Pros: Huge menu and portions

Cons: Dubious service, bland food

CKF used to be a good standby for good food and good service no matter what city you were in, it was always consistent. Except Bellevue. Re-served bread (I know it was), BROWN lettuce, asking for water and the check 3x, and a general lack of care from the staff. No wonder this place was empty on a Sunday afternoon. I doubt I'll go back :(

I have had the opportunity to dine at many restaurants and NO other restaurant can compare to The Cheesecake Factory. The food and service were excellent. Anytime you walk into a restaurant and see lines of people waiting for a table, that's a great sign of things to come. The Chicken Madeira is fantastic, sauteed chicken with mozzerella and fontina cheeses, hot mashed potatoes, all served in a rich Madeira wine sauce... YUM! Oh did I mention the bathrooms? How often can you say you ate at a restaurant with bathrooms that look like a five star hotel lobby. I can't imagine being as busy as they are and still able to deliver the great food and service we had. It was husband's first time there and he has been taking all his clients there since...they all love it! I can't even talk about their desserts without wanting to jump in my car and drive there right now, 40 plus desserts are every sugar-lovers dream come true. Try the Godiva, WOW! Sure you can spend your $20 elsewhere, but this place is busy, hip, decorative, has great food and service, what more can you ask for?

The Cheesecake Factory is probably the best option I have when I dont want to overspend but want to still have declicious food with great customer service. My personal favorite is Cajun Jambalaya pasta and the Steak Diane... desserts are also very yummy! The original strawberry cheesecake is classic and very declicous, my new favorite is the white chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake... and when i am trying to lay off the calories, a goblet of fresh perfectly sweet strawberries and whipped cream satisfies my sweet tooth. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Just ONE thing though.... weekend nights have long wait lines, but you can always chill at the bar while waiting, it usually doesnt take more than 30 mins. :) ENJOY!

I enjoyed my first visit to The Cheesecake Factory. I did not wait long like other people have mentioned, mainly because I ate on a Sunday afternoon. A very energetic waiter escorted my sister and me. Our waiter actually surprised us twice, by sneaking up on us while we were reading our menus to take our orders. Still, he was very courteous, and allowed me to take his picture and even ask his age (20). He took our order for drinks and brought us the standard complimentary (and refilling) bread baskets. My sister ordered the lunch portion of Herb Crusted Filet of Salmon ($13) while I ordered the garlic spaghetti pasta with chicken ($16). I unashamedly took advantage of the bread as the wait for the food was rather long (about 15 minutes). The garlic sauce was a little too greasy and did not have enough of a garlic flavor for my tastes. However, I enjoyed the lemony breaded chicken in the pasta, which provided an interesting tangy taste in contrast to the slightly salty sauce. The sauce seemed comprised of mostly oil tomatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. The tomato chunks added a semi-sweet escape in the pasta, while the asparagus pieces were fun to crunch on and the mushrooms were satisfyingly chewy. Overall, my pasta was very filling and I found myself satisfied after finishing my pasta, and I am someone who can down 4-5 slices of pizza when hungry. It was noisy, but not overwhelmingly so, kind of like sitting in a full movie theater chatting with your friends before the previews start. The flowery marble/granite designs helped give an up-scale feeling, like the lobby of The Sheraton. I recommend it if you are looking to spend a fair amount of money, $50-60 for two people.

This place used to be good. My jambalaya, which I have had here before, was dry. No liquid at all. My son had the dry orange chicken. What happened to this place. So expensive yet so bad.

Personally, I love the Cheesecake factory. I went there in December and had great service. As a waitress, I understand that a restaurant with a 2 hour wait can be stressful for the waitstaff and many people are seated and already irritated because they just waited 2 hours. However, I've always gotten great service at every Cheesecake Factory I've been to. Also, about the kids menu- they don't have a kids menu persay, but I've gone with my neices, and there is tons of stuff for kids. Not on the menu, they have chicken strips and fries (a small portion), they have sides of macaroni, they have mini burgers that you can get with fries, quesadillas, taquitos etc. And they're all under $8. So, I think it would be unfortunate for you and your family not to go to the cheesecake factory because they don't have crayons, when they clearly have tons of things for kids to enjoy, even on a budget.

The Chessecake Factory has no kids menu! I was totally shocked when I took my three year old for lunch and found out I would have to order, and pay for, an adult sized portion for him. For anyone who has been to a Chessecake Factory, you know the portions are generous. And for a child, that's just an absurd amount of food. Even if leftovers are taken home, there is a tremendous amount of waste, of both food and money. On the Chessecake Factory website, their motto is "Something for Everybody". That is absolutely not the case. I encourage all parents who appreciate a kid-friendly atmosphere to stop frequenting all Chessecake Factories until they get the message that they are basically ripping off families with this type of business practice.

On a side note, the service seems to be slipping at the Bellevue location.

I've been to Cheesecake Factory in Bellevue three times. The first two experiences were alright - the portions of food were big and the service was mediocre. Compared to the Cheesecake Factory in Downtown Seattle, the wait isn't as long, plus there's free parking. However, this restaurant isn't good for a romantic evening; you can hardly hear anything. The last time I went prompted me to write this review. I decided to go there for my birthday and I was sadly disappointed. The service was terrible. Even though the wait may not be that long, it still was fairly long. We were told to stand aside for another 5-10 minutes after our turn had arrived to be seated. Our server forgot to order our appetizer and apparently it was the end of his shift because we got switched over to another server. The food itself was mediocre; I ordered a dish with chicken, and I found it burnt on the ends. My brother ordered a Sprite, and our new server failed to give him the right drink. This only irritated us more. The manager came over to apologize, but by then the night was already ruined. To say the least, it was probably one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant, unless you want to experience bad service.

Don't disappoint your party or group. Their seating process was deceptive and did not account for failed pagers, thus causing confusion for both the patrons and hostess. We waited for 30 minutes, then heard our name being called-out, but when we approached the hostess desk, we were told that if our pager didn't light-up or buzz, then you were not the one called. We waited another 45 minutes without a concern from the hostess and when asked why we were not called for the past hour and 15 minutes, they told us to stand in front of the bakers bar...without any apology or explanation of what happened. We waited another 15 minutes in front of the baker bar and we were too upset with the establishment to enjoy the evening. The waitress was friendly, but the food and their "cheesecake" was mediocre, which was not worth the wait and time. Big disappointment.

I love this restaurant and I HATE cheesecake! I have eaten here for both lunch and dinner and each time have left completely satisfied. Dinner usually requires a rather annoying wait for a table, but the food and atmosphere is well worth the wait. The "B.B. Chicken and Shrimp" is my favorite dish on the menu, with a peanut, spicy thai sauce engulfing the moist chicken pieces and shrimp with a mountain of sticky white rice. I always leave with leftovers and it tastes just as good the second time. The soft but eclectic color tones and beautiful architecture make it a great restuarant to take a date or simply enjoy a night out with friends. I would highly recommend this venue.

The Cheesecake Factory hosts a nice environment and offers the perfect type of food for a date. The food might be a little heavy, both on the fat and on your wallet, but it feels so good when it's going down (your cheesecake, not your money to the drain). You might want to call ahead to make reservations, because if you decide to spur the moment, you'll be greeted with a wait of up to 30 minutes.

I went with a group of 9 people for a Bachelorette Party. We were told that the wait would be 20-55 minutes. Which was quite a difference in time. We ended up waiting over an hour. And then when our pager went off, we had to wait another 7 minutes. The hostess didnt seem like she knew what she was doing. There was a lot of variety on the menu of things to eat. I ordered the Baja Chicken Taco. It sounded really good, but was very plain, and really not good. The chicken tasted like it was missing something. The beans and rice that came with it was good. They are very expensive to, for just myself my total came to 26.99. And their cheesecake was just average, and expensive also. I will try them again with just my husband to see if they are any better next time.

I recently went for lunch with my friend while visiting. I had a great time, the waitstaff was friendly and the food was very good and arrived hot. I liked the variety of foods on the menu. The Sliders reminded me of "White Castle Hamburgers" from a Brooklyn Chain. I loved the look and feel of the place and of course its close proximity to shoppng!!My cheesecake was very good too!-JenNYC

The service could be better, but the Cheesecake factory does pull people in with the wild atmosphere and the huge selection of meals on the menu. The food is upper end but not terrific. make reservations ahead of time and its best to go with a big crowd.

Sept 1, the length of the wait is inexcusable! 15 - 20 minutes wait. Since it was such a nice day out, we requested to be seated outside. Approximately 20 minutes, our pager went off. We went up to the counter, where they proceeded to take our pager, THEN ask us to WAIT AGAIN over in the bakery?? This is very irritating. I don't mind waiting...but having my pager go off, thinking that we will be seated, then having to wait another 5 minutes is NOT acceptable! They came and called out our name and proceeded to take us outside for our seat. Much to our surprise, there was NO seat!!She offered to seat us inside or, we could WAIT AGAIN!! We had patiently waited and waited....then they wanted us to wait again?? At that point, we had decided the Cheesecake Factory, was not worth the wait!

no service, make you wait 20 minutes buzzed me that my table is ready then wait AGAIN for 6 minutes then called my name, then the seat I waited for outside was taken, so they told me I had to wait AGAIN. So I ate across the street instead much friendlier, and I only had to wait once. The sad thing is, that the large outside seating during lunch was not even open in 80 degree weather. There were other people also leaving because of the wait.

My coworker raves about this place, so on a recent visit from my family, we all (seven people total, inc two children) decided to try it out. It was disappointing at best. First, we were told it would be 10-20 minutes. 45 minutes later, we were finally coralled into another line and waited about five more minutes to be seated. We waited probably another ten minutes to meet our server, 15 more to order drinks, and 15 more to order food. When it finally arrived, not a single one of us was impressed: the food was bland and boring, and the more creative entrees were just weird. We were not in any mood to try the desserts, although I have had the cheesecake before, and it's pretty good. This place was a complete waste of an evening.

Tried the Bell Square Cheesecake Factory for the third time late last week. Again found the food to be average to bland. Chicken sandwich was okay, but uninspired. Fries were good, but who needs a big stack? My co-worker's roasted vegetable quesadilla was passable, but she thought BBQ sauce on it was a bit weird. Service is friendly, but slow and bumbling. There are lots of better places to get something to eat in Bellevue. Forget about this place.

I have now been to the Cheesecake factory three times in three states: Wash DC, ATL, and now Seattle/Bellevue. This last experience was the worst. Sure, it's a typical chain restaurant, but the food was awful, and the service was just plain bad. I had dinner last Tuesday night and it was very disappointing. Let's see, it took 15 minutes to bring out a drink, the lettuce was pale and sour, the Jambalya pasta that they claim to be most popular had very little flavor and was completely overcooked. When the waitstaff cleared the table they spilled food on me. The waiter sort of mumbled "my bad" and didn't even make a cursory attempt to help me out. Seriously, they need to do something about their servers, their attitude is horrible, I would hardly call it service. Take my advice, skip the Cheesecake factory.

My husband and I have only gone twice, but we'll be back. We went for lunch on a Friday around noon. We didn't have to wait long to be seated, and service was good (a bit slow, but otherwise fine). The second time we went it was around 9pm for dinner. We were seated immediately and service was prompt. The food was delicious both times!! Don't forget to save room for the cheesecake, it's not to be missed. Even if you're full, order a couple slices to take home. We've had 4 kinds so far -- key lime, raspberry lemon, kahlua and mud pie -- and all were fantastic.

I liked my meal so much that I ate my hefty portion of Pad Thai (what I expected, more sweet than spicy), and I helped finish my date's Luau Salad (artful with a delicious dressing), and then it was "Bring on the cheesecake!" The only complaints I have are regarding the wait, and the fact that even though the entree's are value priced, the appetizers and and desserts seem puny for the cost. Its big and busy, but once we were seated, it was a delightful evening. I would probably come back with a group, because its fun and anyone can find something they'd like on their extensive menu.

I've tried the Cheesecake Factory several times--always hoping to be pleased with my lunch or dinner selection. Inevitably, I'm disappointed. Always noisy, crowded, spotty service, and a bland, unimpressive menu--these are not the trademarks of a good restaurant. If, however, you like cheesecake (and I do), then CF is the place for you.

Great place to go when you don't know quite what your taster's set for, but you want to be sitting at a table when you decide. Both food and service were good, though the wait can be very long for a table. Use the time to peruse the dessert case, for it can take a very long time to decide on just one!

The Cheesecake is a definite must; a nice texture compromise of New York and creamy style. Eat only half your dinner to save room for it - my wife and I took both food and c-cake home.

It was about $60 for all, including one of their specialty drinks for 2. We'll be back.

Pros: good food, GREAT cheesecake

Cons: very crowded

My boyfriend took me there on Monday (9/2) for our anniversary dinner. We only had to wait 10 minutes for a table and were seated in a cute little booth. The menu had so many choices and all kinds of drinks. The cheesecake menu was so mouth-watering! I personally had the Lemon and Garlic Shrimp over Angel Hair Pasta with alfredo sauce instead of their tomato. It was scrumptious! I had the tirimisu cheesecake and I have never had such a geat cheesecake before! I highly reccomend this place for any type of dining. The atmosphere is fabulous for romantic couples. They don't make reservations, so get there by 6pm to ensure you'll get prompt seating. And they make their drinks strong, so be sure to tell them what you like!

Having recently been to the Cheesecake Factory for the fourth time, I can honestly say that this is the best restaurant in Bellevue.
The atmosphere, food, service and value for money is great.

Way too expensive. My date ordered a raspberry lemonade, it says free refills. It costs 3.50. Then the waiter gave us a regular lemonade for the refil, we asked why and he explained that's the deal, no raspberries for the refill. The menu didn't say that and that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Then we shared an appetizer, it was tiny and way over priced. Even if the few bites of the southwest egg rolls were good, overall it was not worth it. The cheesecake was thick and yummy, but not worth 6.00 and some.

We arrived for an early lunch during the weekday at 11:30 a.m. and were seated right away. About 5 minutes later, all seats were taken. I had the Oriental Chicken salad which was huge. It tasted great. My daughter had the Orange Chicken made with white meat only and returned a week later to order the same thing. We enjoyed getting to pick from what seems like 31 varieties of cheesecake. Cheesecake Factory has an extensive menu ready to please everyone.
