Frankie's is a charming, family-owned neighborhood Italian Cafe, located one block north of Redmond Town Center, on Redmond Way in downtown Redmond, Washington. We specialize in homemade Italian cuisine, made fresh from scratch daily. Our menu includes New York style pizza (Traditional and Gourmet), calzones and pasta (traditional Italian pastas and original creations). We also have a wonderful selection of appetizers, salads, espresso and homemade desserts. We have a large selection of beers, including many local microbrews and our wine list is one of the most extensive and highest qualities you'll find in a small, casual restaurant at affordable prices.

Great pizza and good beer selection

by Lori S. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 107

I've almost always ordered take-out here. But, the pizza is very good. A good variety for meat lovers and veggie lovers. I've eaten in once and sat outside on their patio. A pleasant time.

Great Food...

by Chriss C. | insider Insider | Rank: 32,516

Frankies is always a great meal, I really like all of the pizzas and the beer selection is adequate. I have to say I have never had a great service experience. They are usually packed (which isn't a bad thing necessarily) but the servers are not on their game. I almost never get a second check in once the order is taken and it is impossible to get your bill when you want it. The food has been worth the bad service, but just barely...

Great Family Place

by P. M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,992

We took our children to this restaurant, and they loved it. The staff was very attentive, and gave us coloring pages and crayons, and were quick to respond to requests of extra napkins, and even to modify our order. They were great about providing recommendations to us, and their selections were super tasty with generous portions. It's busy, and not very big so we went early to avoid the wait. They also have takeout. The Pizza is amazing!

PROS: Child Friendly, great pizza
CONS: Busy, with sometimes long waits

Best Pizza in Maple Valley, Covington, Kent Area

by Ieatseefood

I'm a big fan of pizza and I've eaten just about every pizza joint in King County. By far, Frankie's Pizza tops my list along with Pagliacci Pizza. They do sell pizza by the slice from 11-2 but the variety is just not there and tends to get old from sitting there to long. I like pizza that is hot and fresh. Overall, I give a high rating to their pizza's..because it's really really good. I'd would eat there more often if the prices weren't so high, compared to other local pizza joints, that's the only con.

Pros: AWESOME PIZZA

Cons: I wish there was more coupons

The Best Pizza & Friendly Staff

by Rickm24

My wife and I have been going to Frankies since it opened its doors, and what keeps up coming back is
everything about the place. It has a very friendly, upbeat
atmosphere, the staff is the best, as is Frankie & his
son Chris. The first bite of pizza brought me imme-diately back home to my roots(San Francisco) and
it keeps getting better with each passing year. The place is consistently good, and thats says it all. It's
also my Son's favorite pizza place. While he was
stationed here we frequented the place on weekends.
So keep up the good work!

Pros: Staff, Food, Price

Cons: none

Italian - Just Like Home

by EmmanuelFonte

If you?re looking for authentic Italian food with ambiance to match, you HAVE to try Frankie?s.
This family owned eatery is friendly and inviting. All of the dishes are proportioned and enjoyable. Very reasonable prices, great wine list are the norm.
If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, be prepared to wait, but I assure you, it will be worth it.

Awesome service, best food, great price!

by EXECassist

I order catering, set up, and tear down for business events. When I ordered from Frankie's on 5/13/08, they were here on time and the food was preserved so that it stayed hot hours after delivery. I've had lots of experience with other caterers.... I highly recommend Frankie's. TASTY! The whole group loved it. They were also correct about the amount of food needed for the number of guests we were expecting. They have large portions, so order accordingly.

Thanks Frankie's!

BEST OF THE BEST!!

by eweyand

I have been going to Frankie's for over 10 years and can't say enough good things about this place! The wait staff is always pleasant, the food is ALWAYS delicious and very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very classy. I have read the other reviews regarding the wait time on the weekends but will tell you that this restaurant is worth the wait! Over the years I have taken many family members and friends to this restaurant and I have never heard anything but good things. Just writing this review makes me want to run over and order up a Kona Coast pizza and some breadsticks with marinara sauce. Do yourself a favor and go visit Frankie!

Pros: Food, service, and the ambience

Cons: To my knowledge, there is only one location

Best pizza in Seattle area

by apeboy

I've been going to Frankie's for over ten years and have never been disappointed. Frankie is a really nice guy as well and always seems to be around to make sure everything is in order.

In my opinion it is the best pizza in the Seattle area. I am not a big wine person myself, but I understand they're well known for having a great selection.

Pros: Best pizza in town

Cons: Don't go on a Friday night! Too crowded!

We love Frankies!

by jcfarnham

We have been going to Frankies for years now. It is by far the best of it's kind around. My favorite is the greek salad with the Italian sausage bake. The wine list is impressive. And Frankie is always around making sure everyone is happy (we always are!) Don't let the wait bother you on a busy Friday night. Have a nice glass of wine while you wait for your table.
I never write reviews but this family run business deserves a 5 star rating!

Pizza Florentine....Best Pizza on the Planet

by brucej

I love this place. We lived in Maui for 3 1/2 yrs and dear friends hand carried Pizza Florentine on their laps - on the plane - to us!! This is the best pizza I've ever had - anywhere. The service is always friendly, the ambience is warm and "neighborhoody"....it's wonderful. I've discovered their wine list is extensive - but not as extensive as the owner's (Frankie) wine knowledge....it's incredible. He has a way to link extraordinary Italian wine with extraordinary Italian food - it's a gift.

Excellent Service & Wine

by butterboyd

I recently stopped by Frankies and was happily surprised w/ the prompt efficent service. The waitress was very personalbe, knew the menu & wine list quite well, and even when quizzed about each wine, this bubbley blonde excelled at explaining the intricate nature & region of each wine selection. Also, when dessert came around she didn't hesitant to recommend the cheesake, and being in sales I'm a hard sell, but this server I have to say was great & even though I was quite full from average pizza she sold me on a piece! Overall rating would be service is A+ Food (pizza only) a C -

Pros: Good service

Cons: Average pizza

horrible slow service.....just ok food....they just didn't care about our whole table!

by oceanbluemocha

I was so disappointed at the horrible service and food at Frankies during our son't High School family graduation party. We were lucky to get water. It wasn't busy, in fact it was almost empty with a full staff who would rather chat with each other than serve a table of 7! They made sure to add on their tip to the bill though.....have heard that complaint many many times from friends and clients. We will never go back again. Order from dominos instead. They at least want to serve you a hot yummy pizza. I was so embarrassed...and we used to LOVE Frankies...not any more.

Pros: they can make good food

Cons: the service is un-reliable and slow slow slow

Never gone back... Never will...

by aries88666

The food wasn't bad, mmm, just below par. But the service sucked. The wait staff surely does not share the same vision as the owner. Met Frankie on the way out and told him about the waitperson and the terrible service. Apologized but not sincere. I guess he has enough other people (regulars) to not care too much about compaints.

Pros: none

Cons: bad parking and terrible service

Best Italian place in Redmond

by darxpryte

Frankies is one of my go-to places when I have people in from out of town and they want Italian. It's a little packed on Fridays, however you soon find out why. Often times people ask me what's good there and the answer is "Everything", the entrees, the pizza, the calzones, it's all wonderful. They have a very large wine selection, but if you're on a budget or can't decide, even house chianti is a great deal. Sometimes Frankie himself will go around the tables and see how you're doing! You don't see that kind of service often. Frankies is one of those places that makes you wonder why people go to The Olive Garden. Like a true Italian restaurant, they always make sure you're well fed, and there's a good chance you'll be taking home leftovers.

You won't regret going to Frankies, the best pizza in town! No kidding!!!!

by hrairk

If Jesus were alive today, this would be his favorite place for pizza! The pizza sauce is not too salty, the dough is made fresh in-house and the toppings are all fresh and delicious! I'm a very picky person and don't usually give good ratings for anyplace, Frankie's is an exception.

Pros: Delicious, hot and fresh pizza! Hands down, it's the best in Redmond, if not greater Seattle area.

Cons: Can't think of any. Maybe the pizza is a little on the oily side. Just soak it up with a paper napkin, it'll be perfect. Unless you love oil.

exceptional food and wine - reasonable pricing

by rico55

we have been eating at Frankies for over 10 years and are huge fans. The atmosphere is always friendly and lively with a warm family feeling. the menu is full of original creations that are a delight. I am especially fond of the pizza menu and regularly insist that it is "the best pizza in the world"! Frankies also provides an amazingly diverse selection of wines from all over the world. I have never had a wine at Frankies that I didn't like and yet the wine is priced much better than most restaraunts. If you like wine, eating at Frankies is a great way to find many new wines that can become favorites. We highly recommend this restaraunt.

Pros: Great food, Great service, Reasonably priced

Cons: popular = crowded

Pizza Florentine....BEST PIZZA ON EARTH!!!!

by brucejarrard

I dream of Pizza Florentine. The cheeses are the best I've ever had on pizza and the homemade sausage is just the best. We moved to Maui and Our Dear Friends arranged a "personal delivery" by hand carrying Pizza Florentine to us....the only downside was we had to share.

Pros: Pizza Florentine, Fresh ingredients, Friendly service

Cons: Parking can be tough

Pizza I could eat everyday!!!

by mollytamolly

Frankie's is a fantastic family owned restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone who comes near it. I have actually eaten there several days in a row and never gotten sick of it. I have family in the area but live in New York, so believe me when I say I know good pizza. I love, love, love the garlic chicken pizza and could seriously happily eat it everyday. They have tons of meal options from low-carb to seasonal and I have always left full and happy. Go now if not sooner!

Pros: PIZZA, family-oriented, upbeat atmosphere

Cons: I can't go everyday

Over-Rated with BAD Pizza

by rcruz321

The pizza at Frankie's was awful! The pizza was bland and the crust was so mushy. I have to say I thought it was akin to frozen pizza. With such a high rating, I was hoping for so much more - but I was undoubtedly disappointed by how inaccurate the rating was.

Pros: None

Cons: Sub-par pizza, Over-rated

Everyone agrees, the best pizza in Seattle

by theframeguy

My wife and I have been coming to Frankie's and bringing friends for 7 years and we pretty much have seen the same staff working here the entire time. My wife works at MSFT and always brings in Frankie's Pizza for lunch meetings. Everyone we have exposed to Frankie's agrees it is the best pizza in Seattle, even our 3 year old son. Our new baby son can't wait to try the "classic combo."

Pros: Kid Friendly, Great Staff

GREASE

by m16huny

When we finally got our pizza, it had a pool of grease in the center of it, and was as floppy as a piece of bread left well, sitting in a pool of grease. This place is NOT kid friendly...inattentive staff, slow service, and grease pizza. We may have come on a bad night, but I havent worked up the nerve to try the place again.

Pros: friendly staff

Cons: , NOT child friendly, GREASEY pizza

Best Restaurant in Redmond!!!

by kmack

My friends and family and I have always chosen Frankies for our best dining in Redmond. Family-owned, Frankie is often found walking around the dining room asking diners about their experience and soliciting suggestions. Atmosphere is excellent for couples, families, anyone looking for good salads, pizzas, and calzones! Very fresh ingredients and good seasonal menu options. I wholeheartedly recommend the breadsticks, caesar salad, and calzone Veneto. Pizza Margherita is excellent as well! Wine list is top-notch with many local Washington wines.

Pros: Great Wine List, Excellent Calzones, Family-Owned

The Best Pizza in all of Seattle

by pizzaboy369

I have been to every top rated pizza place in the Seattle area including Paggliaci's, Northlake Tavern, Atlantic Street, Piecora's, Bigtime and many many more. Frankie's is the best! They hand toss their dough in full view. Their igredients are always fresh and they use the best cheese. I recommend the Frankie's Special Pizza and the Greek Salad. The wine list is a great value. The people are very friendly, but not anoying like many chain restaurants. They are always busy, so be ready to wait.

Pros: The Best Pizza, Friendly Service, Good Value

Cons: , No Reservations

Mediocre at best

by eatamaphone

There is nothing special about this place at all. The pasta is fair to bad. The meatball sandwhich is okay. The pizza is just north of acceptable. The wine list is not worth speaking of. I have eaten here twice--once on a date, once with a group of friends--and have been severely unimpressed. If you want something quick and cheap eat here. If you want something exquisite (which Italian food should be) do not.

Pros: cheap, fast, parking

This a great place to get some of the best pizza on the Eastside. The variety is great, the ambience is pleasant and inviting and once seated you are treated better then the owner. I have and several occasions even had Frankie himself stop at the table ask what he can do to make the evening more pleasant.

Pros: Food, Ambience, Service

This is a nice unpretentious spot where you'll see the owner working more often than not. You get a friendly staff, simple but well prepared pizzas and pastas and a nice cozy atmosphere somewhere between Pizza Hut and find dining. Busy at times (weekend nights, lunch) but service is usually quick.

Consistenly Good

by cpbrydges

This is one of the true great restaurants in Redmond. Prepare for a wait even if there are few people in the place because the staff is mostly young folks learning the trade. Their hearts are in the right place but are on the learning curve practicing on you the diner. But, the food is wonderful. Pastas are cooked according to taste and sauce, the pizza's come with a chewy/crisp crust and wonderful fresth toppings and the salads are fresh with plentiful ingrediants. For a real treat, try the hot garlic bread - to die for. Prices are reasonable and no one is rushing you out the door which is nice. We love coming here especially for Saturday lunch.

Pros: Great Food, Reasonable Prices, Nice spot

Cons: Staff in Training, Cramped Parking, Can be quite Crowded
