Being a long time bike owner who gave away my car, as well as an older person, how my bike and I are treated is vitally important. After a long trip, when I got my bike out of storage it seem to have a problem so I called Bad Boyz and took my bike to them. Excellent service, owner appeared to be honest and caring. My bike rode as it did when it was brand new and it is 5 years old. I can't thank them enough. Just a little spendy but so was my bike. Carolyn Shawgo

This shop came highly recommended for everyday bike needs and repairs. I ended up needing the shop on a rainy night after business hours. I called ahead and was assured I could get help as long as I made it before 6:00....in other words, the owner could have closed at 5:00, but instead even though he had another place to be, he hung around so that he could help me make my bike safe for my commute home. He was more than helpful and generous, giving me the parts I needed out of his spares.

Excellent service on a day they were supposed to be closed, not only were they supposed to be closed but it was 100 degrees outside. That is true dedication to the sport.(the bike in distress was a cheap Walmart brand and no hard sell on quality bikes he obviously had, just what needed to be done to repair the flat tires and seat adjustment and derailer tightening on Ol' Cheapo!)

This is the only bike shop in East Vancouver. They have a lot of supplies and can do repairs also. They'll give you their advice and expertise if you want to do a repair yourself. They also carry a lot of really nice bikes - great selection - and can order what you want. They've closed their store front and are now operating out of their house, which is just a bit north of where they used to be located.

I have been in this shop a few times over the last year, the first was when I needed a box to pack my bike for the 2007 STP. Never bought anything but they were quick to point me at a box and send me on my way. I went back months later, I had a gift certificate for a tuneup. They were backed up so I got on a list to be called. They were polite and explained that they were about 3 weeks out. I mentioned that the only real problem I had was with the front derailer, they put the bike on the rack and adjusted it on the spot and said they would call. I had trouble getting the tires on the rims when I got home and went back, they helped me out.

I was impressed, seems like a good guy.

WAY less than helpful, way less than knowledgable, way less than friendly. If you want to patronize a local bike shop, take your business to one of the shops in downtown Vancouver, or of course Portland. Convenient location to us, but we will never go there again. Too bad.

Had to pop in and get tubes for my husband's bike. Told the guy what I needed and he treated me like a nuisance. It was definitely one of those "If you don't know, I'm not going to tell you" situations when I asked questions about sizes. Put him on the phone with my husband, and the last thing my husband said to the guy was to tell me to get three. He hands me back my phone, gives me TWO, and walks away (I found this out after I got back, of course).
Cashier was friendly but weird, and I think he really bothered the couple in line in front of me.
I don't know if these guys dislike each other, their jobs, women, or people they don't already know...but I do know it's not my problem. There are plenty of other bike shops around, and this one isn't getting our business ever again.
Ah...the kicker....the tubes the guy sold us, he begrudgingly said they would "work"....yeah, they were the right size. He just couldn't read the box. Treated me like I was a moron and he can't even do his job.

Cons: Bad location, rude employees, overpriced used bikes

Bad Boyz Bikes is a nice local bike shop. Friendly staff provide excellent customer service. They are located in The Riverstone Marketplace in East Vancouver, although their address is Camas.
