I have been in contact with the personnel at this facility on a routine basis with the hopes of joining and although I have not had the opportunity to join, the staff have always been freindly and courtious as well as professional. They want to cater to all customers and take the time to aswer any or all questions. Moreover, they provide me a disabled veteran with the chance to afford a fitness facility where others will not. Over all when I do join I know I'll get the same treatment as I do when dealing with them on a short basis.

Pros: One of the most affordable

Cons: None really

This is by far the worst gym I have ever joined. All of their equipment is old and several pieces are broken. I have seen cables that have broken and treadmills that don't work and haven't been repaired for months. Be carefull using their equipment.

When the pool roof collapsed in January 2009 I was told repeatedly that they were "working on it" and given various re-open dates for the pool. Based on these false dates, I kept my membership active and paid additional fees to temporarily swim elsewhere. The pool did not reopen untl July. It is now August and the entire facility is shut down for an unspecified period of time due to further maintenance problems and disputes. This gym is poorly maintained with rickety equipment and little to no customer service. The monthly fees are low but they're not worth the frustrations. Id rather pay a single fee to one quality gym.

So, my friend told me how cheap that Global was and so I went in... It cost us 14 dollars for our start up and new member fees. $14!!!! Our monthly is $65.11 with tax. That is for a family of 5 and includes unlimited childcare! Plus the people who work in the child care area honestly CARE about the kids. The hang out and make sure the kids are having fun... the only thing is they don't change diapers, but if that is the worst of it then fine by me. The gym itself has 2 levels, with 4 racket ball courts, lots of free weights and the pool/sauna/jacuzzi areas. The swimming lessons are like 40 bucks for the kids.

The folks at the front desk surf their myspace accounts way too much, but they are all really nice. The cleaning crew only comes at night and there are a few folks who don't clean up after themselves, but the place is getting better all the time. A few of the machines are always out but if you go at the right time, no worries getting a machine. (I go at 8 am/10am/4pm and have had no problems)

The place is always hoppin with the sounds of a class which I haven't made it to yet unfortunately. For the price and local and childcare, you will NOT find a better fitness center. Promise.

Cons: Continually updating machines, internet use from staff...

I joined this gym despite some bad reviews because I heard the management had changed. I don't know about the previous one, but this gym was dirty, overcrowded, and they took forever to put me in the system so I had to show my ID every time I entered for a month. Some machines stay broken for weeks. My husband is active duty and we are being sent overseas and when I went to cancel the renewal of my contract, they presented me with a 30 -day clause (certainly hidden in the original contract somewhere!) so they charged me for an extra month while I am not even in the country! I tried emailing the manager, who apparently has no phone available to his patrons, and he didn't even write me back. Bad business practice. Very bad.

Broken and extremely worn out equipment. At least 3 of the treadmills have been 'Temporarily Out of Order' since December (over 2 months now) and out of the 3 or 4 that are equipped with televisions, only one of the televisions works. It's extremely frustrating since the treadmill is the only machine my husband can use due to a back condition. We have had to park on the street several times because the lot is full so that is frustrating as well. Had we known this we would not have joined this gym.

If you want to work out after 4:00 pm, this gym is not the one for you. I have been there any where from 4 to 8. I have had to wait for a machine, any machine, forget about the one I wanted. I don't know if they have over sold their memberships, trying to make up for lost money, or what the reason. There are way too many people working out at one time.

The previous owners had someone walking around during the day making sure the machines were working, clean, and paper towels and cleaner were filled. At any given time, there are as many as five to six staff members standing around at the desk when there are machines, fans etc coated with dust, empty paper towel dispensers and cleaner bottles. For three to four months, there have been approximately three machines not working and it doesn't appear there has been any attempt to repair them.

The new owners seem to be working on the asthetics, but they have a long way to go.

Pros: cost

Cons: broken equipment, unavailable equipment, dirty, lack of supplies (paper towels/cleaning solution)

It is a place you can go and is not intimmidating. Good equipment and getting better it seems. The previous owners ruined the place and its reputation but looks like it is on the mend. Still needs paint and some repairs but mostly cosmetics that are the problem know. I think we have our gym back. just the attitude and the new spirit the new owners bring has made a difference. The place still may need an exercisism to really flourish. : )

Pros: thumbs up

I've found the customer service to be lacking. The management seems like they are more interested in ordering others around (employees and members) than in running a smooth business. This fitness club is by far the messiest and poorly run gym I have been to in Spokane.
