Pros: take out is fast

Cons: taste good be better

Conveniently located on Bothell Way in Kenmore. Decent food. Can be crowded and somewhat noisy. Make sure you don't get the seat by the door. Maybe next time my visit will be better.

i LOVE this restaurant! The service is fast , prices are VERY reasonable! Can not beat thier lunch special. I have eaten at alot of Chinese food places as well and find this one to be my all time favorite. I LOVE their vegetable chow mien. They are not chatty Cathies but are very fast with their service. To me that is most important when I go to eat somewhere. They are always busy when I go as well. I have lots of friends that love this place too!

Tai-ho USED to be great with good service and wonderful food but unfortunately things have changed.

The prices have gone up while the portions have gone down (pick one but not both). The service is about as surly as you can get. I still love their noodles but no longer take friends there for a night out and mostly dine there by myself as it is not a "fun" dining experience.

I did give it two stars because their lunch specials, starting at $5.50, are a good value and served very quickly so you can get a good, cheap lunch with minimal interaction with the staff. They still draw a decent crowd at lunch time so the food is hot and fresh but like I said I no longer bring my friends here as it just is not a pleasant dining experience for the money, other than lunch.

Okay, I've eaten at tons of Chinese restaurants around Seattle, Kenmore, Renton, Shoreline, Burien, Tukwila, Bothell, and other areas and other states. This restaurant has the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. We ordered the dinner for 7, which came with 4 different dishes of Chicken. The chicken was awful. They all tasted the same...very bland. The soup had zero taste, we had to add pepper, salt, and soy sauce just to make the egg flower soup more flavorful. But the white rice was okay -- who can mess that up?!? We had the mongolian beef, which was bland also. The shrimp dish had a lot of flour cooked with the shrimp, but the veggies were okay. The mushu pork was smothered with veggies, little pork, tons of green onions. If you can avoid this restaurant, do so. The Nu-Lite Chinese restaurant down the street was much much better (with better service). We paid well over $100 for a very disappointing meal. Our party agreed that we should have went to Jack in the Box and spent our $100 there. Sorry, didn't try the noodles like other people.

I agree with the last reviewer, place is no longer as good as it used to be. I tried this place because a friend mentioned she liked their noodles. Being a Chinese restaurant owner in the past, I had to give it a try. I invited a friend to join my family of 4. She arrived a few minutes before us, so she let the hostess/owner know we were going to be 7. The owner gave my friend a rude welcome when she found out we had 4 kids in our group. When I arrived and mentioned we were 7 total, she replied, "I KNOW!" and seated us with an unwelcoming attitude. We ordered 3 entrees to start. Fried Almond Chicken, Beef with asparagus, and mixed noodles. The chicken was bland and tasteless with an okay batter and tasteless brown gravy with tiny crushed almonds on top. I ordered this dish with fried rice for $.50 more. The amount of fried rice was small and forgettable. The mixed noodle dish had very little vegetables and meats. It surprised me when it was served with a heaping side of rice, about half of the plate. I was expecting a plate of only noodles with meat and vegetables as it is normally served in many Chinese restaurants. When I asked the waitress if she would bring me the side of noodles for the extra $1, she looked at me as if I was crazy and said rudely that the side of noodles will cost $3.50 because I didn't order the noodle dish with extra noodles earlier. The beef with asparagus serving was small and it was a bit on the greasy side. The price for the beef dish was higher than the others, $7.95 compared to $5.95 for the chicken and $5.50 for the small size mixed noodles. I ended up ordering another mixed noodle with extra noodles for $1 more since we didn't enjoy the fried almond chicken. The plate of noodles was not much larger than the first one, another disappointment. Willl not come back again.
Pros: Fast service, you can have your soup and entree at the same time. Cons: Portions are smaller, greasier, rude hostess/owner, and unhappy servers.

For so long, me and my boyfriend always ate in the restaraunt.... For the last couple months we've been dining in the bar/lounge side. It is a very casual atmosphere.. There are half price appetizers and unbeatable drink specials. The girls who work back behind the bar are always friendly, make good drinks and keep the bar under control and clean. I recommend it highly!

I had been going to Tai-Ho for almost 15 years, then stopped. My family and I noticed the food has really changed over time and the attitude of the workers since the original owner passed away. Recently we decided to give it another try. We were happy to find that the noodles are still hand pulled but their specialty noodle soup Tai-Ho Noodles has taken a dive. It use to be served with heaping amounts of vegetable, pork, shrimp and "calamari". They have cut back on all of that and have replaced the calamari with imitation crab meat (aka surimi). Be careful if you have allergies to wheat or eggs since imitation crab has these ingredients. (www.hanil-corp.co.kr) My family mentioned to the owner that we prefer the calamari and her response was curt saying, That is how they are making it now. We were hoping she would offer to serve us calamari for a small fee. The abrupt tone of her response confirmed that not only the food has changed but a friendly attitude doesn't exist. I notice the Asian clientele is dwiindling. Their lunch deals are still okay, but the food is greasy. The potstickers taste the same as packaged brands I make at home. Unfortunately, it is the only place in Kenmore along Lake City Way that serves Chinese food.

The staff is attentive and they are ready with Tea and water almost as soon as you are seated.
The lunch menu is extensive and ranges from $5.50 to $7.50
Great Quality as well as quantity, both egg flower soup and hot and sour soup were flavorful
Great tasting Mangolian beef, although a tiny bit salty
I've never seen a chinese restaurant so crowed even at 2pm, in this part of the town and that says something

I have been eating in this place for nearly twenty years, long before the current attractive building was put up. The former place was fairly ratty, and we would often get our food to take out. Now the food and the surroundings are a good match.

I am sure they have many other fine dishes, but I never seem to get past their signature Tai Ho noodles, especially when I go there for lunch. Their noodles are hand made and the same care is put into spicing the broth that accompanies them, which is just a little peppery.

Beer and wine are available, and the place is open until quite late, so it is also a great spot for a late night snack, when you want something good but not too heavy.

Service can be just a little iffy. When it is good, you are lucky; when you aren't so lucky, you can wonder if they remember you are there. To be fair, that has not happened to me often, but quick service is not reliable.

PROS: Very nice noodles, good variety, wine and beer, convenient hours
CONS: Occasionally slow service

It's always a good thing when you can see the cooks making the food. At this restaurant, you can see them making the noodles, which are just about the best noodles I've ever had. This resaurant has been one of my family's favorites for a long time. We've been coming for years because the food is so tasty and the service is quick and excellent! I tell all my friends to try this place out.

For years I have been driving by this restauant daily from work. I finally decided to give it a try. The Hot and Sour soup is excellent. Spiced perfectly. The noodles are the best I have ever had. I especially like the pork chow mein. They are so fresh and so good. You have to try them!!
Inexpensive lunches and great prices overall. The pot stickers, on the otherhand, were too thick of a noodle and I didn't care for the flavor. Huge amount of meat in the mogolian beef lunch but it was dry.

Tai-Ho is well known in the surrounding Bothell-Kenmore-Seattle area not only because how many times they've appeared in the newspapers for they're noodles. But also because the locals love the food, lunch prices, quanity of food and service. They've also recently remodeled the restaurant for more room now only if they had more parking spaces. A+

A few years ago, they got a number of write ups for their homemade noodle (singular as it's served as a single length of noodle) which is particularly good. At that point it was a relatively small old building; after getting quite a bit of business driven by the positive press, they rebuilt the building into a fancy two story restaraunt. I don't think the new building has as much character (it exemplifies every stereotype of a domestic Chinese restaraunt) but I still enjoy their food; also their service is really quite exceptional and they are very prompt.
