If you are someone who feels your pets are parts of your family I would not take your pet here. They have a few really great employees, and a few that seem pretty out of it. They are very understaffed at pretty much all times, and I know the staff they do have is not well trained. They hit the dogs, do not give them sufficient amounts of water. Dog fights break out constantly. I regret taking my girl here.

Took my pug Oscar to the downtown location (looks like old address on here ) and had my pug stay for a few nights as a last minute family issue came up and I had to leave town, but this was my first time and the staff was great, the facility was even better. I will be brining Oscar here anytime I need to go away.

I have been taking my dogs to Jeanne??s for 2 years now and am extremely happy with their services! I use their daycare 3 day per week and would only leave my little guys with them for boarding. I have tried other boarding facilities in the past but was never happy until I found Jeanne??s! Thank you to the wonderful and helpful staff and to the owners for having such a wonderful place for us to bring our dogs!

On monday I came by Jeanne's and went to te wrong door. There are no signs saying what driveway or door to use till you park and walk up to the door. We walked up to the door and an old gentleman was out in the dogrun and yelled at us can't you read the damn sign it says to use the other door, HOW RUDE. We got in the car and left. I've never been talked to like that from a business, I guess the recession isn't hurting them any, that they can talk to a customer like garbage. So we went to play and stay and was greeted with respect and kindness, but my husband wanted to give jeanne's another chance so we went back to find they are closed between 12: and 2:30, so once again we leave and come back at 2:30. When we walked in we were greeted with a BIG lung full of smoke, I guess the laws don't apply to them about no smoking in business buildings. The lady Misty or clisty was laughing and REAL happy when we came in then we found out she was laughing about a poor little dog that was drunk. Yes drunk, the little fellow got into her white russin she had at lunch and got drunk, she found this to be real funny, the dog couldn't of weighed but 1 and a half pounds. I was so appauled. If I wanted my dog to be watched by rude, drunk caregivers and come home with a hangover and smelling like cigarettes I woul;d take him to my local taveren, and not pay. I don't know about these people but my dog is like my child and to have some one smoking around him and drunk and getting other dogs drunk isn't a day care. Also it was so freezing, there was heat in the office but that was all, when we went in the back for our tour it was so cold the little guys were shivering. I'm just not understanding how they could still be open, who would want to keep their little one at this place.

Don't take your dogs to Jeanne's DDC on Madelia. The big dog handler there hits the dogs, yanks them by their collar and throws the dogs to the ground. Yes, this was witnessed when the handler did not know he was being watched. He has no experience handling dogs, and should not be allowed near them. He should also be fired for animal mistreatment and cruelty.

In addition to this, it was quite surprising to learn that my puppy almost never ate his meals any of his meals (and we feed him natural, organic foods that require refrigeration and a little more work on the part of the humans) and always loses weight, and without fail, comes home dehydrated. He can't wait to run to his water bowl when he gets home.

Jeanne's place never gave us a report on how our puppy was doing either, except that he did "fine" and didn't eat.

We used Jeanne's on Appleway and we were very disappointed with the service/treatment. Jeanne's closes every day from 12-2:30pm with no emergency contact, pager or other way to reach them, so if you need to access or pick up your dog between that timeframe, you're out of luck. This is very inconvenient and irresponsible. It appeared to us that most of the staff (if not all) leave during that time period, so the dogs are unattended. They also require you to place your dog in their doggie daycare for each day of the stay, nearly doubling the daily rate. It cost $150 for 2 dogs for 2 nights. When we picked up our dogs, we were told that they did not finish the first meal they had there, so Jeanne's re-served it to them the next morning. We feed our dogs a "natural" diet consisting of beef, pork, veggies, rice, cereal, etc. The dogs did not finish the re-served meal nor did they eat the next two meals at all. We know it's common for dogs to not eat at first in a kennel, but this amount of missed meals was dangerous, especially for our 11-month old puppy. Jeanne's took no action to encourage our dogs to eat and threw the food away! Jeanne's had a meal for each dog left over as well that they apparently decided not to throw away, but did not feed to our dogs either. Our dogs were also mildly dehydrated. One of our dogs had diarrhea during the stay. His backside was not cleaned, so the mess was matted and stuck to him, and we were not informed that he had diarrhea when we picked him up. He is a small dog, just 18 pounds, so this was also dangerous for him. Jeanne??s gave us no report of the dogs?? activities; just that they ??did fine" and didn't eat. When we returned home, our boys practically inhaled the remaining meal that Jeanne's did not throw away, so there was obviously nothing wrong with their usual food which we provided, and they drank three bowls of water in succession. Our dogs have not responded in this way at other kennels.
