My kids and I went to Dancing Brush last night so that they could paint a plate and bowl for their grandpa for Christmas. After being there for an hour and a half, we were told, politely enough, that we needed to finish up in 30 minutes. The kids got a bit stressed out about finishing on time and my youngest daughter (age 8) had a meltdown because she couldn't print the message she wanted on the center of the plate. I printed the words for her and touched up a couple of other areas where her fingers had wiped the paint off the ceramic. When I went up to pay for the pieces, the clerk smugly told me that she only charged me for one adult and one child's painting time in addition to the ceramic. I thanked her, because her tone of voice made it sound like she did me a huge favor, but then it hit me and I said, "Wait a minute. My kids painted these pieces, so why was I charged an adult studio fee?" She proceeded to tell me that she graciously only charged me for one of my children (my older daughter) but that since I helped my younger daughter with her plate, I was charged for that. Are you kidding me? You tell my kids they need to finish up (and never mention that they could come back another time to finish instead), my daughter has a meltdown because she can't write that fast so I help her with the printing (that is all!!) and then I get charged the adult studio time? Granted, it worked out to be only $2 extra (I was charged for one adult and one child as opposed to two children), but honestly, it was the principal of the whole thing. We were there for 1 1/2 hours and I helped my daughter for approx. five minutes . . . believe me, I couldn't have helped her any longer because I was trying to keep my two year old son from touching any of the ceramic pieces in the store . . . I was a bit preoccupied to say the least. At any rate, I doubt that we'll go back there anytime soon.

I went here when I was a little kid, and I want to go back!!! Very tough ceramics, ive dropped mine a couple of times, only a little chip comes off! overall, this is my favorite place
5One of the women I work with invited me along to her son's birthday party which was held at dancing brush. This is such a neat idea. Everyone had a fantastic time and this is a true creative outlet. I have absolutely no artistic talent and I actually can say that I have a small ceramic piece that is quite attractive. Staff is fun and helpful and willing to offer advice. This is a memorable place to host a birthday party and now some of the folks at work are tossing around the idea of having a baby shower for my office manager there.

A fun place to go - my mom took me here for my birthday one year. We had a great time and enjoyed getting our pieces back a few days later. On another occasion, I picked up a platter and paints to set up at our wedding for people to sign. The staff was helpful. I highly recommend visiting this shop and others near it in this cute town.

What a fun place to let in a little creativity. Beware though, its so hard to choose what to paint - I always want to do everything! Prices are good, too. Pottery pieces start at just $5.00 combine that with a small, per hour fee to finish your artwork and you've got a fine piece of finished art at a low low price. You can also book a party here - fun fun fun!

The Dancing Brush Ceramics Painting Studio sounds like alot of fun. I know many people that have been there and really enjoyed themselves. My sister in law went recently with her 3 and a half year old son, they both had a great time painting and bonding. My wife and I want to take our daughter there when she is old enough.

Dancing Brush has a wide variety of ceramic pieces to choose from. It's a fun place to go with a group to create your masterpieces. My mom has several vases that were Mother's Day gifts - and bless her heart she uses them!! For those who aren't so creative, they have stencils and stamps available. DB offers punch cards for frequent users and also accept Kitsap Card which gets you a free hour when you bring a friend.

My older sister and her sweet son Alexander recently went to the Dancing Brush for a special outing. He had fun picking out the ceramic, then painting it as well. My sister also enjoyed the experience, it was a special treat for both of them. I hope to take my daughter when she is old enough.
