Ratings_icons Thank you Shannon

My dog is 8 and has been dog aggressive for 7 years. When it started I didn't know how to handle it, I took him to training. Didn't work. In fact, I took him to 5 different trainers, none of them were able to help me get my dog to behave. I had given up on ever having a well-behaved dog.

Then I moved to Battle Ground and had to board my dog while going out of town and found Man's Best Friend. Their facility is impressive and the dogs are well cared for. After the second time I boarded my dog I met the owner, Shannon, I was so impressed with her that when I got a second dog, I decided to go to her for help with the first and his aggression.

I had a couple private lessons with Shannon and after just the first my dog stopped pulling at his leash on walks. After the second, he stopped barking at our second dog and lay calmly while we walked the other dog nearby. I just picked him up from a two week training and he will now come when called off leash and is much calmer. I finally have hopes that the dog I wanted is possible. I know it is still a work in progress - I have bad habits to change (my own not the dog's), but working with Shannon has given me a whole new perspective on what I can expect from him.

I can't thank Shannon enough for all her hard work. How wonderful it would be if there were more dog trainers like her out there, it would have been great for me to get the help I needed years ago.

Ratings_icons Coco loves the place

We leave the area quite a bit and I have tried other places & teens have been to my house to take care of Coco. Coco always gets treated well at Man's Best Friend. You can also have your dog groomed right before you pick up your pet. I've seen my dog playing with other dogs and he loves that. They are very flexible about if your late a day or two. My mind is at ease when they take care of Coco.

Ratings_icons Happy Happy Dog Owner!!!!

Has your dog ever decided to run off or chase after a car or another dog? Ours had until we had him trained at Man's Best Friend Boarding and Training Kennel in Battle Ground Wash. After 3 weeks of training we not only have a dog who will turn on a dime and come back when call but will stay in a down position until we tell him break... that is wonderful when you have people come to the door or visitors come in... our dog doesn't jump on them. I am a happy happy dog owner.

I brought my two Westies here for training. I couldn't let one of the dogs outside without being on leash. Cooper would just take off - and totally ignore me when I called him. The neighbors did NOT appreciate him at their house. Even though he is the cutest dog ever... Anyways, after training at Mans Best Friend, Cooper now stays near me - and definitely comes when I call him. It is wonderful to walk around the neighborhood with him off leash. It is fabulous. I highly recommend getting your dog trained. And don't be put off by all the photos of german shepards on their website and such - they work with small dogs too - like Westies.
