I had lost a filling and there was a chance that I might have needed a root canal, the dentist saved the tooth and even gave me a lil xtra topical anesthesia because I was in such massive pain.

Absolute angels! I have been to the clinic a number of times. My only beef with it is the location. I live in Belltown and theres only one bus that goes there and if u miss it, that had better have been an early bus to get you there, else you'll miss your appt.

I'm starting to feel a little like Erica.... I've called for an appointment and left my phone number and these guys must be very flaky or don't care. I still haven't received a call back. How does this clinic get government funding? Amazing!!

Why do the poor have to settle for poor quality health care and are then expected to be thankful for it? I lost my job and thus my dental insurance. Here's my experience at the Georgetown Dental Clinic in Seattle, WA...
I had to wait all day for 3 days as an emergency walk in before I could get a dentist to do something about my tooth. The first time they got me back, they numbed me up but the doctor had to leave because his "son had a fever" and I was just sent home. I finally got to see another dentist named Dr. Winn. Here are a couple of comments during my proceedure: Dental Assistant (as dr reaches for an instrumet): Ummm...that's dirty. Dr. Winn (at another time in regards to my proceedure): Do you ever wish you could push the rewind button on something you did?
After the novocaine wore off, I was in excruciating pain in the injection sites. I've had work done in that area before and NEVER had any pain from novocaine. No dentist has ever put the needle so deep in my jaw joint or under my tongue and lower jaw. I am STILL having problems with the nerves in my face burning. I think it might be infected from this disgusting dentist.
The proceedure I had, an "open and broach", was supposed to prepare the tooth for a root canal. But when I went to a dentist to get the full root canal, he said, "We can't save this tooth. There's not enough left to put a crown on." I was so upset that I bought back my dental coverage from my former employer through COBRA and went to an oral surgeon whom I knew to be good and had the tooth pulled.
I also heard one of the assistants comment...and I'm not kidding...that one of the dentists suffers from narcolepsy, which is....ta dah FALLING ASLEEP UNCONTROLABLY! This place needs a serious inspection. But I should be thankful, right, that we supply this for the poor, because it is, like, slightly better than what I might get in a 3rd world country.

I have taken poor people there and have had very good results. I work with poor people. They have been pleased. Before I wrote this review I called the last person I took there, one to be sure my opinion was still right. He told me he was very pleased also. Thank You

My children both are seen at this office, I don't know about in 2005, but my children have been seen there since 2007. The dentist they see there is great, she is very caring and gental with my children as well as the rest of the staff.I never had a problem, my children both get seen back to back and we are usually in and out with resonable time.

I strayed from my normal dentist due to lack of insurance. I will NEVER do that again. I had a horrible experience at this clinic and do not recommend it to anyone. I had a 7 AM appointment and did not leave until about 9:30 and didn't even get my teeth polished or flossed. I didn't even see the dentist. My appointment was for an initial exam, x-rays and a cleaning. They told me it would take about one hour--not 2 1/2. Don't even think about this clinic, you will be sorely disappointed!!!
