Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brwry

This is a great place to eat before attending a production at the 5th Ave Theater. The food is good and the service is directed at getting you taken care of to get across the street to the play.

inside it is almost like a sports bar because there are television sets everywhere showing sportsgames. i, in particular, come to the rock bottom to shoot some pool and and enjoy the beers & cocktails with friends. there is not much of a variety of cocktails, but there is a variety of beers. and the food, is not very great. just so-so. the french fries were extremely oily. ewww. regardless, i come by this place because of the cheap prices it has on the booze.

Rock Bottom beers are pretty good and I'm not a fan of the chain breweries. RB seems more legit than other chain breweries; perhaps it's because there's always at least one seasonal on tap, and they're constantly expanding their beer inventory. They have a great happy hour where it's seldom impossible to get in. Beer is cheap during HH and pitchers are an espcially good deal. The prices are very good, given RB's Downtown location. The menu is very large--truly something for everyone. Outdoor seating is a must in the summer and there are pool tables inside.
