Sense is set on the border between Seattle and Shoreline in a little building that looks like it used to be a house. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff friendly. The manicure and pedicures areas are separate so it doesn't feel crowded but make sure that if you are going with a friend you may not be close enough together to chat. Sense is one of the few salons around that does gel polish. This goes on like regular nail polish and looks like regular polish but it wears so much better. You can go a week and a half or two weeks and then have to go in because your nails have grown. They have an online scheduling system and a monthly membership (that is cheaper than paying per time if you decide you want to have gels all the time.) I prefer a little more attention to detail in the final product but my nails still looked good.

I was going to give the place three stars, till I looked closely at my nails when I arrived home. Nice place. Tech warmed up a bit after I tried talking to her, but initially was very cold. The experience was no better than at the place I normally go, yet was twice the price. I could tell my nails were not filed the best and she didn't exactly go to town on my callouses. After looking at my nails in the sun, they are a mess. I wouldn't waste my money here again.

Having been in the industry, I know a good job when I see one. They do excetional work in a professional, friendly and CLEAN environment. It feels like a big treat minus the calories! I would not go any where else.

This is pretty much youre average, run-of-the-mill nail salon. The people are very friendly and the work is good. The atmosphere is nice, but not luxurious.

If you want REAL sculptured gel form nails this is the place. I had never had gel forms done before (always used the basic acrylic tips) but my sister who lives in another state kept bugging me to try the gel forms. So I called around and checked just about every nail salon in the greater Seattle area and this is the ONLY one I could find that does true gel sculptures. And what a find. A lovely little place, right on 145th St. at the Seattle/Shoreline dividing line. Not having had gel form nails done before, I didn't quite know what to expect, but Hitomi the nail stylist was just great and informative and in 1 1/2 hours I had a beautiful natural looking full set of nails. SO much better than acrylic tips. Great experience! Next I'll have a pedicure!

I went to Sense Nail spa with two of my friends to get our pedicures and I must say, I had a great time. I really liked how it didn't feel like a typical "nail spa". Instead, I was relaxed and really enjoying myself. They do a great job taking care of you and making sure your experience is great. There's a gal there that is awesome at adding a little something extra on your toes. For me, she put a flower with a swarovski crystal in the middle and I love it!!! It's super cute! The only suggestion is, since the pedicure and manicure rooms are completely separate, make sure you and your friends do the same thing, especially if you want to chit chat. There are only 3 pedicure chairs so if you plan on going there with a big group, you will have to take turns. Nail polish colors are limited but it may because of the type of polish they use. Since it's safer for the environment, that might be the reason. Overall, I had a great experience and I hope that you do as well.

My sister and I went to this salon on a Saturday morning. She got french tips and I got acrylics. We had an appointment set two weeks in advance, but the technicians were still scheduled too tightly and had to rush everything. My polish started chipping on the way home, and on the sixth day after getting our nails done my sister called me complaining that her french tips were cracking and that two of them had just fallen off altogether. The next day, my acrylics started falling off- and it's not like we were really hard on them. My sister is in school and doesn't work, and I only work part-time. The stuff they use at Sense is not acetone-based, which is better for your nails but it makes it extremely difficult to get the nails off. My sister had to go to a few classes with half-filed off french tips. After spending $70 between the two of us, this was a very unexpected letdown. We're not going back.

This is the first time that I've tried Sense Nail Spa. The decor was nice, I really like colors. This is a good place to go to for a last minute appointment. The nail tech was really nice I think her name is June. The guy at the front desk had a great smile. My experience here was great! The only thing is that my polish chipped the next day :(

This was the first time I've ever gotten my nails done at Sense and the experience was just so relaxing and comfortable. The nail technicians were friendly, welcoming, and SO detailed with their work and treated me as a friend rather than "just a customer." The environment looks and feels so first class. The interior is so clean, sanitary, while at the same time beautiful and trendy. It's been practically a week now and my feet still look and feel like new. I'm a pretty active person, so to see my nails, both hands and feet, look almost untouched made me very happy. I love Sense and I'll definitely continue to go there as long as I can!

In my occupation, I am constantly on-the-go and always have a "thing" about dressing professional, feeling professional, and thats right LOOKIN' Professional!:) When my old salon closed down, I was really bummed. I felt like my world was shattered. Life as a professional became dim, my nails were a mess, my body stressed, and my dress was well, scrunched.
One day, an associate recommended me to Sense Nail Spa and promised that this place would be 'Outta This World' .. so on a spur of the moment, I took it up, booked myself an appointment, and went. When I walked in, 'let me be frank' .. I was shocked! I could not believe the diverse array of equipment, brand nail polishes, massage chairs, feng shui environmental assortment, the gorgeous restroom, and the uplifting musical euphoria. The greatest part was that Sense' Nail Spa performed their services with spectacular ease, made me feel really high class, and gave me back my confidence!:)
Now, I have a nail spa to call home. Sense' Nail Spa, thank you for saving my professional career.

I searched far and wide for a salon that doesn't use MMA which is a prohibited ingredient (banned in 22 states) in cheap acrylic products. I must have called 10 different salons and it was obvious that all my neighborhood salons were clueless that this is an issue. This salon was the only one I found that actually knew what I was talking about and advertises that they only use products with EMA (the good stuff). Read up about this on the web if you want to know the concerns. Anyway, they happened to accomodate me the day I called for a full set and they were great! My daughter received a manicure and it was meticulously done. I would go back to try their pedicures. The brother and sister team are professional, smart and hard working. The only downside for me is they are far away from home, but worth it to stay healthy!

Had acrylics years ago and was having trouble with my nails peeling now. I am pretty picky about how natural I want my nails to look and I am also hard on my nails. Do not like the thick, wide look that many get currently with acrylics. Had the original tips put on at a local inexpensive nail salon that my daughter goes to for pedicures. Had found Sense online and liked what I had read. Called and made an appointment for my fill (2 weeks out). Just had them done and what a difference! No one would ever know that these were not my nails. This is positively the best nail salon I have ever been to. Wonderful cozy, environment with great customer service only adds to the best shaping I have ever seen in acrylic nails (ps: I have a manicuring license too). I can't wait to go back and try other some of their other services and will continue to get my fill-ins here. Fantastic!

After reading quite a few reviews about this spa, I decided to stop by and see if they might be able to fit me in for a pedicure this past Monday. I was happy to find that they had some time available, and I am now the lucky recepient of some beautiful feet! This spa is very up to date--in the way of technique, as well as sanitary standards. My pedicurist pointed out why the beautiful bowls that connect to the massage seats are more than just eye candy. They are removeable, as she showed me where common bacteria can get clogged in those sub-par white ones at your average nail joint. Even the restroom was great! With hip fixtures and beautiful decor. I will definitely be back here, and will continue to (as I started directly after leaving my appointment), share this spot with my friends.

And if it matters at all to you, as it does to me...the magazines are up to date. Beautiful!

I have visited here last Saturday. It looked like a small cute hut outside and cozy inside. I got very warm greeting from the receptionist and the nail technician ( Victoria) was quite sweet as well. She would talk/listen to if you want, or she would let you just relax if you prefer. I could tell that she was very experienced/skillful person and also I could see that they sanitize all the tools they used. Overall, it was very neat and clean place. I loved their bathroom. I tired Coco Moca manicure. She gave me a gentle massage, whichi was relaxing, and she even pointed out what parts of my hands are tight. She cared if I was cold or not while I was waiting my nails dired. I do use my hands a lot..play golf a few times a week, play the piano, use computer in the office, cook at home, and so on.. I was worried that color I painted will be torn in a couple days, but it has been a week now and my nails look still good.
They do have their own parking lot. I do go to spa at least a couple times a month for many reasons and I keep my "go-back" list and " do-not-go-again" list. This place is definitely on my go-back list even if I live in downtown Seattle and they are located in Shoreline. Next time, it will be probably a few months later, I will try Coco Moca Pedicure and eye brow wax as well.
