My family has been going here for years! We love it! The steak kabobs are amazing, they use great teriyaki sauce. It is one of the few teriyaki places in Bellevue and by FAR the best :)

Pros: fast, cheap, yummy

.

I recently checked out the Toshi's Teryaki off of main. I have been to numerous other Toshi's establishments and am a big fan of their food. I was VERY disappointed in my experience to say the least. The chicken was pre-made on a stick and reheated on the grill for about 1 min before they plopped it in my to go box. I politely asked for a hot sauce and she stated it was 25c and would absolutely not give me one (couldn't charge my credit card for only 25c) but I could pour some in my box that was on the counter for free. So she watched me carefully as I did this awkwardly as if I was going to take too much!

Besides the horrible customer service the place was honestly about the size of a small walk in closet and gave off the feel of those "you may die if you eat here" places in small Mexican border towns. When I got back to work (as I surely wasn't going to eat at the 1x1 counter there) the food was bad. The teriyaki sauce was good but my reheated chicken was terrible and my cabbage salad was runny. Midway into it I honestly considered throwing it away and grabbing something else. But since I hate wasting food, I weathered the storm. Fortunately for me, the portions there were very small and my chicken was gone in about 6 bites.

I would strongly discourage anyone from going to THIS specific Toshi's. There are way too many great Teriyaki places in the area so sell yourself so short.

Pros: N/A

Cons: Food, Service, Value, Ambience

.

The food here speaks for itself. The ingredients are top notch, from the chicken and beef to the pot stickers. The overall quality of food is light years ahead of the competition. The folks that run the small joint on Main St. are verfy friendly and make you feel welcome.

You can eat in the front and read a paper, or chow on the patio out front, but most folks do take out. If it's nice out, you're better off taking your meal to one of the local parks and enjoying it there.
