I run a lot, but have many friends who don't. You don't have to be a hardcore runner to get great shoes and service here. Everyone that I have sent to Fit Right Nw loves their shoes and the experience. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable (that isn't always the case at other running stores), and the selection is great. For anyone who is looking for good shoes or apparel, I would highly recommend this store. Both locations are easy to find too. Check them out!

Cons: none

Fit Right NW is a small shop tucked away in a strip mall. It has nice running shoes though not a very big selection. The staff is knowledgable and will help find the shoe for your foot, or the right foot support if the shoe just doesn't have enough. I like the fact that they organize runs for customers each week. From the beginner to the serious runner, they will put you into a group and get you going.

as a novice runner, i was a bit intimidated to venture into one of those hard-core shops. i'd never been truly fitted for a running shoe, so the whole process was a bit foreign. however, the woman helping me was super-kind and very knowledgeable about all things running. she had great recommendations and was not pressuring on sales whatsoever. (also, research online proved their prices to be quite reasonable.) they let you try on as many shoes as you'd need and run around a bit in the plaza outside - even wear a mixed pair to compare and contrast to help you decide. it was a really helpful experience - i'm sure i'll be back for my next pair!

Fit Right Northwest is a great store! I went in to be fitted for a pair of running shoes since I was a beginning runner. The staff was so knowledgable in helping me select a pair of shoes. I was intimidated at first, but they quickly put me at ease. The staff even encouraged me to join a running group explaining they have all levels of runners that come out. I haven't ventured to take them up on that offer yet, but I know I will continue to get my running shoes from this store.

PROS: Knowledgable staff, you will get a pair of shoes that are perfect for you!

This is unquestionably the best place to go for athletic shoes in the Metro Area. The staff are so knowledgeable, passionate about running, and will pick out the best shoe for you based on your activity. There is a fitting process that theyll take you through to ensure comfort and, best of all, if theyre wrong about the shoe they picked out, you can return it within thirty days (even if its used). Ive never had them pick out anything else than the perfect shoe. They organize a few group runs every week, which vary in skill level, distance, and location. Ive learned about spots I never knew existed and met some nice people. Im more of a solitary runner, but every now and again its good to go with someone other than myself. I cant recommend Fit Right NW highly enough.

We look forward to the opportunity to serve you for all of your running, walking and fitness needs.

More about Fit Right Northwest

it Right is a locally owned and operated running and walking specialty store dedicated to providing the Portland and Southwest Washington community with superior products, excellent service and unique events. Founder Dave Sobolik first established the business as Pace Setter NW in Northwest Portland’s popular retail district in fall 2000. Three short years later, the opening of a second store in Vancouver, Wash., prompted the name change to Fit Right NW. In 2012, with growing recognition from sports and fitness entities across the country, Sobolik and co-owner Robb Finegan dropped NW from the business name, signaling the vast reach and broad appeal of their product offerings, events, philanthropy and RUN training programs. Today, Fit Right operates locations in Portland, Ore., and Vancouver, Wash., where the complimentary video gait analysis and multi-level fitting process that first launched Pace Setter NW remain at the core of its exceptional customer service. The Portland location has a two-lane track while both locations offer a wide selection of fitness footwear, apparel and accessories. Fit Right remains the only running and walking specialty store in Southwest Washington.
