Luckily found Kozue a few years ago it is great Seattle sushi restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is great, and there is rarely a wait I always try to sit at the sushi bar if I can. The menu has a lot of options and they all

Good size sushi. Average prices. Good happy hour deals and bento/sushi combos were always a good deal. Would recommend.

I was a little confused when I first went here. They have you mark yourself what you want. It seemed a little impersonal. The sushi was good, wasn't great. They do have a wider selection offering stir fry and other selections. Wasn't cheap, but wasn't expensive either.

I work and live in the area and have been going to Kozue for a long time. This restaurant has changed many hands and is always busy, but their sushi is just average and their portions are getting smaller and food quality is inconsistent.

For example, the Spicy Tuna Bowl used to come with a lot of tuna, little rice and fewer sides. Now, it has more sides, a small palmful of tuna and a ton of rice. The Chicken Udon I ordered once was so greasy I could probably grease my squeaky door hinges with it. How can udon be made so greasy?! Anyway, would only recommend as a lunch spot with good deals, but definitely last place for sushi or good food.

Pros: Good lunch specials

Cons: Bad sushi, small portions (takeout)

The restaurant is cozy with small tables inside and on the sun deck for the occasional nice Seattle weather. The menu has several choices with wide selection. There are good specials with seasonal favorites that are definitely worth a try. Good prices for sushi and good amount for the price. Met all my sushi expectations and requirements I would recommend it to anyone.

Kozue's happy hour (5-6:30pm) is a bargain with super cheep beer and sake. Great restaurant for kids. We love taking our two year old there. The menu has a wide variety of dishes. The teriyaki and bento boxes are a great deal.

This comfy low-key neighborhood Japanese joint is always reliable. Waitstaff is generally friendly, cute, and quick. Good food. I've never had to wait for a table, which is great considering the nearby alternative Musashi's always has a wait. Good miso soup and tempura, and nice calm atmosphere.

Pros: Tasty, reliable, friendly

My partner and I have been going here for a long time. The sushi is always fresh and you can't beat their lunch specials (many $1 sushi pieces) or happy hour (drinks & food). High quality japanese food!
