My Mother-in-law makes a special trip on her way to Eugene  5 Star Rating - World class

By Sally R. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,801

She loves their yogurt so much that she goes from North Seattle all the way to Queen Anne on the way to Eugene just to get a hit of the yogurt and coffee. The yogurt is non-fat and icey. She loves the coffee and thinks it is not bitter at all. We take the kids there and they all get special treats and the service is fabulous.

Home of the velvet foam  5 Star Rating - World class

By Red f. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,952

"Home of the velvet foam" is the slogan of Uptown Espresso and this is a saying that doesn't just pay lip service. The coffee and steamed milk in the espresso drinks at uptown are, bar none, among the world's finnest.

When I travel away from home, besides my family, I miss Uptown Espresso the most. They have the most knowledgeable baristas, best coffee and best technique in the US.

Do not pass up your opportunity to go to Uptown and enjoy some of their fine drinks.

PROS: Best baristas, truly world class; Great technique; Great Coffee
CONS: Not enough locations but it's understandable for a small business.

Great place  5 Star Rating - World class

By Gar L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,399

I love to go to Uptown Espresso to study and read. Very good atmostphere and in a quiet enviornment. The people that work there are friendly and the coffee tastes great. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to starbucks. The coffeeshop offers a nostalgic enviornment and well decorated interior. A+
