Slow, Slow, Slow  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I have used this shop twice, and both times they have kept my car for a very long time. I don't have an extra car and it was a big problem for me. I think they are nice, but under staffed. My bill was pretty high also and I don't think I will use them again.

PROS: Good location, Nice
CONS: slow, pricey

Trust worthy, on time and a good job! 5 Star Rating - World class

I took my 2000 Eclipse in this spring and had a great experience. I'd scheduled an appointment for September for some maintenance I knew was coming up (fuel injection cleaning, etc) and almost cancelled the appointment after reading a negative review by another user. But then I realized I had no idea who else I'd take it to so I decided to talk to the owner when I went in.

When I met the woman the front desk, I expressed my concerns and asked if I could talk with the owner. Turns out she is the owner, and was well aware of the poor review. I didn't sense any defensiveness in her further comments, but genuine confusion over why the gentleman was so upset. She said they'd tried to chat with him to figure out what was going on and he'd refused to return their calls, etc.

I decided to have them work on my car. It made me feel better that the woman was an owner, that she was aware of the problem and could speak so intelligently and with genuine concern vs. anger or excuses about the situation, and that she understood my concern.

My car was done that afternoon. The mechanic said some of the work I'd been expecting could easily wait several more months, and my bill was $200 instead of the $600 I'd expected. Now, I would normally assume "oh, it's because I talked to them about this issue and they're trying to win my business, etc." But the truth is, back in April I had the same thing happen and they didn't know me from anyone else at that point.

I think this is a great shop. There are always grumpy customers, and misunderstandings can happen even with non-grumpy customers. :-) I'll keep going to this shop.

Pros: Great owner, very helpful, really listen to customers.

Great Shop 5 Star Rating - World class

My daughter referred me to Seattle Auto, when my car started stalling. They were very nice and did a great job. They recommended a few items and gave me a quote. I called around and found there prices to be appropriate for my repairs. I had no problem getting my car back in to complete the items. I had a very enjoyable experience and would recommend this shop.

Don't take your car here 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I took my 94 mazda in and they put out a laundry list of problems with it and a price tag of $2500 to fix it. Always being skeptical of auto repair (my dad was a mechanic for 20 years and my first car I rebuilt with his help), I double checked a few things to find out what was going on.

Turns out that the radiator replacement ($300 repair cost with parts) they "suggested" was fixed with a 2 dollar seal. The oil pan was never leaking (around $100 suggested cost), and the clutch work I needed was done by Aurora Clutch and More (great guys by the way!) for about $300 less than they estimated. Also, when I talked to a mechanic he basically lied to my face about my radiator hoses being "brittle and hard" when they were not.

This place does things by replacing the whole kit and kabodle instead of trying to figure out what is the real problem. If one of your spark plugs goes bad, you'll be paying for a rotor, cap, wires, as well as new plugs. This is the classic place to take your car if you don't know anything about cars and get taken for a ride on cost. Go to someone that you can talk to and who is honest about what is really wrong with your car, just don't go here.
