I love German games. Uncle's has the largest selection of German games in the state of Washington. They also carry all the popular collectible card games, tons of puzzles, and of course every board game imaginable. I love the ability to come in and try out games at their tables in the store.

My young son loves to come in here when we go to Redmond Town Center. They have games for all ages. He gravitates toward the back corner where they have things like CandyLand and Chutes and Ladders. He always visits the rack where they have the invisible ink coloring books. The sales staff is friendly and accommodate the young ones. I do miss the KB Toys that was in this location, but this is a good alternative. After all, not much in here requires batteries!

This store is so much fun to look around. They have a wonderful selection of all kinds of games. The employees are friendly. My kids are too young to play most of the games that they carry, and I can't wait until they are old enough. Then the shopping will begin!

Okay, I'm a geek! I have played D&D and other Role Playing Games my entire life. When I came to Seattle, there were plenty of little hole in the wall stores that sold comics, games, books, etc. to the geeky gamers crowd. Wizard's of the Coast opened up stores in every mall and the little guys all went out of business. When Hasbro bought WotC, they closed the stores, leaving me and the rest of the geeks high and dry, or paying huge amounts for shipping from online stores.
Thankfully, a few stores are coming back. Uncle's is the first and best so far. They are located in Redmond Town Center, one of the nicer malls around. The store is bright and clean - more like a Wizard's store than the low-end geek haunts I used to frequent. If you used to love "Games and Gizmos" - this is your store.
Don't panic! Uncle's does have a selection of role playing games, board games and dice. But, they also have chess sets, toys and family and educational games you won't find at Toys-R-Us. This is a thinking person's toy store. It's cheerful, has a great, friendly staff and it's kid friendly.
In short, I was impressed. I'm glad this type of store is returning. Here's hoping for more!
PROS: Clean, friendly, great service, family oriented.
CONS: What? No goth chicks in chain mail? :)

So much to choose from!

This place rocks. Sooo many games.
The employees are very friendly and yes...gamers.
But they have Game Night on Fridays! I haven't been yet, but sounds like a cool idea for a small group of friends!

Good help

I had never been in a game store before, but this one is actually fun to just go in. The people that work there are so friendly and you can tell they love to play games. We went in looking for a fun, two player game. They had some recommendations and they even let us try one and taught us how to play. We came back on Game night, played some more games and bought the one they taught us how to play. It's a fun place to hang out if you like playing games.
Pros: Friendly staff, knowledgeable, fun environment, have free game nights with free Wetzel pretzels on Friday nights
Cons: Right in front of the playground so my child always leaves the store-- not their fault though
