Stopping by without an appointment on a weekend...I knew I was asking for a headache. I had to pick up my bridesmaid dress for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised. The store was very busy and still I was greeted pleasantly, assisted professionally and appreciated the friendly sales staff amongst all of the hustle and bustle of brides-to-be. I was given personal service and when I needed alterations, everything was set up without a problem. As someone with years of customer service experience, I am not easily impressed. I've read the previous negative reviews; however, the customer service I experienced on my encounter was exceptional-keep up the good work and thank you.

I came into the store without an appointment, and didn't think i needed to. I looked around for a lil bit, and they asked if i needed any help. I said not quite yet and she was very polite and explained if we needed anything to come find her or go to the front desk. When we went to go find her, she was on the phone and politely asked for a minute. We went off and looked around in the back.
When we came back to the front, she was patient and very nice. They had appointments but were dedicated to helping EVERYONE. I found wonderful dresses (she listened to what I wanted and brought me suggestions that she thought i might like). She was also very kind when i felt dizzy. Helped me sit down and offered me water.
They were very nice and patient overall. And asked if everything was ok and if we needed help. I would suggest an appointment instead of walking in though.

I was looking for a dress for my husband's holiday party everywhere and could not find one. David's Bridal has a wonderful selection of dresses and you can buy off the rack. Prices are reasonable and the help that I received at David's Bridal exceeded any department store. I highly recommend David's Bridal...especially in Lynwood, WA. A huge thank you to Connie and Ashley (manager and asst. manager)!

I needed a specific dress for my friends out of town wedding. They were polite on the phone. They were polite in person. They answered my questions. They let me try on the style I needed (wrong color) just for size. When they didn't have it in store they found it for me, calling several stores (found it in Louisiana) and arranged to have it shipped. And this was during a fairly busy day! Not sure what people expect. But I can tell you that those bridezilla attitudes are not doing you any favours. Just sayin'.

I came in with my sister to try on dresses - and I didn't realize we needed an appointment. (First stop in the dress search!) The gal at the front desk lectured us for several minutes about the importance of making appointments, and we can't just expect to waltz in and try things on. When she asked if we'd like to make an appointment for later in the week, I said I'd rather not return. Mysteriously, she discovered they had an appointment available in 5 minutes, and set us loose on the dresses.

In terms of the fitting - that was also frustrating. I had worn my fancy-pants formal dress undergarments and high heels to expedite the process, but she still gave me a hard time, and insisted I should try on their bras and heels instead. Finally, she let me try on the dresses, but disappeared after I put on the first one, and didn't return for over 10 minutes. My sister ended up helping me into the next ones, as our consultant didn't reappear until we were trying to leave, at which point she tried to convince me to make another appointment. No thank you!

The icing on the cake was that after our visit to David's Bridal, I started receiving sales calls almost nonstop from a variety of bridal vendors. Sometimes as many as3 or 4 a day! I specifically asked that they not share my personal information, and it's clear that request was not honored.

In terms of the good, they had many sizes. I wear a street size 12, and not all bridal places carry that in bridal sizes to try on. The dresses were also reasonably priced (for wedding dresses) but many of the styles were quite bedazzled and poofy, and many more were of poor quality. Not bad, but certainly not good enough.

Well unfortunately... all the good things I had heard about how wonderful of an experience it would be to go to David's Bridal for my first ever wedding dress shopping was not true at all!! I was totally disappointed and very angry with the horrible customer service or lack of I received. Even though this is to be my 2ND marriage this was to be my first real experience in shopping for and choosing a wedding dress to wear to what is going to be a very beautiful and special day in my life. I am still just mortified as to how I was treated. I will never recommend you to any of my friends or family and trust me I have many!! You failed 100% in even attempting to make me feel special what so ever!! Then when I made it very clear as to how upset I was there was no attempt made to rectify the situation or make me feel better. WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE TO SHOP!!

Fortunately I was smart enough to buy my dress somewhere other than David's Bridal, but I did try to have my bridal party wear shoes from this place. They were advertised in a catalog in January and by mid-March still not in stores. And when I called weekly, this store would give me the run around. They never tried to go out of their way to help me get the answers for this. It was a complete lack of customer service and at other times I was lied to. And, they also wanted me to buy the shoes that I have only seen in a catalog from an East coast store, but then promised they could NOT be returned. I would never buy shoes without first trying on if I knew I couldn't return. That's crazy! I would never ever recommed this store to anyone, I think you would only go here if you wanted to have your wedding experience ruined. And another note -- I went to some of the "fancier" bridal shops to look for my dress and the one I ended up buying was CHEAPER than one I found at David's Bridal. So even if you think you might try it for cheap dresses, don't do it! Inexpensive dresses CAN be found at other great shops that give you a wonderful experience!

When I first got engaged, I was so excited and made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for the Alderwood David's Bridal.
On the day of my appointment, I waited 15-20 minutes past my apt time, and was asked to fill out some forms at the front desk. Somehow the gal lost my forms right after I filled them out, and asked me to do it again. Finally she introduced me to an older woman named "Dolly", who would consult me with my selections.
Dolly was the most awful customer service representative I have ever worked with. She appeared to be uninterested in her work, and basically just there because she had to be. Dolly informed me that she would be working with another bride also. I told her what type of gown I was interested in (a white or off-white sheath without a lot of detailing/lace, etc). She showed me a section with 3-4 gowns that loosly fit my description. She then told me to make a few selections, tote them around the store, and come find her when I was ready to try on.
When I was ready, Dolly was no where to be found. Alas I found another woman to unlock a cramped and dingy fitting room. When I came out wearing the 4th gown, which by the way was tattered, musty, and missing essential buttons, Dolly asked how things were going. I told her none of the gowns were quite right, and I'd like to keep looking, with a bit of assistance. I guess asking for a little help would have meant too much work for her, because she told me that the store probably wouldn't have anything for me. She then led me to the discounted prom & party dress area and told me I could browse these racks as a last resort.
I left the store so stressed and upset, came home and told my now-husband that the experience was so horrible I had no desire to look at any more wedding dresses. We ended up having a very casual ceremony instead; the best decision ever, and highly recommended!

I went to Davids Bridal as the first bridal shop I have ever gone to, and my mom and I had no clue we needed to make an appointment so we just showed up. When we walked into the store, there was no one at the front table so we weren't sure what to do. After we walked around and found 3 dresses we asked if we could try them on and the girl at the table said we could not without an appointment. So we thought Ok, maybe we wont get to do this. they did not even say to wait a second or anything. This girl never made eye contact with us. then the consultant came and took me to the room and helped me try on the dresses. She was very helpful BUT she was incredibly cheesy, did not really listen or ask as to what I had in mind and just seemed to be thinking about something else. The experience I had was NOT was I was looking for and I doubt I will go back. It is not worth it for me or any other bride to be to experience the lack of caring at this store. Please look elsewhere as I will, and look for a place that will ask you what you are looking for and be genuine to you!!

I searched for the perfect bridal gown all over Seattle. I went to designer stores and "appt only" bridal boutiques. My girlfriend told me to visit David's Bridal to view their selection. After being greeted by an overbearing receptionist I was assigned to a "bridal consultant". Honestly, she was an underweight high school girl. She didn't have a clue what she was doing and seemed to be in a daze half the time. She was too busy helping other customers to attend to my needs. My girlfriend had to help me in the dressing room since my consultant was too distracted. Another bridal consultant decided to try and sell me some tacky jewelry along with a fake looking tiara. I was totally confused and embarrassed by the whole situation. The only thing that made the experience worth it was their prices. I am scared to go back for alterations because of their customer service. Their is a "queen" running around the store who thinks he is working for Chanel in NY. Someone needs to remind him that he works for a low budget bridal store. If I could do it over again I would pay the extra money for a designer gown and customer service you can rely on. I wouldn't go back.

Pros: Cheap Dresses

Cons: Awful Bridal Consultants and Bad Lighting

I bought my dress at David's Bridal in Las Vegas - it was a great experience. The David's Bridal in Lynnwood was the polar opposite. I took my dress there for alterations and was ushered into a dark back hallway dressing room and told to come out when I had everything on (no help zipping up my dress). I stood on a dress-fitting stool two inches from the mirror in bad lighting. When I made an off-handed remark that I would still like to lose a few pounds, the lady fitting me agreed and suggested some push ups. (as a caveat to that - i am a normal size 6 girl). She then handed me a ticket and told me to come back in a month. There was no reverence, no compliments (in fact the opposite), and no time-given for me to really look at the dress and how it was fitting. I left feeling awful. Would not recommend that store to anyone.

I purchased a prom gown, shoes and accessories for my little sister. I wasn't told of the no returns, all sales final policy. My sister found shoes that better matched her dress so we decided to take back the $80 shoes we purchased. We drove an hour back to the store then they informed us about the policy. We wasted a lot of time and money.

.

Beware that the salespeople will neglect to tell you that all sales are final all the while recommending you purchase accessories you weren't planning to buy. When calling the store to return a tiara I didn't use I was told of the no return policy for the first time and the store manager was unwilling to listen when I explained that not one salesperson had explained this policy. The customer service at David's is very poor, my "consultant" being gone often and no one knowing how to direct me if I called with a question. A disappointing experience.

I visited this store earlier today. I had FANTASTIC service. I was assigned a staff member who had an eye for style and selected several dresses for me to try. She went the extra mile and pinned my hair up, added a beautiful clip, and a veil. She asked me to close my eyes and as she whipped my style up, she spoke to me and painted a beautiful picture of minutes before my big day. She had my friend and I in tears. It was very magical when I opened my eyes. I felt like a true bride! I only have one complaint....the dressing rooms are a little small. I would definately recommend this store!

I took my daughter in there to purchase a wedding dress and was very pleased with the service and the large selection. The bride is assigned a "dresser" and they are there the whole time, giving suggestions and ideas. It was a very pleasant experience and we walked out with the perfect dress!

My experience with David's in the past has been reasonable crowds with reasonable prices, but current experiences have changed that impression. I urge women to look past the value and RUN to any other boutique. After dealing with lost records prior to the wedding date, unanswered phone messages, two surly salespeople too lazy and too bothered to help a woman prepare for "the best day of her life," the lacking focus of the managers causing me to waste way too much of my own valueable time disregard for a very stressful time, I have had it. I would donate a management lesson, but fear it be lost on the staff here, they seem totally baffled and unaware of the numerous problems they actually have. They may have been trained in retail sales, but have no sense of how to handle or prevent the chaos they have developed over the years.

The customer service here was poor. One of my bridesmaid dresses came in over a week later than they said it would. My consultant went on vacation and didn't tell me and no one else seemed to know what was going on with my order. On 3 occasions I called, was placed on hold, and eventually hung up on. Each time when I called back they took my name and number saying they would call back and they NEVER did.

the selection is good, alot to choose from but the people are not to friendly at least not when i was there and not very helpfull. Not all of the reps were bad, some of the ecessories are a little spendy though just like any bridal shop.
