This truly the place to go for anything kitchen and I mean anything. It may not be the cheapest, but it will have it. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
4As the original store, this Sur la Table isn't much to write about. It needs to learn from some of its newer cousins in Las Vegas, D.C., etc. It is cramped, with too much merchandise & not enough space. The aisles are so close together, one needs to let the other pass if you are in the same aisle. It does nothing in terms of displaying merchandise attractively. Also, the customer service is terrible: not enough staff, and those that are there seem frazzled, and not willing to take the time. In contrast, staff at other Sur la Table stores are knowledgeable and very helpful. Rather than reminiscent of those quaint French kitchen & linen stores, the entire ambience reminds me of being in your grandmother's attic stuffed with ""things""...UNINVITING!

Pros: Lots of merchandise
Cons: No parking, terrible customer service, cramped
I have been shopping at Sur La Table for many years. They only had one store at the Pike Place Market back then, now they are everywhere. They have a wonderful selection of high quality cookware, kitchen items, and cook books. They are expensive but it is because they only carry high quality merchandise. I still have my Zyliss Garlic press that I purchased there 13 years ago. I have used it alot and it is still good as new. I have bowls from 14 years ago. Still like new. My point is that the quality of the items that they carry make it worth the extra cash that you pay. It is not cheap junk.
PROS: Quality Merchandise
CONS: Pricey (but worth it)

This is a great little gourmet shop but pricey. If you are looking for a pepper mill, then save your money and go to a box store. But if you want that little something gourmet for a gourmet in your life come here. They have a great selection of all those little cooking doodads that you can't live without. I love htese kinds of stores.

Sur La Table has anything that a chef could ever dream of but you will have to have a high-limit credit card to purchase these items. Very high priced items - save your money and go to Bed, Bath and Beyond.
3There's just something unique about this shop in the heart of Pike Place Market. I love stopping by, picking up something or just browsing...\nThe staff is incredibly knowledgable.
