To make a long story short - I would rather live in my car than rent from Premier Property Management! It was a horrible year in my life to have business dealings with them. We ended up taking them to small claims court and won!

For everyone that has been screwed by Premier Property Management, I am filing a complaint through the BBB. I have an entire list of things that they have done wrong while being one of their tenants. I have been at this property for less than a year and we have had issues with them from the beginning. Lets just start from the top:
- Shortly after moving in we had someone do a impromptu inspection of our apartment..in case any of you are aware of the laws, this is ILLEGAL to do. They are REQUIRED BY LAW to give you 48 Hours WRITTEN notice. Not only is it a law, but it is also CLEARLY OUTLINED in the contract. Going forward from here, we called and were very upset with the impromptu drop in from them. The next day we checked our mail box and CONVENIENTLY there was a letter from them saying they were going to drop by and check it out....a little late there dont ya think?

We had someone move in with us, which we cleared with them, and they requested that he put in an application with them. After that, they called him back and said that he could not live with us because we already had 3 people living here and 2 pets (dogs). Mind you, the only people living in this place was me and my partner, that is 2 people and only ONE bedroom occupied. Also, these "pets" that they have aforementioned are non existent. My one dog that we have is a SERVICE ANIMAL which is not classified as a pet and actually is supposed to be as if it does not even exist within their eyes. So, my partner called continuously and left 3 voicemails for Shane Smith who is the Office manager there at Premier Property management. He NEVER got back to her, and STILL HAS YET TO CONTACT US. This was over 3 months ago.

Continuing on, recently we had a maintenance request that was for a clogged toilet. We had tried everything we could to unclog it. We called their "After hours" maintenance support on Friday evening around 930 and left a voicemail. I ignorantly thought that we would actually get maintenance out there in a timely matter. The next morning I left yet another voicemail, and this was around 730 AM on Saturday. Later that day, around 10AM (approximately 12 hours from when I originally called) Linda Haugen (Owner) called me back and left me a voicemail letting me know that I would be getting CHARGED for having maintenance come out. WHOAH WHAT?!?!?!? .I thought that I lived in a complex because then we would get FREE maintenance. I continued to call her back numerous times. She not ONCE responded. FINALLY on Monday morning she called me back.

Once the maintenance guy came out, he fixed our toilet and let us know that we would be receiving a TENANT related charge. I asked him why and he informed me that because it was our fault we get a charge. So I asked him WHY it was our fault and what exactly clogged it, get this, it was poop! Literally POOP clogged the toilet. So, how exactly did me, the tenant, do anything wrong and how does the fault lie on us. Because prior to this, I asked for an example of something that would be a tenant related charge, he informed me it would be if there was something shoved in there not supposed to be in there, or if there was too much TP or something along those lines.

First of all, if any of you have spoke to this woman, you will know why Premier Property management is such a bad company and why they have so many unhappy tenants. Anyways, she was EXTREMELY rude when I got on the phone with her. I informed her that it was poop that clogged the toilet and that is not our fault that you have bad sewer systems and toilets, this charge should not be ours. Second of all, it is ILLEGAL to charge a tenant for regular maintenance requests, such as this. Please see the Residential Landlord/Tenant Act. RCH 59.18. There are several clauses in this that outlines all of the illegal things that Property management is doing to us tenants. I informed her that this was illegal, and she said to me "Ok" and that was it. I informed her that she would be hearing from my attorney if she did not remove this charge - she said "I look forward to hearing form him, whats his name" She was acting and responding to me in a way that she KNEW she was doing something illegal but didnt/doesnt think I have the means to do something about it. Later that day I went to the office and requested a copy of the invoice. They WOULD NOT give it to me. They informed me they would get me one as soon as possible. I still have not seen an invoice nor have I received a phone call about it. This was over two weeks ago. Shane Smith was the Office manager that refused to give me this invoice and Linda Hougan was the owner that informed me she was still going to charge me regardless and that she did not care she was doing something illegal.

I urge anyone who has had issues with Premier Property Management to file a formal complaint through the Better Business Bureau. Website for this is

I was a tenant with Premier and was very pleased with them. When we moved in there were several issues at our house one of which being mold. This was at no fault to anyone since it was up in the attic which is not normally part of a move

Absolutely horrible service! Upon move out they charged us DOUBLE the deposit for things that weren't even broken to begin with. They do not respond to the ONLINE maintenance requests, and they discriminate against single parents! Premier

Premier is great. I've rented two different homes from them over the last four years.

I keep a clean home, pay my rent on time, and in return, they make sure my needs are met with courteous, professional attention. They haven't raised my rent drastically, they treat me like a person of value not just another revenue stream, and seem to do a great job making sure tenants like me are protecting the homeowners property.

If I owned a home or two (which hopefully I will soon but who knows with this crazy market) I would hire them in an instant to manage my property.

The home we live in is beautiful and well kept! There have been a few MAJOR issues however; the owner was quickly onsite and taking care of the issues. They are open to hearing our voice and respond quickly and efficiently as well. We are very please with them.

I heard a radio announcement and called Premier Property Mgmt. The radio announcement sounded too good to be true - I guess I should have known! I called and left three messages and on the 4th time, I got through to a woman. I told them what I wanted and it was the third week of the month. I got off work at 2:30PM and could be available for showing at 3:15PM. Every day on my way over, the woman would call me back and say that she had an "emergency" and had to reschedule. When I told her that time was running out for me and I needed to find a place, she got really rude when I asked her if there was someone else in her office to help me! - Well she rescheduled me and I wound up finding a nicer person to deal with and a better place to live!
