Dill Animal Hospital

They have helped us for over 5 years with our dogs, cat and bunny. They are truly the best around and I know people who will drive 30 mins to see Dr. Dill and his staff.

We purchased a kitten from wildside pet store and had a free exam to Dr. Dill. This kitten was constantly leaking fecal matter and was obviously sick, however Dr. Dill said the kitten just had a cold and gave him antibiotics. We checked with other vets and symptoms pointed to a parasite. How could this Dr. not see what is happening to this kitten? More money do you think?

Having moved to the Milton area within the last year, I had the task of finding a new vet for my two dogs. Like most pet owners, my animals mean the world to me which means I'm always seeking the most talented and capable caregivers. I've definitely found that in Dr. Dill and his staff. I tried two other animal hospitals prior to visiting Dr. Dill. Both places were unkempt and poor at customer service. Dr. Dill and his staff, on the other hand, are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and caring. My dogs have been vaccinated there, and have also received minor surgery. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and the results have always been fantastic. The wonderful personalities at this office always make me leave with a smile. I wish I could find a human doctor's office with as much class and compassion!

I've had three cats spayed at Dr. Dill's and he helped with an emergency situation with a new litter of purebred toy dogs. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the doctor goes above and beyond -- he was willing to examine my newborn pups in the car when I didn't want to bring them into the office. I also like the way he explains things in depth and isn't condescending.

Just recently we had to take our 8 year old boxer into his office on an emergency situation after he collapsed that morning - Dr Dill came out to the car to look at "Jax" because the dog would not get out - he was so weak and my 2 young kids and I were in a horrible frame of mind after dealing with this situation for 3 hours. Dr Dill explained to us his honest opinion about the situation at hand and he and I carried that dog into his office and of course we made that horrible situation to put our dog to sleep - but, I knew that Dr Dill was honest and that my dog was in good hands. Just about a year prior he helped my mom with her 15 year old cat and we had been there with her to support her as she put her cat down. So we knew that Dr Dill was the man for us. His office staff sent us a sympathy card to my moms house and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness in him and his staff.

Dont fret about taking your pets to him.

I tried Dr. Dill after the Edgwood Veterinary Hospital misdiagnosed and caused the death of one of my young cats.

Dr. Dill continues to be absolutely wonderful with all of the cats and Border Collies that I have brought to him through the last few years. He and his staff are expert and efficient. I operate a small farm in the area and Dr. Dill helped me over the phone with an infected hoof on my Boar-cross goat without having to make a farm visit.

I went to Dr. Dill's office for a 'second opinion' on my 7 year old Pomeranian.

She was 'MISDIAGNOSED' with Congestive Heart Failure by: Dr. 'Eberhart of Edgewood Veterinary'.

She is healthy! Her cough stems from a collapsing trachea NOT CHF!!

I highly recommend this wonderful doctor and his very caring staff to EVERYONE! He and his staff are incredible!

Dr. Dill kept our cat calm and she is normally really scared at the vet after her past issues at her old vet and being really sick/hooked up to IVs.

His staff has been really great about everything from communication, being available on the phone, calling back (within minutes), to financial stuff.

I appreciate that they don't treat me like an idiot when I describe my cats symptoms, etc.

Dr. Dill's office also makes me feel really comfortable. I've been places where my cat escaped and others where there were not doors between rooms. His clinic is very secure and they respected my "worry" from previous experiences. Plus, the doors and wall of the exam room have glass windows so we can see the hallway and what is going on outside (good distraction for the animals!).

I have also not had to wait the 2 times I have been.

And for something that didn't really require the cat to be physically seen, I appreciated not having to pack her up in the car and bring her down to pick something up for her.

Both my cats are now going to Dr. Dill! I couldn't be happier and now don't DREAD calling or going to the vet now like I used to.

My cat had a urinary tract infection and was quite miserable. I'm in Georgia currently, but my wife is back in Washington at home. She was taking our cat to another vet as an emergency prior to her appointment, but after seeing Dr. Dill's ratings on here I had her turn around and see Dr. Dill.

She told me he was EVERYTHING everyone on this site said about him. He took us as an emergency case despite that we where a first time "patient". He was very explanatory, and very gentle. She said seeing him was more like seeing a "country vet" that cares more for each animal than a busy "city vet" would. It was obvious his life is dedicated to animals, and each and every one is special and deserves its own time.

As a side note, he perceives himself as a little vet clinic, and was surprised to find out that he has a 5 star rating and people have said good things about him online. And that he was recommended by me here in Georgia after reading everyone's comments. THANK YOU everyone, he was everything that everyone said, and more. There is no vet we'd rather take our pets to now. THANK YOU!

Dr. Dill is by far the best veterinarian I know. He and his excellent staff have gently and professionally cared for both my dogs and cats for many years. Dr. Dill is a hands on vet. He has the technology and uses it when appropriate but can often tell as much or more by simply handling my animals. I have followed Dr. Dill's practice all over Pierce County in the last twenty years and will continue to do so.

This has to be one of the best Veterinarians I have ever used. Dr. Dill is so easy to talk to and understand. He takes his time with us and explains everything clearly. I have a lab that is very nervous and growls alot when he is scared, so I was worried about taking him to the vet. His previous vet experience wasn't very good. They had to muzzle him and he growled at everyone in the office. But when we went to Dill Animal Hospital he didn't growl once. The doctor was very soft-spoken, and worked with my dogs very delicately. Anyone who has had problems finding a good vet should try Dr. Dill. I drive in from Tacoma to see him!

PROS: Gentle, and very knowledgable
CONS: Location....it's a bit far from where I live but worth the drive!
