Ratings_icons BAD EXPERIENCE with Acura Of Bellevue

BadExperienceAcuraOfBellevue B.

Before you buy a used car from this dealership, bring along a mechanic. I bought a used car and then brought it to 2 independent shops. They noticed 3 problems. Sent it back to Acura of Bellevue and they didn't want to fix it. According to the shops that had the car inspected, the problems were neglected by mechanics of Acura of Bellevue. This is the most unpleasant car buying experience. I'm not telling you to NOT buy from this dealership. I'll leave it up to you. And by the way, I bought the extended warranty but RETURNED it after hearing very bad experiences. The extended warranty didn't pay for the repairs even though it's stated in the contract. But it's still your choice and for sure the dealer will push for it because they make commission. I also returned the gaap insurance. I just made one mistake : I bought the DATA DOTS which the Finance MANAGER talked me into. Keep the money and put it in your bank account and use it for preventive maintenance.

I wanted to write a reveiw and let you know how thankful I am for all of the help I received. It was so refreshing to get a car for such an awesome deal and not get ripped off for once. I have definitely had my share of some major upside down moments and the deal I received at Acura of Bellevue was quite amazing. Everyone there was extremely friendly and I could not have asked for anything more. Jim was very helpful in the initial car finding, car costs, and the game plan for the day I was to come in. I really felt taken care of. Alan was absolutely awesome with showing me the ins and outs of the car like setting up Bluetooth. I really left feeling like I knew how to operate the car. Kim was so sweet and friendly during the signings and financial portion of the day. My husband and I are looking into buying an SUV in the next year and I would definitely love to come back to Acura of Bellevue. Thank you all again so much for your kindness and assistance. I will never choose to buy anywhere else again.

Ratings_icons Now, this is service beyond the call of duty!

My name is Ray L. and I bought a 2008 RDX from Leonard Stewart a few days ago. People tend to write/call when they have a complaint. Well, I am writing because I want you to know how happy I have been with Leonard Stewart since I first met him last Sunday in the show room -- and he continues to amaze me with excellent services after he closed the sales!

My wife and I set out to buy a new Lexus RX350 or Acura RDX. My wife drives a Lexus GS and both she and I have been very happy with its performance and services provided by Lexus of Bellevue, however, we decided that if the RDX is "economic enough", we would take an RDX and save a few bucks -- $5,000 was our threshold. Well, the 2009 RDX was only $4,000 less than the RX350 and did not make the cut; Leonard suggested the 2008 RDX which met our threshold plus a little more. But it was an apple and orange comparison, 2008 RDX Vs, 2009 RX350. We decided to go with the RDX SOLELY because how well we were treated by Leonard through out the entire purchasing process.

Leonard's excellent service did not stop with the close of the sales, he called me several times over the week to make sure that I learned to use all the features the RDX offers and then took me on another "test drive" Friday afternoon -- on his day off! While at your dealership last Friday, Leonard took time to introduce me to Tom Story of your Service Department to make sure that I have a "friend" to go to when I bring my car in for service in the future. Now, this is service beyond the call of duty!

Congratulations, Mr. Kelley, for having such a solid employee on your staff. And thank you very much for a wonderful experience. We definitely will remember Acura next time we are in the market for a luxury car.

Ratings_icons Enjoy being lied to.... Go see acura of Bellevue

Anonymous

When purchasing a vehicle, I would recommend avoiding this dealership. Why, might you ask? because you will be lied to and not the full and up front truth will be neglected. I was given a finance rate when I purchased the car that seemed reasonable, and for a first time car buyer, I wasn't expecting the greatest rating in the world. But 3 days later, AFTER the time period in which I had to return the car to the dealership, I was told that my finace rate would be 4 percent higher. I know they may say there was nothing that they could have done, but I have since found out that that was not the case. One last thing, if you opt for an extended warranty ask about it in detail. I was said that my Extended warranty would almost be like a bumper to bumper... Not the case...If you don't mind being lied to, then Acura of Bellevue is the place to purchase your next car...

Ratings_icons Rude...

Jesse R.

I walked into this dealership and bought a 2005 Acura TL with 47K miles on it. The price listed for this car was $26K; they went down to $25,500. I put $7500 down on the car and they quoted me a rate (4.9% keep in mind I have a 788 credit score) when I took the car. They could not deliver and the next day told me they needed to raise my interest rate to nearly double it (8.9% - I know they have the right to do this). When I told the girl that called me it was unacceptable she become very rude to me, and even told me if I expected a better rate, I should just buy the car outright with cash. She eventually agreed to try a different bank to at the very least improve the interest rate the following day.

I went into the dealership the next day to speak with a manager about the whole experience and to ask that the price of a $25.5K car be lowered $500 so that my payment was the same with the new interest rate (they got it back down to 6.9% - still 2% higher then what I was quoted at), and the manager did not even come out of his office. He had a salesman relay that they would not change the price of the car and if I did not like it, I could leave the car, which I did.

Just as a comparison, I returned that car on a Friday, and that day I called Acura of Seattle (located in South Center) , told a salesman the car I wanted, the colors I wanted, the monthly payment I wanted, and the length of the loan I wanted, and asked to be contacted when they found a car that matched my criteria (2005 or 2006 Acura TL, with less than 50K miles, silver or black paint, black interior, 5 year loan, around $400 a month). The next day I got a call from Acura of Seattle for a 2006 Acura TL, with 25K miles, silver paint, and black interior. To remind you, the lowest Acura of Bellevue would go on a 2005 with 47K miles with $25,500. I got my 2006 with 25K miles for $26,000 from Acura of Seattle.

Acura of Bellevue are real nice until you disagree over something then they become rude and confrontational. Go to Acura of Seattle, its only a few extra miles down 405 and you will have a MUCH better experience, get a better price, and receive better service. Oh yeah, and it took a week for Acura of Bellevue to refund my down payment because even though they had not finalized the financing on the 2005, they had no problem cashing in on my down payment. They sure are a classy place. I will never go back there and I suggest neither do you, but I am glad they were so rude, because I would have bought that 2005 from them and missed out on the much better deal from the other Acura branch.

This is where I bought my Acura RSX. I had an old honda and I was just there thinking I was going to have some browsing. I had to admit the sales is very good at persuade me and I simply couldn't resist such a kind offer. He explained to me in detailes what a good deal I would get and trading in my old car would make this deal more attractive. Then, you can imagine, I trade in my old car and drove away in an Acura RSX. Yet I am satisfied with this car so no complain.

We test drove cars here and were very happy with the staff and quality of cars. The staff was accomodating in allowing us to test cars with our 2 years olds (which meant moving car seats in) and were great at following up regularly when cars came in that met our needs. Haven't bought a car yet, but will likely buy from there when the time is right.

Ratings_icons 11-year Customer of Acura of Bellevue

Michelle Q. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 514

I have been a customer of Acura of Bellevue since 1994. Their service department has always been quite attentive. They have a few people that have been there for quite awhile, so the lack of turnover is a good sign in my opinion. I have had a bad experience with their sales department, though. When I bought an MDX in 2000, they said if I filled out their survey and returned it to them they would give me a free tank of gas. I didn't turn in the survey for 6 months (I had a new baby at the time so it took me a while to get around to it). When I turned in the survey they refused to give me the tank of gas, saying that they didn't do that any more. I am really annoyed at myself for not asking for the survey back. I would have given them a bad mark for going back on their offer and sent it to Acura myself!

Ratings_icons Great service for your car

Jackie A. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,925

The place may not look like a place but they treat you like royalty. A loaner car is always available for a car under warranty even if you didn't buy it from them. Snacks and an espresso machine are in the waiting room and the service is very attentive and apologetic if you have to wait a few minutes longer than you planned.

PROS: Excellent customer service, always friendly and helpful
CONS: Waiting area could use a little spiffying up.

Ratings_icons ACURA OF BELLEVUE ? ?I would never buy a car here again but would come for the service dept?

kpxjuliet1004

We received a good deal for the car...but it was the after service that I was greatly displeased with from the finance dept to the feeling of being "belittled" and deceived. We were offered a high APR from the dealership so we decided to go elsewhere.Later at home, I found a CUDL link from a credit union site in which I found my exact car from the dealership but with a much lower rate that ACURA could offer.I made my way over to the credit union and had them verify if the APR listed on the CUDL link to see if it was something they could take care of. They found it was something that should have been dealt with by the dealer. I contacted a manager from Acura and he told me that what I had found online was wrong and that I should just go w/the credit union's rate. I was frustrated by the fact that I had found something viable thru the credit unions site linked to Acura of Bellevue?s branded site from CUDL, but I was even more exasperated by the fact no one was taking any responsibility to direct me towards a person who could verify/investigate my claim. I opted for the CU rate (which was much lower than the dealer's APR) and contacted the finance dept. to confirm what paperwork I should bring in. The lady without the raspy/hoarse voice picked up and spoke with a VERY demeaning tone when I asked her questions. She had extremely poor customer relations skills from the point when I talked to her on the phone and till the point I brought in the paperwork and check from BECU. I eventually walked over to the service/parts dept. to receive some paint for a chip on my car and found that Jay and Joe went above and beyond to deliver the best customer service I had ever received there. I was extremely impressed by their knowledge and care..
I love my new car but I would NEVER recommend anyone that I even remotely cared about to buy a car from this dealership. I felt everyone (on the sales side) had avoided addressing any of my concerns.

Pros: service/part dept

Cons: everyone else

Ratings_icons Best purchase experience ever!

chanceb

I just recently purchased my 2009 Acura TSX from Acura of Bellevue and I?ve got to say, it was a great experience all the way around. The salesman was very professional and knew every aspect of the vehicle. He was able to answer every question I threw at him and took the time to go over all the features once I got out of finance. The finance manager was great! She was very courteous, answered my questions and got me through the process quickly. I got a tour of the dealership and I will be sure to have my vehicle serviced there as their service department is top notch. I have a friend who also purchased her Acura from them and loves the free wifi in the customer lounge while her RDX is being serviced. All in all I was very impressed with this dealership and the way I was treated. It was the best purchase experience I have encountered and I will be sure to recommend them to everyone!

Pros: Very professional, great experience.

Cons: None.

Ratings_icons Took amazing care of my friends and myself!

I bought my first Acura from Acura of Bellevue about 12 years ago and recently just bought my new MDX and its a wonderful experience. Everything from the start of the buying process to the end was low pressure and very easy. I have not had that in the past and this was a great change. Also I have sent several referrals to this store and they are always treated fair and with respect. My cousin just leased an RL and he said it was the best deal he has ever had on a car. The service department is on the ball and the waiting room is like a second office if you want to wait. Great service all the way around.

Pros: Low pressure and very experinced staff!

Cons: Great lease deals don't last long!
