I loved it until... 1 By James R. Than Brothers Restaurant I used to love eating pho, I starting eating it every single week. I thought I was eating a healthy soup. I almost felt like I was addicted to it. Then I started feeling sick and I asked my friend who told me that pho is loaded with MSG. I asked my doctor and he explained that MSG has an addictive effect on the brain, not to mention some very negative effects on the heart and liver. I never eat at Than Brothers anymore. This restaurant looks a little cleaner than the one on University Way. Pho is cheap too! The medium is always sufficient for me, and at under 5 dollars. Special delight? You get a free cream puff! I'm not sure if this restaurant has no msg in their pho. You have to be careful, some of the pho restaurants add a ton of msg. PROS: Awesome pho! Good budget food CONS: Hope it's clean, and no msg?? The food fills you up, is very easy on your wallet, plus they even throw in a delicious custard puff with every meal. If you like soup on a chilly Seattle day, this is the place for you! PROS: Cheap!
