a local school and was turned down. It doesn't hurt to give back to the community.

I really love the pizza at Leonardo's. They have a great crust and don't skimp on the toppings. I would have given 5 stars, but the service is sometimes slow.

You will think you have died and gone to heaven. This is one of the best pizza places around. The crust is authentic, the toppings are freash and plentiful. It's typically best to call ahead and order even if you want to dine in. The pizza is so good sometimes you can wait for two hours to enjoy it.

Leonardos has regular pizza and gourmet toppings for us yuppie types. I really enjoy putting unique toppings on my pizza. They have a very relaxed atmosphere and would be very easy to take the whole family here or go here after a ball game.

Leonardo's Pizzeria (1st St location) has hands-down some of the best pizza in the 'Couv. The crust taste great and they are very generous with the toppings. I've created a loyal fan base of Portlanders now willing to cross the river for a slice. The only complaint, and it's a BIG one, is the service. The staff consist mostly of people in their teens to early 20's and there never seems to be any supervision for them. The tables are always dirty and un-bussed, getting the attention of the wait staff occassionally requires flares and sirens, and they have been known to get the orders wrong, if not completely lose an order during the dinner rush. I highly recommend getting your pizza to-go and make sure they see you are waiting.
