This is a store that really cares about animals. It is always fun to go in and see what toys are available, and especially to check out whatever kittens they have (sorry they have them, but I love kittens). The have a good stock of pet support products and are the type of store you want to support.

I love this place. It's the way the owner handles the cats. I can tell she isn't squeamish with them at all. The way she pulled the wax out of my kitty's ear and went into her mouth without a thought and scrapped the tartar off her teeth with her finger nails. I would like to be that bold one day. All I wanted to know was why my kitty scratches her ears so much. Wow! That what I call service. All at no charge. I did get her shampooed since I was there and I promised to buy the mineral oil for my kitty's ear mites that she recommended.

I've had many people claim that all Class B Dealers sell animals for research. This company IS listed as having a Class B dealer license in the state of WA (Customer No. 7096 & Certificate No. 91-B-0068) on lcanimal.org and other sites. This license does entitle them to sell animals for research but does not mean that they are or are not doing so.

This pet supply store is also a no terminate life cat shelter. The owner participates in a foster care system for cats. So profits from the store help to save cat's lives. Consider adopting an older or special needs cat. They still make great pets. The store also sells the usual supplies for all pets, and sells fish, and rodents, also does pet grooming. Things can get busy there at times so there can be a bit of wait for service but remember you are supporting a good cause. Sorry for the strange wording of this review but the review screener would not let me use words that make more sense. They really need to fix that.

In September of 2006, I bough two 5 month old kittens from this pet store / pet supply store. The staff is friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make their customers happy. My cats are beautiful and I was able to get them at a great price, with free neutering, free microchipping, free shots, and a free vet visit to boot! Highly recommend Animal Talk, the products and prices are great, and the service is outstanding.

Pros: Friendly staff, great selection, good prices... these people really love animals.

Cons: Street parking can be inconvenient, but you can generally find a spot fairly easily.
