I'm completely unimpressed with this business. I don't know how they stay in business with so many flakey, rude employees. In the past 2 months, I have tried to go on a Sunday and they were closed. What kind of business just doesn't open? It sounds to me like the business owner should be there on Sundays if his employees are too hungover or too sick to actually come to work. I just wanted to go tanning without purchasing a ridiculous membership to any of the other places. I would never reccomend this place to anyone.

Run don't walk from this place!!! Not worth your time and hassle to get over charges corrected. I have been trying for a month now and am still getting the run around and the "I don't really know about that" from the young, inexperienced staff. Have yet to see the Manager that each time I inquire has just left or will be in tomorrow.

On the day I approached ECT for services, there was a new employee serving the front desk. It was her first day and she was clearly poorly trained and overwhelmed by the number of clients waiting for service.

I asked her for details for your company??s online coupons She had NO knowledge as to how to implement this in the computer. As her manager had not informed her of these "specials".

After selling me three medium tans for $81.53, it was realized that I could have gotten one month unlimited medium tans for $54.99. She tried to correct this and sell me the more valuable and practical package but was unable to do so due to the lack of having the correct ??password?. I was then told she would take my information and have a manager call the following day to correct this.

I accepted these terms, one because I had no choice and two because I thought that any business with integrity would respond to a legitimate customer concern.

I waited 20 minutes before being give a bed. I was put in room and was put off immediately. The room appeared unclean. The carpet in front of the machine was dirty, there was only a small chair to place your belongings on other then the floor.

I inspected the bed itself and found fingerprint smudges on the top inside of the bed. I used my towel to wipe the inside of the bed down and there was brown flakes of something that were brushed off from the inside corners (non glass part) of the bed. I turn the bed on and the bulbs had dust on them. Two of the bulbs were flickering. I was so unimpressed that I decided to leave.

I told the staff about my experience and that I wanted to cancel the remaining tans on my account. Again, the lady took my information for the manger to call the next day.
In addition to the above observations,While waiting for a bed in the lobby, I noticed the staff carrying a bottle of Windex around with a towel as she was going back and forth cleaning beds for other patrons. I certainly hope that this is not what she was told to use as ??disinfectant?.

For a week, I called one to two times per day, to follow up on the messages I left. Each and every time I have been given the run around. First, the staff cannot find me in the computer. Second, there is NEVER a manager on duty. Third, I was told my message had been left with the owner who was fixing the bathroom at the West Seattle location and that he would return my call. I called back four hours later and he was now gone. Fourth, I was told to call Sophia at the Issaquah location the following day. I left a message with the front desk the day before asking she call me Thursday. No call came from ECT on Thursday either.

I have since given up on getting any form of acknowledgement from this so-called "business". $81.53 is a lot of money to spend on a 12 minute tanning session that was far less then what I expected quality wise.

I have been using Emerald City Sun for about 18 months. At first they were very good and honored appointments even though they take walk-ins. In the last 6 months there have been a parade of new employess - non of which even appear to be able to spell their own names. Don't bother to make an appointment for a specific type of tanning bed - it appears only the walk-ins are honored. I would no longer recommend the Issaquah location.

I went to the Issaquah location to find out about packages and pricing in the middle of the day on a Sunday. The business was closed even though it was during their hours of operations. I called another location and they told me that the employee scheduled to work didn't show up that day. I went in the following week with on-line coupons that I had printed out that same day only to be told that their Web designer was out of town and wasn't able to update their website but the coupons were "no longer valid". The employee made me wait while she assisted 5 customers that came in after I had. I guess this business is doing so well they can afford to only open when it is convenient, don't need to honor their advertised specials, and don't need to worry about good customer service. Needless to say; I bought tanning services at a different Issaquah salon.

Want to have a used car experience just drop by their new West Seattle location. They'll move you from here to there even when you asked not to be. Rude lewd and obnoxious young woman with very minimal social skills and next to zero business skills. When I complained how she talked to me and that I felt i should be treated with respect she told me to leave the store. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I have run a business in West Seattle for almost 30 years and would like to see this outfit head back over the bridge from whence they came. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS BUSINESS!

This tanning salon has the worst service. My doctor told me to stop tanning as I found out that my grandmother has skin cancer. I had just bought a package of 10 high-pressure tans. I did not ask for my money back and just wanted to convert my dollars towards spray tans but the owner would not let me. The girl at the counter told me some long story about how the new owner had been screwed over by the previous owners and that he could not convert my tan. So not only did I not get any customer service but I had to hear about things that as a customer is none of my business or interest.

But it doesn't end there. I unfortunately decided to buy the spray tans anyway because the location is so convenient and so I bought a package of 5. I went in for my first session and within two hours I was covered in tiny brown dots. My palms had freckles, everything! I then reported the problem and asked to be refunded for my purchase of 5 spray tans as I would obviously not be using the other four sprays at risk of being the polka dot lady again.

The answer was no. However, they illogically said I could convert my sprays tans to bed tans!

So, to recap, when I wanted to convert from beds to spray, the answer was no. But when i asked for my money back on a faulty spray machine, they said I could convert to beds. Of, course the irony being that I can't use beds anymore.

This location is pushy and understaffed and not all that clean. I recommend finding another salon!

Making an appt. is a waste of time -they've ignored me and other customers in the lobby for up to 25 minutes...I've had to leave to get back to my own business before I could tan! Makes me question cleanliness and other concerns. Doubt business will last in our community.

Overall, poor customer service. Wait times have increased to 20 minutes or more to get a tan, and I am generally ignored when I walk in the door, wondering what I have to do to get attention. There have been several times where the employees start complaining to customers about how long they have been waiting for their replacement to arrive. I have been prompted to write this review based on an experience I had just last night. I was waiting for a tan when the owner came to the front and started arguing with his employee, who was asked to leave. He then went back down the hall and had another altercation with another employee. Meanwhile, he had two other clients who had walked in that were not acknowledged, and got so uncomfortable with the situation that they left. I would say yelling at your employees in front of customers is bad business practice, and I refuse to give them another dime. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
