I would drive over 100 mi. to see this vet! Yes, the clinic functions on a first come, first served basis so you would have to expect that the staff has to be firm and set a clear message to those that lack a clue. Those that don't get it should go somewhere else to be pampered because this place doesn't need whiners. The staff is friendly, firm, fair, and the prices are reasonable beyond belief. Most of all, they are in deed caring and the Dr. takes his time once with you. 10 STARS!

Yes, the office staff can be difficult, but can also be quite compassionate. Even when the waiting room is full and chaotic, Dr Knigge never rushes, once you get in the treatment room. He has also gone "above and beyond" on occasion, and I will always remember his kindness when dealing with my terminal dog.

Although Dr. Knigge is personable and reasonably priced, there is a lack of control with regard to his office staff. This company employs a receptionist/assistant that is RUDE and INSENSITIVE beyond belief. Dr. Knigge turns a blind eye to this behavior as he does not return phone calls regarding the behavior so I can only assume his clients opinions are not important. I've lived in this community for a long time and have asked around about other's experiences with this individual. I'm sorry to say it is pretty common knowledge that this is a behavior they've all experienced. Even though I like Dr. Knigge and I like his prices, I will not support this bad behavior. I'd rather go to another local vet and pay a little higher price and enjoy my experience with people who are glad to see me and appreciate my business.
For Katie B (Above) I see these reviews as a powerful tool not only for the public but also for those that provide service; to see ways of improvement. I certainly didn't poke at those who've had nothing but good experiences with comments of over zealous positive attitude! I'm entitled to my opinion just as you are. You know nothing of my experience or situation. Don't assume that I'm a pampered whinner. These reviews, whether they agree or not, have a benefit. If everything were always peachie, there would be no need for a review...

There are other Vets out there?!?! Not in my book!
I don't know what kind of experience George had, but I have 5 animals, so I'm there quite a bit and have never had a bad experience from the staff. The customers, well that's another story. Since they do not take appointments, it's a walk in only and are seen in that order, they try to keep track, but there's always that one person that thinks it's all about them. I think other vets should take a clue.
PS, We should not feel guilty that we can't always spend more on our pets then our human family members and the staff doesn't make us feel like we are cutting corners. If we ever move, this will be our biggest loss, even more than our own doctor.

Today my dog went into Dr. Knigge's office for the first time - my boss swears by him, and another friend as well (she's the one who referred us) - Well, Tika needed surgery - and was in and out, beautifully done for under $200.00 - I was prepared for much more than that! I will be a faithful customer for here on out - and I live in Bellingham!
Bottom line - the cost is low, the staff is sweet as can be, informative and won't gouge for the sake of making the might dollar...pretty awesome!

I absolutely love this clinic, the vet, and the staff! I recently got my corgi's teeth done here. His teeth were terrible, but I picked him up with georgous sparkling teeth, and they only charged me $95! I had to ask twice just to make sure. Every other vet clinic starts off at $250 and up! (Trust me, I called around). I was completely sold after that. I will not go to another clinic unless I have to. Every time I come in they are happy to take time with me and answer my questions. Did I mention that their clinic visit fee is less then $20? Plus there has been a couple of times that I went in with quick and easy problems, and the vet charged me even less! There is only one flaw that I can find with this vet clinic.. They don't see horses. But I am willing to forgive them for that. :)

I normally see Dr Ron at Smokey Point Hospital, but I got my westie spayed here because of the low cost and I was very pleased. Staff was friendly, the surgery went well, and my dog was in little pain after the surgery. I assumed from the name that they only did vaccines and surgeries, but from the other reviews I guess they do more. I will keep Dr Ron as my regular vet, but I guess if he is out of town I have another option. Gave 4 stars only because of my limited experience with this clinic, not because of service.

I could not think any higher of Dr. Knigge, Tracy, and Coralline. They are amazing with animals, they are honest down to earth, and the most reasonably priced around. They do GREAT work whether it be regular everyday surgeries such as spays/neutered and teeth cleans and theyre also fantastic with everything else our animals have gone through from everything to a hurt leg, hematoma in the ear, etc. We hold this vet on a very well deserved pedestal and I recommend ANYONE in WA state to give them a try!! Theyre WELL worth the drive!! We have friends/family who travel as far as other cities in WA that are a ways from Stanwood to my best friend who takes her dogs there when she lives in Canada!! I give them two thumbs up and millions of kudos!

Augie tore his ACL. Not only was the surgery price reasonable compared to Puyallup vets, the surgery was beautifully done by Dr Knigge, The staff was great and they were considerate enough to get Augie done before 1 pm so I could get back to Puyallup before rush hour. How many people even consider timing for someone else? I really appreciate our treatment there and drive up 2 hrs for treatment. Augie is worth it.

I have been taking my 2 pugs to Pat and his staff for 5 years. They have a way with animals that others do not and they truly care. I spent a year in Utah at Lake Powell and made sure on my trips back to the NW that they got in to see our "Vet family". I probably hold the title as to the "farthest traveled" to go to the vet in the country, but it was well worth it. They don't sell you on needless services and have very reasonable office and medication fees. If you have to wait a bit to get in to see them, it more than makes up for the wait by the friendly and caring service that the animal members of the family receive!

I can afford to take in my rescues to this vet! I'd have to pay double to go to the vet 5 minutes from my house, but I choose to drive 30 minutes to this place! The vet calls me by my first name and tells me when I'm doing good with my cats I bring in. I love that you can walk in at 1 pm. I've seen people get quick answers for their puppy and I've seen compassion when one lost their tiny kitten to fleas. Definately worth the drive and I tell everyone about them! They have helped me with an ill rescue puppy to sick ringworm kittens, and now I have one that is ill that I need to ask them about that I think might be an allergy.

I have tried this clinic three times over the last two years, but have never been able to get past the front desk stage either on the phone or in person. The vet tech and front desk person both need customer service training badly, as well as some small degree of human empathy. The Vet may be outstanding, but I would rather pay more and be treated like a human being,

Low cost, high quality, no frills, compassionate care for your pets. I saved $70 on an office visit and vaccinations. I love this Vet! (he's cute too!)

Dr. Knigge, Tracy, and staff are the nicest people we have met in a long time. We have taken all of our pets to this clinic. Each vist, they go above and beyond our expectations. They offer a varety of services at an affordable prices. I even have family members that travel about 45 miles to bring all the pets that they have there.
I would also like to mention that they helped our family cope through the loss of our animal.
If you are looking for a vet that you can trust, look no further.
