The Happy hour is a bargin. The food and drinks are good. The atmosphere is fun and the service is laid back. Gordon in the bar during the day is always friendly with just the right amount of attitude.
Very Hawaiian feel.

The Happy Hour menu is fantastic! Their portions are good for the price. The drinks are fun and fruity. This is a great place to start your night out on the town.

I enjoyed Ohana but the service is really slow, even when it wasnt even busy. The food I can say was delicious, I had the chicken Katsu, and Kalua Pig. Being from Hawaii I needed some local grinds to bring me back home for the weekend. They dont card people when they drink which is unsat because underaged people can get away with underaged drinking. I mean not too bad if you are under 21. I was charged 193 on my credit card that was 30 bucks more than what my reciept said. I signed the reciept that said I owned 161.13 and left a resonable tip. I dont understand how they could be 32 dollars off. If the service was better I would've left a 30 dollar tip. I wont be back or if you decide to go you should def. pay with cash so they dont screw you over. I was intially going to put 4 stars but then this credit card issue came up. They shouldn't screw with people's credit card charges!!!!

Visited Ohana's on 3-1-09. My partner and I shared the "ohana's big three" plate. My partner and I were both asked if we wanted either sweet or unsweet ice tea. After ordering sweet tea the waiter came back about 2mins later with unsweet tea and stated that they were out of sweet tea, and when we asked for a tea spoon they gave us a soup spoon that was too short for the glasses so our fingers were in the tea to stir it. They have a seating charge of $10.95 if you want to share a plate....as it was explained to us, basically you pay that extra amount for a bowl of soup that had little pieces of red pepper in it and some fried onions in it (like eating ramen soup broth) and a salad (baby greens with a slice of tomato, cucumber, and ginger dressing). Needless to say we were not impressed by the food at all. The plate consisted of steak, chicken, and shrimp, with veggies (onions, zuchini, and mushrooms) and rice. Not to mention if you wanted chicken rice (i.e. fried rice) it was an extra $4. The chicken was over cooked, and the food over all really had no other flavor to it than what it was. To give you an idea, the shrimp, steak and chicken was cooked with salt, pepper, a splash of lemon for the shrimp, and everything recieved tariake/soy sauce. I've cooked beter meals at my own home! I really wouldn't suggest this place. I don't see what they think is so Hawian about it. Just because you put a few decorations and some music to the place does not make it Hawian. I was at least expecting maybe some pineapple in the dish or some presentation. The only sauce they had were two premade dippers (mustard, and ginger). If you want good food and good prices for hibatchi style cooked food, try Kobe japanese steak house! Ohana's even cooked the SAME style they did at Kobe, they made an onion volcano and set it a-flame. Not only did Ohana's put a hole in our pockets, but a bad feeling for the place to call it self Hawian!

I was there on Saturday night with a party of 15 or so. The server took forever to actually take my order and the only reason she took my order is because I handed her my sushi order. Then I had to stop her to get my drink order. My order was placed on someone else's plate that was not sitting next to me, so I had to deal with that (because they did not help with that), then when the bill came, they were not helpful with splitting up the bill and the system they use makes it very easy to split up checks. They over charged our party by $60 and when I checked my credit card today, they over charged me by $4. Finally I got food poisoning from the restaurant and spent my entire Saturday night and all of Sunday throwing up. I will never eat at Ohana's EVER AGAIN.

The customer service is horrific. The bouncer and owner need to read up on how to conduct a proper business and learn the importance of customer service.

This was one of the best restaurants we ate at on our honeymoon. Aside from a bad DJ one of the nights we ate there, the place was really cool. The atmosphere is very island/tiki and the sushi bar looks right at home. Try the Spam and the Moco Loco if you like eclectic cuisine, and Happy hour is definitely worth it for inexpensive food and drinks. We were well cared-for even on an extremely crowded Friday. We will go back the next time we're in town.

First off, I'll give credit to the decor and the atmosphere INSIDE the restaurant. Waitress was okay.

BUT I was not fond of the second hand smoke drifting in from the "bouncer" smoking within feet of the front door. Reflects poorly on management when they don't train their employees, no matter the business. We live in Seattle, a SMOKE FREE zone. I feel strongly about guest service, and when I see something that needs to be worked on, it spoils the rest of the experience.

We were greeted warmly by Alethia, one of the waitresses who, throughout the night , was friendly and made sure that we felt like a priority. We ended up having an issue with our bill and she handled it right away, she frequently came back to check on us and we felt like she was a part of our group. The steak cabobs were fabulous, juicy and tender and I recommend the Blue Hawaiian if you like sweet drinks. I do recommend going early if you go on a Monday night, happy hour is until 11pm but its hard to get in.

A place where you can find all types of sushi, great spam masubi and even hawaiian style fried rice. You will get your money's worth when you get the sushi here. Ambiance is great, hawaiian theme. Great for dinner or for happy hour.

Always good service at Ohana. Very good sushi if you're not a sushi snob. Spider roll is especially good. Drinks are stiff and good.

I can't say enough about Ohana's. The sushi is great and the atmosphere even better. The happy hours offer good deals on Pilsner drafts and California Rolls. I love the "half-baked roll" and always order Kirin Ichiban on draft. I see that they're building an outdoor deck in the front too so I can't wait for summer to roll around to enjoy eating outside. Only downside is that parking is difficult in this area.

Before going into detail, one thing must be noted. This is not a Polynesian restaurant. Those looking for Polynesian food are going to need to continue searching (and unfortunately around here, you'll most likely have to go to someone's home..haha!). There are a few "local" plate selections, but the majority of the food is Japanese-influenced. One thing that is unfortunate these days, is that people believe that if there are tikis and leis adorning a restaurant, then the food is Polynesian. The misconception can also most likely be attributed to the description in the restaurant name.

Anyway, I have been going to 'Ohana for years now, as it used to be a very popular place to hang out throughout college on Wednesday nights. Thankfully, there is still a local-style band that plays each Wed, and for those who miss hearing local jams on the radio, you can catch a few at this time. The happy hour is a great time to go, as the spicy tuna handroll is one of my faves in the area! The deep-fried ice cream (coconut is my all-time favorite), is exquisite and has a layer of angel cake surrounding it. The lava flows are super as well.

On the down side, the Blue Hawaii's tend to be a little too sweet, and the teriyaki sauce on the spam musubi is a little too sticky and sweet as well. That's just my preference however, so I have to admit that I do have a few friends that love those two.

All in all, the bartenders are great, while the waitstaff is a little airy and forgetful. No worries, you go here for the atmostphere ;)

O'Hana's is a great restaurant that is perfect for lunch and happy hour. The lunch sushi special is great and fast. You can sit in the front window and watch people walk down First Avenue. The teriyaki bowl competes with the best of teriyaki in Seattle. I love the decorations and the comfortable relaxed atmosphere. There are lots of TV's around that are appear to be hanging in fishnets. Try the Salmon Roe, it is super!

I have been to Ohana's several times, usually as a pre-watering hole before we go to one of the more lively places in Belletown. One evening a friend and I were there and decided to order some food. Never having done so, we went with the Yakisoba. To this date we have raved about their Yakisoba. I don't know how the rest of the menu is, seeing as how I stick to the same order every time. But, as far as the Yakisoba goes, if you are in the market, highly reccomended!

This restaurant is great! I had a great time and the food was very good. The atmosphere is really festive and fun and the chicken teriyaki and fried porks strips are delicious! The tropical drinks are very tasty and the desserts (banana and pineapple foster) are great, too. The atmosphere is just wonderful...makes you feel good. I would definitely go back! A+

The atmosphere of this restaurant is really fun and lively, however, the "polynesian" side of the menu is lacking. I enjoy their sushi, but not their drinks or polynesian food. The service was not very friendly and the music after hours was really loud. If you are looking for a cool place to just chill with friends, Ohana's could be the place, however, if you are looking for a good meal maybe you should keep searching. On a positive note however, I did enjoy their baked something sushi.

My friend suggested the place, and a group of 6 of us went. I was a bit taken aback to see it was a fusion of tiki and sushi, but what the heck, it turned out to be good, and everyone was happily fed.

I should point out that happy hour is the best; otherwise the prices were a bit high. But the crunchy unagi hand roll during happy hour was incredibly good and so cheap.

The sushi was good, not knock-your-socks-off, but definitely tasty. Especially that unagi roll...

However, I am sure not going to order that spam, authentic or not!

I didn't expect Ohana to be a great place to dine on sushi in Seattle (considering the competition); it seemed too kitschy to be taken as a serious sushi contender. I recently went there with 9 of my coworkers (with reservations). The sushi was amazing. Their crunchy spicy tuna or salmon handrolls shouldn't be missed nor should the tuna poke nigiri sushi. Their tuna appetizer of maguro wrapped in seaweed then flash fried tempura style then served on a cucumber salad was also a big hit. Overall, we had a great time and can't wait to return.

We love the kitch that O'Hanas offers. The sushi is fantastic, especially if you like rolls. We have been searching for a roll similar to the HALF BAKED roll since we had one like it in Dallas, TX! It's a California Roll with Spicy fish on top and then broiled to intensify the yumminess.
Their drinks are also great! Try the Da Band. If you are looking for fun and great food, this is the place.

After reading many reviews, me and my boyfriend decided to check this place out for his birthday. I loved the stringed lights, the bamboo booths, and the tiki hut bar. I thought it was really festive and I also thought that food price range was not all that bad either. Actually, I would consider it pretty cheap compared to most places we usually out at, the food was better than average and the service was quite attentitive. I enjoyed my time there and I would recommend this place for anybody who's in the mood for a light, fesitive dining!

This place has a fun, if not goofy Hawaiian-Japanese interior with some neat accents and garish ceiling hangings. The atmosphere, and crowd, varies depending on the night. Weekends seem fairly sedate and good for a quick bite and drinks. Wednesday nights offer live music and a predominantly Asian crowd. The sushi caters exclusively to the neophyte and consists mostly of rolls and staple nigiri. If you're there on a Wednesday, don't expect anything to arrive quickly. We ordered sushi and we asked if we wanted anything else before we got our order because the sushi bar was already closing. Other dishes are hit and miss and can be pricey. Worth a visit and a drink at the tiki-hut beach bar.

I love the decor of Ohana. It's your kitschy Hawaiian decor that gets you in the mood. We usually go for lunch. I'd recommend anything on the menu. I get a kick out of the sides (scooped out with an ice-cream scoop), though I could do without the macaroni salad. But hey, if this is what they serve in the islands, who am I to complain?

I went here with some friends last week and it is a really neat place. The hawaiian inspired atmosphere and really good food made it a fun early evening. We'll be back, be sure to have the tempura!
