Look elsewhere!! Look at all the negative responses about the terrible customer service!! If you are a parent and have college kids looking at renting from APEX- DON'T! The APEX owner is horrible, the manager is the worst. Or anyone don't rent from them....

Our kids rented a place as they are attending WWU, they put on the application 3-cars, but when they got the rental agreement back and keys, APEX wrote on there only 2-parking passes. The girls talked them and they said they could work it out, otherwise they would have rented another place closer to campus that had parking for 3-cars, some have spots for 4!. Knowing that the girls listed 3-cars you would think APEX would have taken the time and had a conversation to tell them there is no parking for the 3rd car, (they are 18) but their response is, they signed the lease it's not our problem!! Yes they signed the lease, but as a business you know this will be an issue wouldn't you want to handle it up front instead of fining college students and making this more stressful than it should be??

They talked to the property owner and he gave them permission to park in the gravel lot (at the end of the parking lot), Now APEX is saying they make the rules and they can't park in the gravel lot and fined them $45. The surrounding area is very dark with trees and shrubs, so as a parent I do not want my girls walking down the road in the dark...Again APEX does not care. We talked to another renter and they had to hire an attorney to deal with APEX.

They say in their rental agreement: "Where parking is limited or by permit only, guest and/or visitors are required to use off-site parking)...funny there is no off-site parking??

Again Look elsewhere!!

Horrible Horrible Company, all the good reviews you see are fake i promis you, you can see them on a bunch of different websites, I know that people usually complain about there rental agency because they didnt get there deposit back, im here to tell you though that this company is a horrible company in the way that they never take care of maintenance request no matter how urgent the situation is and they are the rudest people you will ever meet, they dont care about anyone and there management is horrible, please stay away, i am a nice guy asking people to stay away because no one deserves to be treated like this company treats people

We had put some beans down our drain and figured it could handle it. The drain started running slow and we had to have maintenance come out. It turned out there was a spoon dropped in the drain from a previous tenant. It resulted in an annoying sink that got so bad we had to finally call maintenance. Had we called when we first noticed a problem instead of months later we probably wouldnt have been charged.

Our disposal and sink have always operated very poorly. Finally we had to call to have it serviced by maintenance. We were half way into our lease and feel that it is unfair we were charged a $35.00 maintenance charge, since this has been a problem since we moved in.

In the few times I have dealt with them they have been nice and helpful. They answered all the questions I had and explained things well to me. The rental they helped me find is very nice and its been good so far.

Horrible company! Horrible property manager Phil! Everything about this company is sneaky and borders on breaking laws. I will never deal with this company again and will make sure that no one else I know or they know, etc will either. There are plenty of other management companies in Bellingham that actually care about their tenants and try to work with them!

Ive been a renter with Apex for 2 years. If we weren't buying our own home we would still be living there. My wife and I found them to be accomidating and the took care of my fix it requests quick. I will refer you guys to my friends and family.

One night I came home from work and had ten minutes to change and get to class. Well one of my neighbors was in my spot and I had to circle the block to find somewhere to park. I called Apex and left a message asking them to ask that person to stick to their own space. The head property manager (I think it was Sil, could have been Phil...) Left a message on my phone the next morning. He called me rude 3 times, said I didn't care about other people, and that "everyone at Apex can't wait until I move out and go live someplace else". What he doesn't know is that I already signed a new lease for a different Apex building ( and everyone ELSE has always been really nice and friendly, and very helpful). I really hope this guy leaves me alone. Who needs to be treated like that? In the past, they have also rewired my bathroom without telling me, leaving a mess and moving my belongings. Pros: If the townhouse I lived in was 20 years newer it would have been nice. Or if it wasn't in the scary area of Northwest with meth-head neighbors.

1) My boyfriend was angery over a family matter and started yelling and getting upset. The tenant downstairs whom we had asked to keep her TV volume from "Can be heard across the street" to "Can be hear only in her unit" got it in her head that he was yelling at her through the floor. Next day she called APEX and says that my boyfriend had yelled at her and threatened her in a face to face convo. APEX proceeded to post a eviction notice, call my bf without knowing what REALLY happened and ordered him to apologize to the tenant.

2)The girl downstairs filed complains about noise at all hours of the night and on days that we weren't even in the unit. One night at 3 am we were sound alseep and she proceeded the beat the ceiling waking me up. I knocked on her door to tell her that we were asleep and it MUST be the people next to her since they share the bedroom wall. She wouldn't answer, I wrote a letter in regards to this fact and I forwarded it to APEX. This did no good and we were still accused of making noise 24/7 and during times when the unit was completely empty. I guess we had ghosts.

3) We finished our lease and cleaned the place. When the unit was inspected a hole in the sliding door screen was found and a blade on vertical blinds in front of the sliding door was 2 inches shorter then the rest. The screen was my fault. The blinds where that way when I moved in, I thought it was normal. Well I was charged for fixing both items. I knew the new tenant and went over to the unit a few months later. The screen still had a whole and the shorter blind was still there.

APEX assumed tenants don't know their rights, they try to bully and threaten their tenants and take money out of their deposit and pocket it with no intention of actually fixing the item in question.

Avoid this managment company.
