Yes the service is not break neck but I would call it too slow. For us they have always been nicely paced. Besides the food is so good it is worth having it prepared well, not just thrown at you. The staff have always been friendly and the prices reasonable. We find this Costas better than the one in Freemont. It seems odd that the same food should be so different.

Small and homey, it feels just right in the U-District. There is no question about the authenticity of the food, the atmosphere, or the folks fixing and serving you dinner. It's probably my favorite Greek restaurant in town.

When you want a delicious breakfast for a great price go here. It is a traditional Greek family running a great restaurant on the Ave. Also for UW students you get 10% off your entire meal.

If you're on the Ave in the university district, this is the place for Greek food. Unfortunately, it's also pretty expensive ($10-20) and service can be really slow. It's not also not in the best part of town. The sister restaurant in Fremont is highly recommended over this one.
They offer only slightly Americanized Greek food and other selections.
