I love love love this restaurant!! The wait staff are friendly and make you feel at home rigth away. My favorite meal there is breakfast. You cannot beat the weekend special of ham and eggs and the blueberry pancakes are so yummy! The portions are generous. I can't eat everything that is on my plan (even thou I try!) You have to try this restaurant, locally owned, family ran and just one of those old fashion, fun to be at restaurants!!

Anglea's is one of the best older restaurants around. It has been in business for ever. The owner is a nice guy and the staff is very efficient and friendly. The food is great, especially the breakfasts and the milkshakes are the real deal! Their chicken and Joe's are very good also. Good place to eat, I would recommend this restaurant.

This little resturant on Portland Ave has by far the best chicken in the Tacoma area. Go by there and order a 20 chicken with Jo Jo's and you will not be disappointed.

We stopped in there after a day of shopping and was very surprised. It is like going back in time to the mom and pop dinner. The servings are more than generous, the prices and service is great. They give you hometown relaxed eating experience.

Far from "just" catering, Anglea's is that classic neighborhood institution, the comfort-food diner where locals are known and cheerfully greeted, the favorite dishes are enshrined in a long-loved menu, and the pies are handmade by a small team of experts to top it all off appropriately. The fried chicken and jo-jos are justly favorites, the portions are generally extravagant, and there's an air of old-school thoughtfulness permeating the joint. We go back regularly because of the people and the simple old-fashioned tasty food at excellent prices. Don't forget to indulge in a 50s-style Green River poured up to order and swimming in nuclear-green syrup.

Ate there recently and it made me really sick. Maybe I'm just unlucky but I certainly won't be going back to this place, especially after they blew me off about it.

Pros: Large portions of chicken for cheap.

Cons: As the portions won't stay in your stomach anyway, it hardly matters how large they are.
