It may look like a chain ?? but it was lively and fun. A great place to grab a beer and some tasty bar food when you visit Fremont. It is a little up the street from the main intersection ?? so parking was not too bad

This is a good spot for a brew- but the food usually leave something to be desired. It tends to be high sodium. They do have great seasonal beers and comfy booths.

This restaurant has a very cool atmosphere. The Mcmenemins beers are always good and my girl friend loves the drinks made with squeezed real fruit juice.

Went on a Friday night and actually found a booth to sit in.

We were served immediately even though the place was kicking. I ordered 3 appetizers to share with my group and it was more than enough food to keep us happy through our drinking. Cajun tots are always tasty, the hummus platter was better than I expected and the artichoke dip and chips were great.

I ordered hot drinks since it was windy and cold outside. The amaretto coffee nailed the spot. We ended up staying there for a couple hours drinking. The server was able to quickly serve the drinks and juggle a busy and loud environment.

The beers are great. I've been to many McMenamins from Edgefield in Oregon to Six Arms up on Capitol Hill. This place lives up the the McMenamins standard.

The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars: I went to celebrate my birthday there with a friend and the waitress was terrible. No happy birthday or even a smile out of her. She was rude. I've still gone back and she doesn't work there anymore.

Pros: The beer, quick service, vegetarian options

I recently ate at this and had a horrible experience. Our server was bitter, the app was cold and the burger was aweful. I think the bread was a few days old and the meat was overcooked. The pitcher of beer we ordered was the best part of the night. A total waste of $20.

I went to Dad Watsons for my birthday. It was great! I had a wonderful night, but it wasn't just the booze and friends. Dad Watsons is a great Fremont establishment. The pub has a very comfortable feel with plenty of room to spread out. The food is great--I personally recommend their Voodoo Chicken Sandwich and the Brewer's Salad--and though they brew their own beer you can get most any other beer or alcohol you desire. The servers are great and the crowd is usually chill, mid-20's and on, even on a busy Fremont Friday or Saturday.

I recently went to Dad's and i had the best beer ever! They have their standard beers pouring at every location, but each place has a couple special beers and dad's beats all of them! I even saw that you can do tours in the brewery, which i thought was pretty cool.

Was able to watch the super bowl here without a HUGE crowd. Could eat and drink without a BIG wait for service.

This place is great on all counts.
My only regret is that Casey has left for the Madrona Alehouse. Still, the service is great.

Man, Dad Watson's is the BEST!! My boyfriend and I end up going there most of our "dates nights" to celebrate yummy burgers, great beers and a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere.

Pros: Captain Neon Burgers, the seasonal beers, cool environment

Good pub grub, big portions and good beer. I only wish they didn't allow smoking, it just makes the food taste a little less yummy.

Our favorite McMenamins in Seattle, Dad Watsons is a fine local pub. If you're new to McMenamins, be prepared to try some of the best microbrew in the Northwest (don't dare ask for a lager) and some very good, typical pub fare.

One thing I love about the brothers McMenamin is how each location is truly unique, and retains a strong tie to the neighborhood. Also check out the art on every exposed surface, always a fun trip.

Fun Freemont hangout with decent Happy Hour that can accomodate large groups, fresh pints of rather average Oregon beer, great Irish coffees. Ambience is not as good as The George and Dragon, but nonetheless a deserving choice for your booze money.

In Seattle, Dad Watsons stands out a bit as a cool McMenamins pub. In Portland, it would be overshadowed by several much cooler McMenamins pubs. But as an unassuming joint in Fremont, it's all right. Standard McMenamins food--love those fries--and beers. Pretty crowded on weekend nights.
