Low Costs, fast service, very sensitive to patient comfort, positive in nature, energetic and knowledgeable staff. Could not have asked for more. I will be back. So untypical of other dentist experiences many years back. Now I have a new Dentist. Dr. Steven... you ROCK!

My son, who is 17, was apprehensive about going to a new dentist. He was getting very agitated when in the dental chair. The staff gently and discreetly moved me out of the exam area. After being alone with the Dentist, my son had calmed down. The dentist was very conversational with my son and he came out with excellent results on his front broken tooth. The repair is so good he can't tell the difference from the other front tooth. He is so satisfied with the appearance and feel of the repair he has said he does not want the crown that has been approved. On the drive home it was non stop talk of the dentist that took care of him singing him praises and expounding on their conversation together.I then made an appointment for myself and to my disbelief two small cavities were found. The first in at least a decade! The dentist was so gentle no numbing of any sort was needed for the fillings. He did such a wonderful job that you can't even tell there is a filling in my tooth.The front office staff are the most professional I have ever come across in a dental office from the check in representative (Anna) to the office manager (Christine). Their work ethic is impeccable and their treatment of each patient equal and professional.Usually when I see a dentist and have a medical coupon, I am treated with less respect and professionalism as well as being rushed through an exam and cleaning. I was treated the same as someone with excellent dental insurance coverage.I recommend this dental clinic to any person of all ages and ethnic background. The are an excellent example of equal treatment of their patients.My hat is off to you, the staff!Savi C.

My first experience with Dr. Steven Nguyen was when I needed a crown replaced. My regular dentist charged $1500 & I did not have insurance. At a much lower cost Dr. Nguyen replaced the crown. The surrounding tissue had quite a bit of recession, so Dr. Nguyen took extra time with the fitting of the crown. I am thrilled to have saved a considerable amount of money, but lower cost was only a part of it. Dr. Nguyen is a superb dentist with a calm, easy going manner. I just had my teeth cleaned yesterday and it was almost like going to a spa. A warm compress was placed on the back of my neck. There is also a treatment for your hands if you want it!! Although my dentist of 15 years is much closer to me, from now on I will have my dental work done at West Valley Medical.

I went to West Valley Dental last year after having been told by my regular dentist (of nearly 10 years) that my crown that broke off was not able to be repaired and would result in either a bridge for $5K or an implant for $7K. Since I didn't have dental insurance, I decided to shop around and remembered hearing the radio ads for West Valley Dental. Dr. Nguyen took x-rays and told me that yes, my crown was repairable/replaceable and that my out-of pocket would be a little over $1K. I was thrilled...the service was great...Dr. Nguyen was very nice and understanding...and my crown has been no problem!
Needless to say I was quite upset that my old dentist ignored the possibility of replacing the crown...I felt like I had been almost taken advantage of...I haven't been back to my old dentist since!

I can't believe I haven't written this before !
Dr. Nguyen has been our family dentist for several years now ~ we drive from Snohomish to see him. Here is an example of his normal practice :

After many years of needing a front bridge ( other prices were more than I could afford ) I asked him about it. 1 week later I had a whole new smile, for truly less than 1/10 th of what others had quoted.

His chair side manner is amazing, and he won't do work you don't need.

I will call him today to get a crown ~ and being a cash patient, am grateful for his gentle manner and pricing !

Truly one of the best dental office here in Seattle. Excellent service, friendly staff, great dentists, and on top of that, really AFFORDABLE price!!! After my first visit here, I never went back to my old dentist. I decided to switch here right away

If there's an "Hall of Fame" for Seattle-area Dentists, this man is DEFINITELY a candidate. He's brilliant at what he does in the art and science of dentistry...

But, even more importantly, Dr. Steve's a remarkable human being!

I've been a patient of his for a couple of years now, and he's always treated me - And ALL of his patients - with the utmost kindness and respect, from what I've experienced and observed.

If you don't have a dentist, with whom you're thrilled, do yourself an enormous favor and get with Dr. Steven and his staff. They're one, big remarkable bunch, in my opinion!

...and Dr. Nguyen went out of his way for me anyway! I called one night because they accept my insurance and offer 24-hour emergency care. Dr. Nguyen called me right back (mind you, this was around 2:00 a.m.) and gave me excellent pain-management advice.
Since I required an extraction and his assistant was out of town, he couldn't see me that day...so he called around Seattle as soon as the clinics started opening (it was Sunday) until he found one that could see me right away!
I will be getting all my future care from West Valley Dental and recommend them to everyone :D

My long time dentist does not extract teeth, and he sent me to an oral surgeon. The surgeon's office asked me for $600 up front. That was why I came to WVD after a friend had recommended. Dr Nguyen was good at the chair side, and he is very approachable. I was given a treatment plan for a wisdom tooth extraction. In 5/2007, the price was less than $250 with everything included. The post-surgery checkup was free. My out-of-pocket portion after the insurance estimate payment was $39. I cannot believe this. One point -Dr Nguyen also posts several of his fees outside the office wall for everyone to see (which means that his price is low and affordable). The best part is he is available for his patients after hours just in case we need to call him. WHO ELSE WOULD OFFER THIS IN SEATTLE? Since then I have come back for other dental work. He is a very good and fair guy.
For the service, and for the price we have to pay, I would recommend him. Since his price is low, and since he posts his price outside, I am sure is not very popular among his peer group. I say, competitions are always good. Wish that there are more dentists like Dr Nguyen (pronounced "win")

I saw Dr Nguyen the first time for a free consultation. I had a quote by another doctor for a $6300 treatment plan (5 crowns plus exam and xray). I hid this treatment plan from Dr Nguyen. Since I brought my own xrays, Dr Nguyen reviewed them and looked inside my mouth. He proposed 3 crowns and not 5. I asked him why he did not think that I would need 2 more crowns. He professionally explained to me the reasons, not only with the layman terms but also with the engineering principles (I happen to be an engineer). Since Dr Nguyen charges for $650 cash per crown, my bill went from $6300 down to a little above $2000. I got the 3 crown done 2 weeks after that. On the seat crown appointment, after a minor adjustment and checking, he also took an xray to make sure that crowns fit well. Best of all, he even offered me a 5-yr warranty on these crowns. Since then, I have become a regular patient there.

Dr. Nyugen is a great dentist with a great bedside (erchair side) manner. He always explains what he is going to do before he does it to ensure I know whats going on. He also always makes sure Im well numb before his procedures are started. He is very good about after care/treatment , including pain management. His prices are reasonable and they will bill your insurance if needed.
