Metro Autos emplyees Sean Keiser, Don Pierson and owner Doog Woods duped me into trading my Mercedes for a previously damaged car owned by Mr. Pierson. Mr Woods has avoided taking responsibility for what went on at his company, by his employees during their work hours. Beware and Be careful!

NOT SURE WHY ANYONE WOULD COMPLAIN ABOUT METRO. I BROUGHT MY MERCEDES C300 TO THEM AFTER BEING SIDE SWIPPED AND IT ONLY TOOK THEM 5 DAYS TO MAKE MY CAR LOOK BRAND NEW AGAIN! EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE WAS GREAT. THE OWNER EVEN GAVE ME A RIDE

If you have unlimited time, resources, and patience, then take your car to be repaired here.

Their quality is generally good - although if they can find a shortcut they'll take it. But every other aspect of the experience was truly miserable.

Cannot emphasize enough their total lack of communication. Multiple phone calls go unanswered - I feel sorry for the receptionist who has to tell bogus stories about people not being there or being gone for the day at 2pm.

And they will blame your insurance company whenever they can; but when I asked for timelines for their requests my insurance company was out within a day to inspect - certainly not the cause of the multiple delays.

If you have another quality option, take it! At the end of the day it will mean less money out of your pocket and a lot less stress and frustration (priceless!).

I got my car repaired recently for the fourth time and they did a great job, again! I had them repair three different cars (an Acura and two different BMWs) over the course of ten years and they have consistently done great work. Ryan and everyone working there are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend Metro.

I took my car in for repairs and there was no communication at all. No one ever called me to tell me how the repairs were going I had to call them if I wanted to know anything. Then my 8 day repair turned into a 35 day repair. So instead of driving around in my mercedes I was stuck in a rental for over a month. No one should ever take their car here. This place is a complete joke!!!!!!

Pros: NONE!

You should really educate yourself in the autobody industry before listening to people who look down on a shop because the estimate goes up or repairs take longer than estimated. It is just that an estimate! Insurance companies arent the easiest people to deal with if you want your car repaired the right way and a lot of things are out of the body shops hands.
I had my car repaired at Metro because the dealer recommended them and I couldnt be happier with the end results. It was however a very long process because my insurance company did not want to pay for the full repairs to get my car fixed properly. Metro did everything they could so that my car was fixed right and I did not have to get involved.
If I could make any recommendations about this shop I would say that the communication could have been better. I would have liked to understand the process more before the repairs began but now that I do understand I would never trade timeliness for quality. Because of the exceptional quality Metro will get all of my auto repair business (although I hope I never have to use them again :) )

My suggestion to improve service- take a communication class! I only had to replace a mirror- and it turned out to be very frustrating! First, I take it in at 8:00 and am told it will be done by 4:00. At 4:30 I still haven't heard anything so I call and learn that the purchased mirror was broken so they needed to order another. I don't know if they intended to keep it for the week, or if they were ever going to call!

They politely told me that they would call me when the parts were in. This never happened- I had to call to reschedule the appointment.

When I take the vehicle in for the re-scheduled appointment, I am assured it will be done by 4:00 so that I can make it to class. Again, 4:00 rolls around and I haven't heard anything. I call and am told that it won't be done until 5:00. When asked if I can pick it up later, I am told no... they close at 5:30. When I asked if they could leave the keys in it and pick it up after class, I am told no, they don't have anywhere to park it! As a result, I missed my law class to pick it up. When I get there, I am then told I have to bring it back it so they can buff the mirror!

Horrible experience! If you like being jerked around and need drama in your life- go here. If not- avoid it!

I was in a very unfortunate accident with my brand new car and called my dealership the next day to find out who the recommended body repair shop is in the area. Apparently the receptionist I talked to was un-informed because she sent me to Metro Auto Rebuild. In later conversations with the sales manager at the dealership, they have stopped recommending this body shop because of complaints from customers. Well, it was too late for me...but hopefully you are smarter than I am because you are reading this post BEFORE you engage them for your body work.

I won't go into the long, drawn out story. Let's just say that the actual work done on the car ended up being half of the initial estimate, and I have serious concerns over the relationship between the insurance adjuster and the body shop coordinator. The work that they did was visibly incomplete and poor workmanship (detailing was poor, paint was already cracking on the parts they replaced, they missed a "1/2 inch scratch on the bumper, and the tailpipes were misaligned/not matching). Not only that, but the Metro rep lied to me about the condition of the repair in the trunk. It was not at all close to previous condition and a visit to the dealership to look at a new car of the same year/model confirmed this. The sales manager at the Audi dealer examined the car and advised that I go back and get the poor work fixed, but that I also press them on replacing the tailpipe (it was too late to do anything about the trunk at this point).

I went back to the Metro and had to be very firm to get them to do the re-work needed. They eventually complied. Now they are conceding that, in fact, there are additional repairs required that they did not complete the first time around. I am furious and I've spent so much time on this issue that it's affected my life/work for the past 6 weeks now. Not only that, but I have very real concerns that there are things wrong with my brand new car that I don't know about.

Outstanding service - took my '98 BMW 540i in for a comprehensive claim -- Metro worked with my insurance company for additional costs, and even gave me a ride to a nearby location after I dropped off my car. They a took a few days longer than expected but it was because they waited to get a part in they needed to do the job correctly. The paint matching was second to none. If your priority is the end result - this shop is the place to go in Seattle. If you care about getting the car out of the shop as soon as possible - take it somewhere that will cut corners...

After being rear ended I took my Mercedes to Metro Auto Rebuild for the repair. They are a "Mercedes Certified" body shop so I had certain expectations concerning the service that I would receive. When I received the estimate it stated that the repair was estimated to take 15 days. I booked to repair and waited to hear that the parts were in and that they were ready to go. 10 days after giving them the car I received a call to let me know all the parts were in. What????? Based on my math skills my 15 day repair should now become a 25 day repair. If only it were that easy! It went on (and on, and on...) to a 65 day repair. On the day I was finally to pick up my car I was told by Metro that the last step was sending it to Phil Smart for final sign off. Well, when I picked it up the "Check Engine" light was on and my blinker did not work. Did it go to Phil Smart? I can't imagine that Phil Smart would of let it out of their shop with these issues.

All in all, the repair was done well. The huge problem for me was the lack of communication with me, the client, and total disregard to my situation.

I have had nothing but problems with Metro Auto Rebuild since taking my car in. After the estimate, we set up a date to have the repair work done, for some reason I decided to call to confirm my appt. before bringing my car in. When I called no one seemed to know who I was or what I was talking about. They finally squeezed me in - or so they say. It took about 38 days to have my car back. Each time I would call to check on the status they would tell me it would be done that week. Each time as the week neared the end I was told it would be next week. I heard excuses from parts not being ordered (or even heard that they had the parts but can't find them) to people being sick. One time I sat on hold for probably a good 20 minutes while they ran around the office trying to figure out what was going on. POOR customer service. Never really got calls back promptly and have worked with 3 or 4 different people now. My guess is that it is not a good work environment and that people leave quickly. Once I did get my car back it rattled very badly. It is currently back in the shop with them and I am once again experiencing delays in calling me back, getting updates on what is happening, etc. Hopefully it will not take 38 days to get it back this time.

I would not recommend using this body shop if you like to be taken care of and like one point of contact. Seems like they have new people everytime I call. Something must be wrong.

My husband and I have had 3 vehicles repaired at Metro Auto Rebuild, and we would never consider anyone else! The quality of the work is superb, the vehicles have been delivered spotless, and looking better than new. The staff has kept us informed the whole process, and have gone out of their way to take care of insurance concerns, rental car, and even given us rides when needed. I highly recommend them to everyone!

My brand new car was involved in a collision. I took it to Metro Auto Rebuild on the advise of my car dealer. Please run, run away from this shop. Upon a surprise visit I discovered the light interior of my brand new vehicle was not protected at all, the mat seats, dash board was all covered in dust. The floor mat was covered with grime there was a nice foot print to show that my car was used as a foot stand.

The worst part is I brought it to the attention of the Manager on duty, Andy, he said this was not a big deal it is typical and that the vehicle will be detailed before I get it back.....

In short, if you valued/love your vehicle, please avoid this shop

I took my husbands car in for an estimate. He had ripped off one side of his bumper pulling out of a parking place on one of those annoying cement stoppers. I asked for an estimate and Wayne took the car....I also pointed out a black scratch on the trunk that my huband said he wanted removed. I went for a coffee and came back 1/2 hr. later. Wayne brought out the car.....the bumper was reattached, the scratch gone and it had been washed! I was aghast, seeing as I had not authorized him to go ahead with anything. I hesitantly asked how much it was. I nearly fell over sideways when he told me it was free!! So, you know who's getting my next repair job. This kind of goodwill is wonderful to see in this day and age. No complains here.
