Romios Pizza and Pasta

by Lexie M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,440

The Pizza here is much better than any chain pizza. However, my favorite is the cheese ravioli with the pink sauce. Not very many places have wine sauces, and Romio's is the best!

Romios Pizza

by Joyce R.

I am so thankful that Romios delivers. I live in Yakima and my best friend and her family live in Seattle. I wanted to do something nice for them and to my surprise I found Romios in Ballard on the Internet that was all to happy to provide that service for us. We ordered lasagna, calazone, fettuccine and all sorts of salads. They had a feast delivered at the appointed time piping hot! The food was fantastic, portions huge and the price was just right! You will always have my vote, keep up the good work! Joyce/Yakima

Great food and atmosphere for Italian with a Greek twist..

by Heather Z.

If you're looking for a great place for a date night or a family friendly atmosphere..and you wants Italian with a Greek twist..this is the place. The roasted garlic cloves are out of this world and can be added to anything..try the pizza with the goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and whole roasted garlic cloves..oh soooooo good! The honeyed goodness of the baklava with mounds of filo pastry and walnuts..it just melts in your mouth..it's soo great. The service is great and the owner is usually on site..he's wonderful. The Greenwood Romio's rocks!

NOT GLUTEN FREE

by GFinseattle

Avoid this place if you have celiac sprue and are looking for gluten free food. They are lying in their menu. I was tipped off by a -waiter- that the meatballs in the "GLUTEN FREE" meatball sub had breadcrumbs in them. I talked to the manager, who acted as if he felt really sorry for this, but backed it up. 90% gluten free doesn't count. How can you possibly trust a restaurant that doesn't even check their own ingredients lists for gluten?
Yet another failure in a long line of pizza and pasta places that want to cash in on the plight of GF sufferers.

Pros: no rabid dogs in lounge, honest waiters

Cons: getting poisoned, being lied to, colon cancer now that much closer

I love Romio's

by gsmom10

I love Romio's Pizza! The pizza's are always loaded with toppings. And the pasta dishes that my family has tried are good as well. We've eaten at the restaurant, and frequently request delivery, and it's always hot and fresh.

Pros: parking, good service, family friendly

Cons: dark restaurant

Greek pizza

by babyflowerann

I dont now haw come restaurant like Romios Pizza&Pasta, wich is famous to be Greek type of pizza place, and they offer Greek style pizza, can be the best Italian restaurant in Seattle? This is not right!!! If you like to have Italian pizza go to Tutta Bella, Via Tribunali or any other Italian restaurant.

Great pizza!

by skpayne

Romio's makes some of the best pizza in Seattle. Their sandwiches are great, too. I've probably ordered from them a dozen times and have never had any problems with their delivery.

Not the best italian restaurant!!!

by anaxonamoon

It was just ok. Chicken fettuccini was too buttery and tasteless. We've got our appetizer with our meal (at least nat as a desert). but the atmosphere was pleasant a nd service was pretty good for the rush hour. Not the best italian restaurant!!!

Pros: good service

Cons: not really good food

Always hot and fresh!

by lolapop

My whole family loves Romios! We've mostly ordered take-out and the pizzas are always delivered hot and fresh. Their pizzas are loaded with delicious combinations like the Gorgonzala Gourmet (my personal fav), which has gorgonzala cheese, roasted red bell peppers, fresh garlic and toasted walnuts. I never thought I would like walnuts on a pizza, but I was delightfully surprised! I love it more than ever now because it's summer time and Romios offers low-carb "no dough" pizzas and "pasta-less" pastas (which sounds crazy, but tastes great).

Great Italian Food, pizza is just o.k.

by sinxee

Romio's is a local favorite in Greenwood. It has a nice old italian, or maybe it's just dark and dirty, I'm not sure, ambience. The food is very tasty, however I do recommend ordering from their italian menu rather than their pizza. Their pizza has come the way of pizza conveyor ovens and tastes like 'toasted pizza' like the chain places. The one thing that kind of scares me about Romio's is that every time I pull into the parking lot, there are 3-5 employees standing outside the back door smoking. Not a very appetizing thought when you're about to go order food that will be prepared by some of these hands. They have great coupons online, and according to the table behind me, if you know the waitress well, you get a really big discount on your food.

Pros: Great Italian Food

Cons: Conveyor (toaster) oven pizza

In a word - Amazing

by cierrablue

I had a calzone which was so huge and delicious, no one could believe it. Friends had a pizza. The dough in both was very tasty as was the sauce. Both obviously homemade. We had both delivered so I don't know anything about the restaurant experience but the delivery service was quick and extremely friendly. We got the food before a baseball game and it showed up HOT!!

Need a 12 step program

by catjlt

Been ordering from Romio's for 6 years now. Always fast service sometimes so fast it's too hot to eat right away, and terrific food. If there ever is a goof they correct the problem immediately no questions asked. We have tried just about everything on the menu and so far we have not run into anything we didn't like. We have been in the restaurant a few times and it is always busy. Love this place- no other pizza can compare.

Pros: Great Food, Cost effective, Fast delivery

Cons: busy

BEST PIZZA EVER!!!

by norcocowgirl

Romio's has the best pizza I have ever eaten!! We used to order delivery there about 4 times a week and when it got there we felt like a couple of addicts digging in to get our fix. It was a taste sensation to die for. I assume the difference between Romio's and others is fresh ingredients. I just wish they were in California so I could still eat at Romio's.

Pros: Excellent Pizza, Fresh Ingredients

Cons: Does any thing else , matter?

Nice surprise

by camkay

After moving here 2 years ago, I have not been impressed with any eatery here. But Romio's could do well in any part of the country. It has a varied menu, not just Pizza. Actually, they seem to play down pizza in favor of their other fares. But I degress. The pizza was a surprise. I have tried 3 different varieties, and never been dissapointed. Worth trying out.

Pros: Inexpensive

Absolutely Great!

by mikeu41

I can't believe that this place has any reviews less than a 10. The Pizza is the BEST in Seattle. The other Romio's don't compare to Amir's on Greenwood Ave. Never had a bad meal and service has always been great! Great for dining in or take-out.

Pros: Inexpensive, Great Specials, Good Beer on Tap

10th best??? Is this a joke?

by commentator

In a word, "YUK." This is as close to pizza as Bucca di Beppo is to Italian. Or Taco del Mar is to Mexican. This place appeals to those who don't have the $$ to go anyplace else, and that's great. It's a neighborhood standard, and that's great too. But puhleeeeze, don't give it a best of show! Let it do what it does best, be mediocre and cheap and much loved by the locals. I live in the 'hood, but never eat there unless 90 yr old auntie insists.

Pros: nothing

Cons: food, "ambiance"

Lame in Greenwood

by onedogbarks

First of all, these guys can't even spell "Romeo". Who the hell is "Romio"? Certainly NOT an Italian!
When I was at a previous job, I used to be suckered into getting take out from this dank dive. Each time, we would call in our order from their unimaginative menu and ask them to please include utensils and napkins. As we were all famished, we actually wanted to be able to eat their medicre fare. This simple task proved too difficult for them. When we complained, they responded in a surly manner and were not willing to apologize , nor fix the problem! Did we stop going there? You bet!!! Seattle has many much better pizza restaurants! When you see a Romio's sign...especially on Greenwood, keep driving! Zeek's is just a little to the south. at about 60th.

Garlic is where it's at!

by KathleenMS

If you love garlic, try their garlic crust on any of their pizzas! Delicious! Their dough is handmade and hand tossed, the sauces are "just right" with a little zing, and their toppings are generous enough you need to eat your pizza with a fork! If your not into garlic, they do make their pizzas with traditional crust or whole wheat crusts. I admit, I've mainly eaten their pizzas, however I've heard good things over their lasagna! They're also terrific with their delivery service, I've never been disipointed!

Pros: Reasonably priced, Clean restaurant, Lots of seating

Cons: Limited parking
