two computers in for service to Computer Works. 1st one a HP laptop with a smashed screen. Best Buy wouldn't repair it. Office Depot wouldn't repair it. They both just wanted me to replace it with a new laptop. Sorry but I can't afford to just throw it away and get new when I accidently bumped my laptop bag into a desk corner and broke it. Computer Works repaired (replaced) the screen for a reasonable price ($200 or so) which was a lot cheaper then replacing the computer. 2nd computer was my tower that ran out of hard disk space. I bought a new 2 terabyte hard drive and they cloned the old hard drive to it for a 1/2 hour charge that was about $35. You can't get better service than that. I didn't even buy the hard drive from them! A1 company with integrity. I will go back again to have them build me a computer soon. This one gets converted to a media computer on the tv, when I can afford it.

Weird... I read these reviews and they are so different from my own experience. I had two of my laptops break down, one... they said could be fixed and would be ready to go soon. Cost me 150.00 for the cooling fan issue and they gave me an

In my opinion you should only use a computer store that values their customers time and performs the work that they were paid to perform.
When I 1st went in I was told that it would be 4-5 business days before they could look at my two

We see, by virtue of the fact that you are posting on every site you can, that your new computer is functioning exactly as it should. You are welcome.

The management of Computer Works would like, again, to extend our sincere apology that your custom-built computer had an manufacturer's hardware defect: an incompatibility between a particular Intel processor and a certain MSI mainboard, which was not listed by either manufacturer. Unfortunately, hardware defects are unavoidable, and we were glad to remedy the situation, as provided for in our warranty. Our warranty and store policies are stated clearly at each POS in bold, colorful lettering, as well as on each receipt.

As you are well aware, you actually visited our store twice; not "numerous" times. The first time, we replaced the mainboard and card reader, and the machine tested stable in the shop. Upon your second visit to the store, through rigorous troubleshooting, we discovered the hardware compatibility issue. We replaced the computer with a completely new machine, with no compatibility issue, as well as a faster processor. Your compensation is this: a fast, functioning, reliable custom-built computer; which is guaranteed by a long-standing local company that honors its policies.

We appreciate your decision not to come back, as your behavior (which your husband apologized for) frightened other customers and was abusive toward our staff. We have taken the time to archive our surveillance footage, should the need to use it arise.

I had a horrible experience at Computer Works. I will never go back. I don't reccomend this store to anyone. If you want to buy a new computer go ANY where else. They have a horrible in store policy, NO REFUNDS on custom computers, by the way that is the only kind of computer they sell to my knowledge. So, you are at their mercy...when you have lost total faith in them and their product, you are FORCED into having to deal with them. I had to go into the store three times to get my NEW computer before they could get it to work. NO COMPENSATION. A week after I paid $900 I finally got a computer that worked. I am sure I over paid for a cheap piece of crap. A couple really obnoxious staff as well.

The Truth!

The 10X service is only 64K up and Down. That??s not 10 times faster than dial up for $29 a month? I got the 20 on the 20X that??s only 128K and 64K up What a Joke for $39/Mo that??s Crazy! And the best of all for you folks in lower valley? 256k for $59/MO can you pore people say ISDN? WHAT A JOKE! Don??t fall for number games get the facts. Just ask the Computer Works people to explain this! When you ask them the speed! You will get a 15min BS rendition about how it??s really faster than DSL and Dialup and Cable and Clear wire..... Reality check! Don??t be fooled! I am pretty sure that a 768/384 DSL circuit is faster than 256k/128 high loss 802.11B Wireless! Give me a break people!
