I try to support businesses with similar ethics as mine.\nAfter having read this article and many others about Thai Ginger's owner having committed immigration fraud--paying people to marry her relatives so they could stay in the U.S., I can no longer support such a business. Even if they do cook good food (sometimes), this restaurant is terribly managed and owned. And her employees show the lack of management in their atrocious customer service. Not a place to go. \n\nCitysearch isn't letting me post the article so you'll have to look it up using the key words ""Thai Ginger fraud"" and I read most of the articles but mainly the KOMONews one.

Very nice place to eat... the atmosphere is fabulous and the staff attentive. Maybe not the best Thai food I have ever had, but it certainly didn't disappoint, either. I'm glad I went.

I love Thai food and really enjoy going here. The staff is nice, food selection is great and I just really like the atmosphere. If you like Thai food and don't mind the Seattle traffic, I would head here.

We just moved to Madison Park and I was excited to have Thai Ginger within walking distance until I went there for take out. 15 to 20 minutes turned in to 45. Ok, they were busy, but my wife's Phad Thai was luke warm and so were the spring rolls. Speaking of the spring rolls they were awful. I've had better from the frozen food aisle at the super market. I had the Rahd Nah, which basically was a bucket of noodles at the bottom, then chicken, then broccoli in what tasted like diluted gravy from the can. Awful. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Wow, I have been to all the Thai Ginger locations and Thai Ginger, located in Madison Park is the best! I have eat at the Madison location at least 2-3 times a month; bringing family and friends. I never have to worry about sevice. By the way, the name of the Manager there is Peter and he is the BEST! He also has a right hand man, his name is ""Moo""I like that he is consistent, letting me know what the specials are and encouraging me to try new dishes. He keeps my guest and I entertained and welcomed like we were a guest at a house party. All the food is great. My favorite appetizer is of course ""Chicken Satay"" because it comes with toast ( I guess this is what traditional chicken satay is served with). ""Tom Kha Soup"" is also a must and the ""Tamarind Scallops"" and ""Something w/deep Fried Trout"" are soo good. The kitchen is open so you can see how your food is prepared when you are sit up at the high counter. I've noticed that menu prices have changed-not sure why (I blame the economy for the increasing food prices). My friends and I usually go eat for dinner and we all enjoy are time there. Again, with Peter there - he is a great conversationalist. However, it is too bad that the owners of Thai Ginger didn't take the time and investment to decorate the restaurant like all the other locations. (Owners of Thai Ginger, I hope that you are reading this: ""Please update the interior look of this great little restaurant."" I guarantee if you give it a makeover like Pacific Place, your Madison location will be the talk of this quaint neighborhood."") Inaddition, it would great if you could have a ""Peter"" at all of your locations. He truly takes pride in his job - very professional!

Pros: Great service and location to walk around after a fulfilling meal.

Cons: Decor is inconsistent with all the other Thai Ginger locations.

Thai Ginger in downtown Seattle is a good restaurant for a date or an after work get together. I have been there on three occasions with colleagues. The food is good but not authentic if that is what you are looking for. The prices are a little high and the service is good. We always order family style starting with appetizers and then sharing several main courses. I liked the steamed crab and the lamb chops for entrees. Most of the appetizers are good notably the satays.

My boyfriend and I went to Thai Ginger in Pacific Place on our first date and return every year for our anniversary. While it is not my favourite Thai restaurant, the food is what you would expect and the atmosphere is fun and modern. They also have a great bar. I take friends here before nights out on the town to get things started. Fun place.

We were wandering around our new neighborhood looking for a place to dine for the evening. How about Thai? Were we in for a treat! We started with the Thai iced coffees to enjoy with our succulent chicken satay. The peanut sauce was perfect. I don't usually enjoy that because at most places I find it too ""gingery"", but in my opinion they got it right. Our main course consisted of the savory 4 star spicy chicken phad thai which was bountiful enough for the two of us to split.

On 28NOV04, I saw your 8.9 rating so this would be a reasonable experience; NOT EVEN CLOSE. The omnipresent service was polite and cheerful; my water glass was repetitively refilled never being less than half-full. TOM YUM with chicken was almost pleasant however the chicken had been cooked to terrible toughness. MUSSAMUN CURRY was fair however this beef was noticeably less than tender. PHAD SE-IEW with beef was short on broccoli, the noodles stuck together so it too was not worth trying in the future. SPICY EGGPLANT appropriately used the thinner Asian eggplants, my absolute favorite; but the pieces were inconsistently cooked and the sauce a dud. The fragrant jasimine steamed rice was even gummy. How this restaurant survives in this neighborhood bewilders me; maybe the Thai mystic but certainly not culinary craftsmanship.

Pros: attentive service, clean

Cons: , not authentic, park by luck

I have traveled extensively including Thailand itself - this was the worst Thai I've had. There was very little traditional Thai - too much oil in the cooking and I was dissapointed overall.

I've eaten at the Madison Park Thai Ginger a few times now (I live on the same block) and every meal has been excellent. The ambiance is nice and cozy too, with a great little patio for warm evenings. I highly recommend the take out if you don't want to wait in line for a table.
