Cons: hostile service, mediocre food at best

We love walking down to our neighborhood pizza place. Our favorite lady greets us with a smile and a mac and jack when we walk through the door. The pizza is tasty and they will serve any kind you want by the slice which is wonderful for our family because we all have different tastes. The slices are huge and the quality is great.

I will drive to this pizza joint because it is so damn good and believe me I am not a fan of commuting! Aside from the tasty pizzas, the house salad is fantastic and the staff is always friendly!

East coasters, listen up! If one of the things you are homesick for is good NY pizza, not some freaking newfangled thing with goat cheeses on it, or sundried tomatoes, or way too much rosemary in the sauce, then go to A New York Pizza Place. Originally owned by a hairy obnoxious Yankees fan from Long Island, it is now owned by a kinder, gentler Seattlite (who bought it last year). Thank God he has not messed with success. So, if you want a straightahead great pizza, come here! If you want some frou-frou artichoke heart thingy, go elsewhere.

I agree with everyone who has positive things to say about this place. When you walk in you would never expect to get the value that you get. This pizza is SO good. I often stop in with my employees and buy them pizza from this joint.

Seattle never had a great tasting pizza yet, until I tried A New York Pizza Place. Let me tell you, this is quite close to NYC style/taste. I was born in NY, Queens(Elmhurst) and I can say this gets my Pizza Approval!

Authentic New York Pizza or not... it's darn good pizza! Try this place-- you won't go to a pizza-chain again. On one crowded night, service was a little slow so they comped our drinks (wine). Great service.

I lived in NY 30 years, and this reminds me of a local pizzeria that I used to hang in as a teenager. The pizza is pretty good, thin and crispy with some nice chew in the crust. The real test is to see if you like the pizza with nothing

This is the best New York style pizza around. If you're looking for a great thinish-crust pizza come here. It's better than that Seattle-based chain, and better than ANY of the national chains. I just wish they delivered so I could have it

This is not Seattle pizza, Chicago pizza or whatever pizza. It's New York Pizza, right down to how they say "How you doin?" when you walk in. I was treated like a friend the first time I walked in - like a regular. Now I am a regular!

My experience with rating pizza has shown me that the pie to be rated should be plain, just crust, cheese & sauce. That way, you can taste the sauce's flavor, untainted by toppings, and accurately assess crust texture without the moisture
