HORRIBLE customer service.. Purchased a high end sofa November 2011, called to share problems, already with the sofa. They were to replace after the holidays .. Numerous telephone calls to them, and getting bullied, I still do NOT have a sofa, or a refund. and its MAY 2012. As they stated they do NOT give refunds... I have been dealing with them regularly each week and the buck keeps getting passed, and the owners will NOT return calls.. Its to the point Im going to file a lawsuit, for all the emotional upset, holidays lost with no way to entertain, and the price of the sofa

We bought a sofa there a while back and just recently needed a few new springs put on since the sofa is still under warranty. Their "fix it" guy Ted is close to impossible to get in touch with. I finally spoke with him after leaving 3 messages and finally calling a 4th time. He said he'd try to find my invoice (even though the office staff said they already gave it to him) and call me back. He NEVER called. After waiting a day, I had to leave another message. It has been over a month now and we still have not heard from Ted, and still have a broken sofa.

I am very disappointed in Phyl's Furniture. We have bought a few items there in years past and didn't have a problem. But this is what happened the last time. We ordered a "special order" because they did not have the complete set of what we wanted in the store.
We put money down and were to pay remainder when delivered. Then they called us back a few days later and said, "the company you ordered from is going out of business and we can't get what you want". We said okay. They then called us back and said, oh guess what, "change of plans", they can do your order after all. Okay, we said, in that case, can we also order a love seat? They said "no", they do not have love seats that match your sofa and chairs. Then we wanted to cancel our order as we needed a love seat that "matched". Phyl's said, "no, it's too late to cancel your order", because it's a special order, we cannot cancel.
Then it took them 3 months to deliver. As we had already found something we really wanted and ordered it, but had to take delivery anyway, we thought we would just sell the furniture we ordered from Phyll's. We left it covered in the delivery carton and plastic cover (you could see the sofa through the plastic very well) because we thought that way when we sold it, the buyers could move it without getting it wet or having to recover it.
When we did sell the furniture (actually we gave it to our kids), they hauled it to their home and guess what they discovered when they took it out of the protective covering - The chairs were completely different colored then the sofa and ottoman! Then I called Phyl's thinking they would surely make it right. We had pictures of furniture and tags. They said, "no, we can't do anything for you, you have 24 hours to report any problems, if you don't within that time - we cannot do anything. So my warning to you is "Don't do business with Phyl's Furniture as they do not truly care about their customers and try to do the right thing and they do not have integrity." As long as you order what you want and don't have any changes or problems with it, I guess you might be okay, but if you have any concerns then good luck! Because you will need it

On the other hand, the WoodShed in Lacey is AWESOME! Go there!!! They will treat you right

ordered a couple of pieces of furniture. They did not deliver on day they said they would when they did final deliver, one of the pieces was the wrong one. They were suppose to have reordered the correct one but called me a week later and waited to know if I wanted the one I didn't order. I said no. So they called to delivered a second time but still with the wrong piece of furniture. What a mess. Their sales people are not held accountable by store management. Stay far away from this store.

I have shopped in this store a couple times and have found a few good deals over the years. The buisness has been around a long time and has a country store feel to it. The staff is very friendly and there prices are fair. They are easily found if you are from the area and parking is never a problem.
