As the title suggests, Oysters are the specialty: There are alternative menu items, but the oysters come any way you like; on the half shell, baked, pan fried and steamed mussels, Or prawns, crab, scallops calamari, even abaloni on the dinner menu. Lunch menu more affordable than the dinner menu, but the selection equally good. Watch sunsets over the San Juan Islands while you dine. Very romantic evening.

Even ignoring the view (you're on a cliff looking out over some of the most spectacular scenery in the WORLD), this place is one of the best in the Northwest. The whiskey crab soup was a bit tired the last time we went (better other times), but everything else was perfect. A lot of ingredients, but the ingenious preparations are designed to bring out the flavor of the main ingredient. They don't rely on crutches here--my game dish and my wife's fish dish were so different and yet totally themselves that it was like eating at two different restaurants. And the wine list is one of the best around--hundreds of wines, local, national, international. If you're in Bellingham, make a reservation. BTW: no kids under 11.
