If you want to feel like a million and LOOK like a million, go to this salon. I'm new to the area and not only did they squeeze me in on my first appointment when I needed it the most, but I came out with a fantastic haircut and style from Riley Carolan. She's excellent and knew how to deal with my frizzy/temperamental hair. How often do you go home and put your head under the faucet so you can style your hair yourself? Not here! My hair has looked great everytime I've walked out the door. I've noticed other people in the salon look really great, too. Prices are very reasonable.

This is a salon that cares about your business with a follow up call to see how the service was and if I was happy...the sign of a business that wants to please. Highly recommended!

I have experienced many salons and stylists in my 38 years and Theresa is by far the most talented. She is friendly, professional and uber skilled in current styles and trends. I always get an amazing cut that grows out gracefully until my next appointment. Teresa is also extremely honest... some might even say so honest that it's a dis-service to her own income. I asked about highlights (Teresa is aware of my current budget situation) ... and instead of encouraging me to spend more money in her salon, she discouraged me from getting them because she knew the upkeep of these highlights would be costly and not in my budget currently. I thought this was extremely thoughtful. That honesty, thoughtfulness and her amazing skill will keep me a loyal customer for years to come. Thanks Teresa!!

Love this salon! I have never in my life felt the desire to go back to the same stylist twice...not that i've never had a great cut/color, but I never felt the service was worth going back to. The grass is greener syndrome?
After seeing Teresa I have changed my ways! She starts by giving such a thorough consultation, I could have closed my eyes for the rest of the appointment...My hair was safe in her hands. Her detail, and concern that I was getting what I asked for and what had been talked about was un-equaled by anyone I had seen before! She honestly cared about what I was getting and what would look best. She has found a new loyal client! love it!

Keep the costs the same, the owner is a great stylist but her trim and cut are two different things. We have been to her a couple of times and she does a wonderful job but what she says the cost is going to be is not what she tells you in person. We can afford anyone in town, but to get a cost after she has already done this hair before and to charge more based on a ten minute trim, and then charge for a cut after it was discussed is a little bit crummy. Please make sure you know ahead of time exactly what your in for.....don't get me wrong she is really good just make sure you get the $ clear ahead of time.....oh and she tried to refer us to a "Cheaper Stylist"....that ain't it girl!

I am just getting ready to go to my 3rd appointment with the owner of the salon--Theresa!! She is awesome and very professional. I have been to many stylists in my day, and Theresa is the only one who has known just how to work with curly hair and let it be curly. Most stylists want to try to "work" their "magic " on it which usually means straightening, and using alot of product on it. So refreshing to have a stylist go with what the good Lord gave me.

I visited Studio 150 in March because I needed a new salon after moving to Kirkland from California. I chose Teresa after all the rave reviews on City Search, particularly how she works with your face shape, and I have a very narrow face and wavy hair. I got a partial foil + color and I loved the color and found her to be very professional. We consulted on the cut and styling and I had her style it (poker) straight - something very new. I went home and my husband did not like it at all. The next day when I styled it my "normal" way the cut was good and I was okay with it. Although I think Teresa is a good stylist I was very surprised when I went to pay and the tab was $240! OMG! (Even more so when she told me she only did a partial foil and not a full foil) I'm used to paying $140-$160 for my cut/color. As I am in the salon every 6-8 weeks for a color/cut I feel the price is too expensive and will not be going back. I'm sure there are just as many other great salons out there without the high ticket price.

I have known Teresa for over 20+ years and she has been coloring my hair for that long. My hair, which is black, always looks natural and shiny, never flat. Most of my friends/family don't even know that my hair has been colored for so long. I have followed Teresa from the Pine Lake Plateau, to Issaquah, and onto Kirkland. I now live in Anacortes and still make it a point to drive down to Kirkland, for the best color! Teresa and her team are professional and classy - with customer satisfaction as their goal.

Her hair coloring skills are top notch and I'm continually impressed at the investment she makes in her crew with continuing education on coloring/cutting to keep current.

I have been going to Studio 150 for about 5 years. I am not a person who spends much time styling my hair, I appreciate the attention to my needs to create a style that works for me everyday. It is not just a haircut it is a fun, friendly, and relaxing experiance. I would not go anywhere else.

I've been going here for almost a year. Initially there was a lot of turnover and I went through 3 stylists in a short period, however it seems to have stabilized. I am a client of Acacia and she is wonderful to work with. She understands my personality and translates that into some funky short hair styles while encouraging me to think about other changes down the road (ie bolder highlights etc) without being pushy. She, and all the staff, are very personable, always have fresh coffee ready and are very client centered. I would recommend this salon for anyone in the Kirkland area. They also sell great purses and jewellery.

I've been looking for a new stylist for a while now and I think I have finally found the perfect stylist in Sunny at Studio 150! She is super friendly and listened to what I wanted, then gave me a great cut with some of the best highlights I've ever gotten. The last cut I had kind of hacked my hair apart and Sunny totally fixed it. My highlights are super natural looking and brighten up my face really well, she got the shade exactly right.
I paid more than I usually would (I admit that I'm kinda cheap) for a cut and partial foil, but maybe you just get what you pay for because my hair looks gorgeous :)
The salon feels really high end and relaxing, I had a great experience and I will be back!

I have now had three haircuts with Kaitlinn, and each time I leave happier than the time before. When I first went to Kaitlinn, I was apprehensive because I have had some extremely bad haircuts in the past? it seems that many stylist don?t understand symmetry! Kaitlinn?s talent and thoughtful approach is unmatched by most. She takes the time to consult before each haircut and never makes you feel rushed. She listens to the client, but also offers her expert opinions. Furthermore, Kaitlinn checks in throughout the appointment to make sure we are both still on the same page. Kaitlinn is by far the best stylist I have had in years. As a bonus, Studio 150 as a whole is a very cute, very clean boutique? not snobby in the least. I always feel extremely comfortable while I?m there. I highly recommend Kaitlinn and Studio 150!

I have been going to Sunny for about 8 months now and could not be happier with my experience and with how great my hair looks. After living in the Seattle area for some time and trying out a few salons, I was always disappointed and would end up traveling back to my old hometown salon for a haircut. I'm so excited to finally have a stylist who not only gives a great haircut, but is located near me!

I also highly recommend stopping in for the cute jewelry and handbags. I rarely leave the salon without a new accessory.

I have been going to Kaitlinn for close to a year and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great colorist and stylist. I had been going to a Seattle school for highlights and cuts since 2005 and was frustrated with feeeding the meter with foils on my head and spending over four hours for some foils and a cut. I always left slightly disappointed with the final product although the price was right......now I know the meaning of "you get what you pay for". My first visit with Kaitlinn was amazing. We spent a good twenty minutes talking about what my expectations were for my hair. Initially, I thought "why is this taking so long" ? But I soon discovered that what I described in words was not necessarily what I really wanted. Kaitlinn really did understand!!! She would not start mixing color until she knew what I wanted. I left there with the EXACT haircolor and cut that I wanted. The best part was that I only spent two hours in the salon. To top it off, both my husband and daughter commented on both the color and cut which they never have in the past. I now take my daughter to Kaitlinn and my husband will be going soon. I trust her implicitly. Studio 150 is a fun place to go. They have some great handbags, jewelry and everyone who works there is truly professional. You should give it a try......and ask for Kaitlinn!

Sunny gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. It was like going on one of the makeover programs. I came in with the typical Seattle long straight hair and left with a fabulous style.

The shop is really great - fun location in Kirkland. Staff is really friendly - not at all pretentious.

And the prices are SO reasonable. What more could you want?

I completely trust the stylists at Studio 150 with my hair. I NEVER leave the salon dissapointed. They actually take time to listen to what you really want, and they are so nice and friendly! Kaitlinn does my hair, and she is amazing! So skilled, and completely honest with me about what will look best for me and what products I should use on my hair. I am a loyal customer, would never go anywhere else!

Teresa has been coloring and cutting my hair for 13 years and she has been cutting my five-year-old daughter's hair since she was born. I am a redhead with coarse difficult to style hair. Studio 150 is the only place that I trust to get my color just right and to make my challenging hair look great!

After several unfortunate experiences at both high-end and low-end salons, I found Studio 150 and Teresa (the owner) on the Internet. I was hesitant, but knew what I wanted, and Teresa totally did as I asked, even when she wasn't sure how it would turn out. Since that day 2 years ago, I have recommended her and her shop to everyone I know. The place is clean, the people are kind and professional, and they seem to really care that you get what will work for you by taking the time to talk to you and learn your likes and dislikes, etc. Be sure to say that Ruthe told you about them, so you can get the 1st-time visit special! :) You won't regret trying this place!

The team at Studio 150 Salon are the best - not only in terms of service, but in terms of friendliness, cleanliness and the overall atmosphere.

Teresa and her team have earned our business, and they continue to do so every time my wife & I visit. It's been an added bonus to have them located in Downtown Kirkland, as we can get everything done with one stop.

One other note to mention, In the four years we've been doing business here, I've only seen one stylist leave.

If you are new to the area, or simply looking for a new salon, you should give Studio150 a try.

I would highly recommend Studio 150 for the best hand picked stylist with up to date training. It is a very friendly yet professional atmosphere. Beautiful salon, convenient location with high quality products and accessories. My granddaughter and I make a trip to Studio 150 as one of our special outings. We both are very happy with our haircuts. They take their time to make sure you are happy and satisfied with the end result. Plus, free parking is available behind the building with a pass!

Upon moving to the Puget Sound area, my first priority was to find a top-notch hair salon. One of my co-workers recommended Studio 150 in Kirkland, and specifically, Theresa the owner. That was two years ago and I am still a happy customer. The salon is easy to find, and more importantly Theresa and her stylists are AMAZING. I have the most challenging hair -- very fine and difficult to style. I get compliments constantly on the color and the cut. Theresa is a miracle-worker. And their prices are reasonable. They also sell great jewerly and hand-bags. I HIGHLY recommend this salon!

Finest salon I have found in Seattle or Kirkland. Service is impecable. Friendly, helpful staff in an A+ setting. Everything addresses the most current colour and hair styles. Browse the reasonable jewelry and purses. Plan on having a great time whether you come for service or just a consultation.

I had a great experience at this salon, located downtown Kirkland on the Boulevard I recieved great service and a great haircut, being a guy it isn't real difficult to buzz or clipper my hair but the gal who did it was great so I told my girlfriend she needs to go there because she has difficult color and she is picky. From my experience Teresa, (owner) will take good care of her. I also bought some Redken shampoo which was priced competitively. It was really nice just being able to walk in and be treated well by the whole staff. I will be a returning customer.

I have been going to see stylist Kaitlinn Emerson for the last 8 months. She is wonderful! She is the best colorist I have ever been to. I feel completely confident in her suggestions and feel very comfortable in the smaller sized salon. You MUST see Kaitlinn if your color needs updating, if you need some suggestions of how to make your color pop more, or just because she's the best and you will never regret having made an appointment there!

There is no doubt in my mind that anyone will be happy with the service, skill and attitude of the staff at Studio 150. I have Teresa, the owner do my hair. I've seen some terrific color, cut and style from all of the professonals at this salon. I've had short, very short, dark, frosted, etc and always been happy with the results. This group is fun, love their work, are true professionals and do a fabulous job at their chosen profession. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy and satisfied with your hair. The best colorist I've ever been too. I've been to plenty!

I've been going to Studio 150 for several years. At first I was not sure I wanted to spend the money for a high-priced salon. I am so glad I did. Teresa, the owner, and her hand-picked stylists are constantly getting updated training and stay on top of new products. They give excellent advice not only on cuts but treatments, and I totally trust them for color expertise. I never want to look as though my hair isn't 100% natural. But if you want something funky - they'll have fun with you and make you look terrific. They have excellent products, fun handbags and jewelry, and they have parking behind. This is critical as Kirkland has decent off-street parking but it's only 2-hours and at lunch and dinner it can get hard to find a spot. They also have lots on incentive programs and a free color after 10 (I think. I've lost track). Anyway, If you say I sent you, I'm sure Teresa will give you a first-timer's special! ~CarolineBK

I randomly walked in here one day, and pleasantly discovered a place I could get my haircut without having to think about it. I can completely trust the stylists there to do a great job. The staff is lively and fun, and it's always a pleasant visit every few weeks.

Teresa (the owner) has cut and colored my hair for about 15 months now. She was recommended to me by my most stylish friend, and I'm very glad I followed her recommendation. Now I happily make the trip to Kirkland (from Seattle) every 6 weeks or so to get a cut, as well as a foil for highlights every few months. Teresa is a true professional who knows her craft/art very well (she also takes professional development very seriously and regularly attends trainings and workshops to learn new tricks of the trade.) I usually have just a vague idea of what I want my hair to look like, and then leave the rest up to her as I know I'm in expert hands. She has great suggestions and even helped me through the process of growing out my hair - it looked good at every stage, so for the first time in many years I actually stuck with it. I highly recommend Teresa!

I had the most wonderful experience today at Studio 150! I had Acacia do my hair color. She knew I was nervous over past "mistakes" and she was so confident and yet asked all kinds of questions along the way to make sure she heard what I was looking for. Well....my color is the best ever and blonde highlights are tough to get right! She understood skin tone, balance and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! Proof is in the pudding my son and his girlfriend walked in to dinner tonight and their first words were, "wow you look fabulous! Love your hair!" Seriously my son and his girlfriend said "this is the best you have ever had, it is HOT!" Thanks Acacia...my kids don't lie and I have not had that kind of reaction in years from them!

Kaitlinn has been styling my hair for just under a year, and I couldn't be happier. Prior to going to Studio 150, I had my hair done at a number of high end salons on the East Side, and I was never totally satisfied. High staff turnover, inconsistent work, stylists who don't listen when you tell them what you want, prices disproportionate to quality. None of those problems exist at Studio 150. On my first visit, Kaitlinn asked what I wanted, and we discussed it in detail. Then she executed it perfectly. On every subsequent visit, she's made sure I'm happy with the work she's doing, and she ALWAYS gets it just right. Kaitlinn, Teresa and everyone else are always super friendly and make me feel at home.

In short, Studio 150 is the salon I've been looking for ever since I moved to the East Side. I love them!!!

I have been going to Studio 150 for many years. I have the finest, thin hair around! Not only did Teresa determine the right cut for my hair type, she suggested a full foil to give my hair more body. The color looks wonderfully natural and did make my fine hair look fuller. Teresa does haircuts and coloring - a real plus for me. I don't have to make appointments with two different people to get the same services. I highly recommend Studio 150 to anyone who wants a hair stylist who listens, provides great customer service and delivers excellent haircuts (and foils) time after time.

For three years my friends were urging me to get a hair color to hide my gray hair. I like to stay as natural as I can, do not wear any make up, wash my hair and go in the morning, never dry it up... so I had a hard time making the decision, to have my hair colored. 9 month ago I made an appointment with Studio 150, the stylist listened carefully to what I wanted, and the color was just perfect. It took everybody even my kids at leats 2 days to realized I had had a color as it was so close to my natural color, which was what I wanted.
I have been to different salons in the eastside even highly rated ones and none of them offered the quality of service I get at Studio 150.
The salon is not too big, with a lot of natural light, the stylists are great, friendly and they all know what they are doing.

Teresa has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. She always has great ideas for new styles if I'm feeling the need for a change and I get compliments all the time. I have very curly hair and Teresa has recommended terrific products from the Redken line for me from shampoos to styling products to make the most of my curls while keeping them from getting frizzy. The atmosphere of the salon is modern and relaxing. Having products such as Curls Rock and knowing how to use them is great!

I saw Teresa after another colorist had horribly colored and damaged my hair. She not only corrected the color but suggested a long-term plan to correct the damage. All of Studio 150's stylists are friendly and attentive, taking the time to listen to clients and understand their needs before beginning any service. The atmosphere is great and the salon carries a great selection of hair care and styling products, purses and jewelry. By far the best salon in Kirkland!

Kaitlinn has been coloring my hair for the past 8 months or so and I couldnt be any happier with the resuls. I have been coloring my hair since I was twelve and jumped around from salon to salon, never really finding a place I loved. I was told from a friend that Studio 150 specialized in hair color so I went into see Kaitlinn and wont ever go anywhere else. Kaitlinn is sooo friendly and really takes the time to understand what I want. The first time I went to see her, I told her to just do what she would think I would like and what she thought she would look the best. She made sure to explain to me what she was doing, and it made me feel calm during the process. The results were amazing, and have been ever since. I never have had as many compliments on my hair in the past as I have had with Kaitlinn. She is the only hair dresser I have gone to that has treated me like a friend rather than a client.

Since I live in Kirkland, I decided to walk in Studio 150 to schedule an appointment. I met Teresa and she was so welcoming and friendly. We spent about 20 minutes talking about how much the humidity was wreaking havoc on my hair. Teresa recommended a great product and I scheduled an appointment for highlights.

My appointment for highlights was with Ellie and she was so patient a great listener. We spend time looking through magazines and really figuring out what color I was going for. Since I was becoming a new and improved me (blonde to a vixen brunette), I wanted to make sure I would love my color. Teresa also spent time looking at pictures with me. I could not believe what AWESOME customer service I received.

To make a long story short, my new darker look turned out great! Teresa took the time to get to know me and Ellie made sure I really loved my new look.

This is the first time in a long time where I received such top notch customer service. I think my appointment was worth every penny and I even recommended my roommate schedule an appointment at Studio 150. She is actually going tomorrow for a haircut!
