One of the best AND family owned.

by Danielle F.

Ken (tall thin guy with glasses) owns the place and you can usually see him walking around getting to know customers as well as helping out the wait staff by taking pizza orders. The atmosphere is laid back and reminiscent of a time when Kirkland was still a small time town. The pizza is as close to perfect as you can get with a hand tossed crust which is crispy and chewy. The sauce gives nice base that adds a layer of flavor without taking over the pie. Great beer (regular AND root!) selection. Oh and don't forget to order some garlic knots slathered in melted garlic butter. I have eaten the pizza more times than I can count and every time I still pause to say out loud "daaaang this is good pizza. how on earth do they do it?"

Re: One of My Favorites

This place is YUMMY! They have garlic rolls and if you don't order them you are missing out. Good value for the serving size. They have a great family deal too if you want to go out with the family for a fun evening but be frugal on the budget. I think they are family owned too which is always a plus for me as I like to support the small famiy business.

What a wonderful thick crusted pizzaria! But the kids love it more then me! It has almost become a friday night tradition at our family's house! The 4 cheese pizza is the best!

The worst!

by CL3PS

I gave them my business because as a kid, I enjoyed this place - either they've changed or thankfully, my tastes have refined!

The pie crust was thin with a texture like a wet paper plate & the outer crust was thick but overcooked, tough, too chewy with no flavor. The sauce was bland, I could only identify pureed tomatoes & a sprinkle of oregano & so wet that the cheese & toppings slipped off the soggy crust with every bite! Being overcooked, the toppings lost their savory flavor. Veggies & herbs shouldn't be burnt & crispy.

Quite expensive, added 5 non-meat toppings to a medium cheese pizza & it came out to $23! Each topping cost $1.80 - why does minced garlic cost the same to add as grilled chicken? Now I know why there was a need for their competitor to open another pizzeria walking distance away across the parking lot! I'll got there next time, wish I had this time!

Cons: overpriced, overcooked, poor quality ingredients

I Will Never Walk into this Place Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by noff72

It does not get much worse than this joint.

I called this place to order a take out pizza for three adults and a child. I ordered a multi-topping pizza for the adults and requested that a quarter of the pizza be left cheese-only as the child would not like the toppings.

I was informed that "they do not do quarter pizzas." I politely asked that they consider an exception, noting that I was not asking them to cook four different quarter pizzas but rather just asking for a small portion to be left without toppings for a child. After speaking to the manager the girl on the phone very rudely refused to make the pizza as I requested.

I arrived to pick up my pizza and spoke with the manager and explained my dissatisfaction. He was twice as rude as the girl on the phone and just ?walked away? in the middle of our conversation.

To top this all off, the pizza was some of the worst pizza I have ever had. The place embarrasses the City of New York by sticking its name on its outdoor signage. The Caesar salad I ordered was bland, and contained nothing more than lettuce and ?grocery store brand? caliber croutons and dressing. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

Pros: None other than that I don't have to go back

Cons: Rude Staff/Management; Legendarily Bad Food; Dirty

Best Pizza Joint in Seattle

by Dennisthecat

This place is great. The service, the owner (Ken) and the food. This is by far the best pizza in Seattle. We have looked for years until we found this place. We have been going back for many years now since we found it. The garlic rolls are addictive. The pizza is thin crust and always done to perfection. The only complaint I have is the cramped booths (but that is really my fault - too much pizza I suppose). I recommend this place to all my friends and have converted quite a few.

Keep up the good work Ken.

Pros: Great food, great service, great fun

Cons: none

Great Neighborhood Hangout---VERY kid friendly!

by EateryReviews

Wait to be seated... Staff does not actively greet the customers, but maybe they're shy. Booths are a little cramped and worse for wear, but the place is very kid friendly. Crayons, paper, and a rock and roll music radio station playing make it a perfect place to bring the family. Staff is very relaxed..I don't know, I guess they could be more outgoing and smile more... Food service is quick though and portions are pretty huge. The garlic rolls are outrageously delicious (habit forming, really) and the salads are prepared as ordered-very FRESH! The pizza is good and made in a real pizza oven, so the crust has the old world taste. If anything, the dough could use a little more salt, but that's being picky. Generally, it's a friendly place, with reasonable pricing, and a laid-back atmosphere. Chill there and take your time. They won't rush your meal, that's for sure.

My only choice

by skrewpunk

I discovered Bridal Trails New York Pizza about 2 years ago and I haven't gone anywhere esle for pizza since. Great pizza, salads, lasagna, garlic rolls and beer. I love the easy goin atmosphere and the smell of a pizza in the oven. I love to check out their game room. They have pinball machines and games from back in the day and some that go back even farther. I highly recomend BTNY Pizza to everyone!!!

Pros: Great pizza, classic arcade favorites, and value.

I'll drive hours to get this pizza!!

by postalbarbie

Well this is my first ever blog... but I gotta say something about this place.......OMG!!! It is so gooood! Ok, they have a family special that includes an extra large pizza and garlic rolls and the biggest trough of salad you have ever seen. There must be at least an entire head of lettuce in there. And the pizza is that really good new york style.....like thin, (but not a lame cracker crust) and huge pieces. And they make those little yummy sausage nuggets. And it's like only a little over 20 bucks for all that food.... Dang! It is so good that I'm going over there right now!! Oh, the service was friendly and good as well.

Pros: Great food, great price, great value!

Cons: Ambience could use a little work and they really need new booths.

What happened?

by tastereview

Years ago this used to be very authentic tasting back east pizza. Now, it isn't the same. Perhaps new owners? Not sure, but the atmosphere with red and white checkered tablecloths is still there and kid friendly. Brting the pizza back.

Pros: Kid friendly

Cons: Pizza isn't the same

Good people but not good food.

by tounces

Being from Buffalo, NY myself, I was rather looking forward to eating some "New York" pizza again. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed in what they claim is NY style pizza. The Garlic rolls were pretty good, but the pizza was pretty bad. I wouldn't say it's as bad as eating the cardboard they serve at "Pizza Pi", but definitely not worth going back. Prices were somewhat higher than average. The service was good though, and the servers friendly.

Great Pizza! Good for kids 6+

by jamilehd

Seated promptly on a weeknight at dinnertime, immediate service with the most delicious garlic rolls and drinks. Kiddo had a great time with the classic arcade games! Pizza was FANTASTIC and HUUUGE slices. There are so many things on the menu that I wanted to try!

Pros: Great Atmosphere, Amazing Pizza, Family Atmosphere

Cons: Gets busy so food service can be a bit slow/

Great food

by mechengr77

The pizza was great. The meat has a great flavor that made stop eating hard. It was a great stop to the standard eating out. However they did mess up the order, they did not charge for it and had a backup that was worthwhile. If I make it back to this area (I am from Houston, TX), I know where to come get some great food.

Pros: Great food and pizza, service was great as well

Cons: None really

Great local pizza joint!

by tygirljojo

My bosses introduced me to this joint a little over a year ago and it is definitely one of the best pizza places around. While I'm not a New Yorker (nor have I yet traveled to NY) I have been told by people who are that this place is as close as they can get to a New York style pizza in the Seattle area, so I'll take their word on it. The one thing I will say is sometimes their pizzas can be a bit on the oily side (again, apparently New York style?) The pizza has always been done right and delicious, only down side would be even though I've shown up 5-10 minutes after when they say the pizza will be done, I usually end up having to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for the pizza to be done (they can get busy, so that does cause backups at times). All in all, if you want to try and avoid the mainstream pizza places, I would recommend giving this place a try - you'll probably find that you like it.

Pros: Pizza, location

Cons: Parking iffy sometimes, wait times

No better pizza place

by whichonespink35

There is absolutely no reason not to love New York Pizza. They've got a fantastic atmosphere where you can really feel the enthusiasm of the employees. It's a really enjoyable place to go and sit down and eat, you can bring your kids and let them get addicted to the fantastic classic arcade games, and the pizza is simply out of this world. Classic New York style thin crust pizza, and you can watch them hand toss the dough behind the counter. It really is a fantastic operation. We go every Thursday when it's less busy, since Friday nights are very crowded. But that's merely a testimony of the fantastic service, product, and atmosphere of this perfect little pizzeria. I would strongly suggest it to anyone who's looking for a great pizza be it to go or sit down. Go and try it for yourself, it's simply fantastic.

Pros: Food, Ambience, People

Great NY-Style Pizza

by jld123

My son and I have been going to this former Piecora's satellite for about five years now. The pizza is out-of-this-world. It has the NY-style thin crust and their homemade pizza sauce is some of the best I've ever tasted; it's seasoned just right. The cheese is great, too -- I think it must be whole-milk mozzarella. I personally like the pizza with the sausage, sweet fried peppers and garlic. The garlic butter rolls are great. And Ken, the owner-manager, is just a great guy. All of the people who work there are great. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Pros: Great Pizza, Good Value, Friendly Staff

Cons: Can get crowded

An Outstanding Neighborhood Pizzeria

by prentice3

Bridle Trails New York Pizza is one of those wonderful neighborhood places where people stand in line to get in. That's always an indication that the food is worth waiting for. Once in and seated, you're immediately treated to hot rolls, brushed with garlic and melted butter.

When you're ready to order, and if you like real meat on your pizza, go for the Gotham. It comes with five different meats on it, and it is awesome.
