Alwder Creek Pet Lodge is worst grooming ever
by anne s.
I took my much loved male shih tzu in for a hair cut. I showed the groomer a picture on the wall, of the hair cut I wanted. When I picked him up, he had been sheared, like a sheep. He has a stupid looking tuff on top of his head. His tail was shaved to the end, with a gob of hair on the end. His testical was also nicked, This is terrble. I would not recommend them to anyone. When i called to complain, I was offered my money back, but since the damage was done, why bother? The haircut is very suitable to a Chinese Crest, but not a shih tzu.

This Place Rocks!
by Randall S.
We have boarded our dogs at Alder Creek for over 20 years now. Since Irene & her hubby bought the place several years ago, it only got better. Our dogs are welcomed back lovingly each time they return. The grooming is also excellent; I personally recommend Leslie, who not only does a terrific job but also does little things (making her homemade dog biscuits and personalized hair ribbons) which only a dog lover would do. We are extremely happy to be able to have such a GREAT facility nearby for our use

Rosie loves her spa time at Alder Creek!
by Linda B.
Our five year old boxer Rosie is a big strong sort of spastic tempered girl. She is sweetheart and it's hard for me to leave her. But, she's been at Alder Creek at least five times, and more than that for grooming. They are awesome. She loves to go! We just got back from a six day trip and when I dropped her off she was eager to go to her 'room', and when we picked her up she was happy to see me, but didn't want to leave! I love taking her there. And she likes the break from me too!! LOL...great job y'all...

Best boarding in North Kitsap!
by Julie H.
I do "dog rescue" work while "off-duty" and have had to board multiple dogs of various temperaments during a run of frequent work-related trips these past several months. The staff there are dedicated, compassionate and watch over my guys as I would. They have consistently noted physical issues and contacted me to ensure I was aware of them. They also always have a story or two...or three to share about my dogs--a hallmark sign that a caregiver has committed to investing him or herself in the care. They're the kind of place where the main focus is the animals and their well-being....what more could an animal guardian ask for? I won't go anywhere else.

YAYY!!!!
by Anonymous
As much as I love my Chocolate lab pup, he is a 90lb ball of nonstop energy. when i pick him up from Alder Creek Pet Lodge, he is ecstatic, allbeit VERY tired. He sleeps for almost a full day! SO nice after a long trip. Whe i arrive to drop him off, he scratches at his crate to get out, and the staff don't even have to leash him. ( jaw on the floor). He just follows them back happily, often without even saying goodbye to mom!
Thank you so much Alder Creek for the awesome care of our babies! Bailey and I love you guys!!

great place

Are you sure you're talking about the right place? They haven't allowed us to bring our own bedding in a long time, it says so in the brochures. Any hoo, we boarded our dog and cat over the Christmas holiday. the place looked and smelled awesome- very clean, and the grounds are just gorgeous. All the dogs seem happy and well kept, we took a full tour, and they genuinely didn't seem sad to be there! Good sign. Light and airy, large indoor/outdoor runs. My monster came back happy and clean, and really seemed to have hit it off with the staff ( she can be strange sometimes, being a rescue). My cat was miffed, but what else is new- right? The staff seem very busy and happy and a content staff team makes me comfortable with the environment in general. highly recommend! Good job guys!

asked to visit, and took them 10 minutes
by Anonymous
I stoped by to visit my golden, while I had a chance- and it literally took them 10 minutes to "get the staff"- I felt that they were hiding something. Why couldn't I just walk back there? And when I did get to see my baby- she was right up front in a messy run (they said that it was midday and the cleaning is done in the morning)
I booked the place with out taking a tour-big mistake and I heard that smaller dogs during major holidays and over booked days are crated during the night- WHAT!!! I can't believe it. Made me think my baby was in the back-back crated. And there's no "crate" option in the pricing list they only mention the dog runs.
The place is made out of concrete- for cleaning purposes- though my pet isn't used to that cold of material and the blanket I left with him was ripped to shreds.
The only redeeming qaulity is the staff's guinine interest in animals. I will never take my babies back again.

Great place for Pets
by Anonymous
I left my dog there for a week and he came back home normal and happy. The staff is very friendly and caring about taking care of my pet, and I am grateful for that! During Christmas time it gets really busy so make sure to reserve a spot a head of time!

Great Place
by Dennis R.
We have left our three dogs here multiple times and they love it and come back happy and tired. The last time they stayed at Alder Creek one of our dogs had a tooth emergency that was unexpected. The staff spotted that something was up, called us (we were out of state and unable to get back for a couple of days), and then worked with our vet to make sure that everything turned out o.k. They drove to the vets for medicine and gave a lot of comfort and support to our dog until we were able to get back. I could not endorse this place more. Super staff who really care and a nice facility. We really like this place and our three dogs seem to have a great time. A+++

Excellent Accomodations
by Shan C.
I have boarded my 2 cats and a very furry, high energy, young great pyrenees there several times. My pup comes home smelling clean and hair soft and shiny, she absolutely loves it there and even ran away and turned up at their door step- it's her vacation home! The caretakers are flexible, helpful and willing to accommodate special dietary/ activity needs and I highly recommend requesting extra play time and grooming if your dog requires it- it's a lot cheaper than Petsmart's salon! My outgoing senior male cat had a nice stay and made friends with the girls on the staff, but my shy kitty- well, he just survived, clean and well fed. In general, well mannered, friendly extrovert pets do better in the boarding kennel setting. The owners live on-site so they are there 24/7 for emergencies...a big bonus. They get an A+ for caring service! Definitely will use them again.

Always great service
by Anonymous
We have been taking our two dogs and our cat to Alder Creek Pet Lodge for 2 years now. We have never had any complaints and have always been greeted with a smile and friendliness. Our cat was old and would deficate outside of her box (and meow A LOT) and the staff never mentioned any annoyance or problem from this (I loved her and I hated cleaning it up:)!). When I called once last year they didn't have a spot for my cat, but did some calling around and were able to fit her in...very courteous. We have also been very pleased with the grooming that they do on our animals. I haven't frequented other kennels in the area to compare, but I wouldn't hesistate in sending someone to Alder Creek Pet Lodge.
