We've been going to Jim's detail shop for years, but Connor really went out of his way to ensure our black 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis came out looking spectacular. The window tint he did was the best we've had put on any of our vehicles. Connor actually saved us money by suggesting we undercoat only the wheel wells to cut down more on road noise for our already quiet ride, rather than the whole undercarriage. We went with the new car protection package for ultimate protection on our black beauty and were delighted with the final outcome. He also had great recommendations for window rain deflectors, which he put on, and mounted the chrome wheel well moldings as well for a song. The car looks fabulous! We'll be bringing our Ford F150 Lariat in for detailing in July; within 30 days of this detail, we get another 10% off that job. Thanks Connor for getting our "Granny" looking like she just rolled off the showroom floor and for the suggestions you gave to save us some money! You rock, man!

Damaged Car - Do not take your car there!

Went in for a full detail for both of my cars ($300/car). Dropped first car off. 1st bad flag was that they wanted to charge me 20% more than was quoted on the website price list, and to what the owner quoted me when I made the appointment on the phone! Went to pick up the car and drop my other on off. Noticed that the door would now not close. There was a 1/2 inch gap between the door and the top of the car. You can look right through the crack. And there was a huge new dent inside the top of the door frame. Looks like they backed it up into one of the many poles they have around the shop while the door was opened. Probably why all the poles have so many chips and dents on them as well. When I pointed this out, the owner's (Kevin) first words were "we did not do this" "are you trying to scam me?". WOW!! Full denial and would not even meet me half way to take it to a collision shop and have it checked. Basically told me to take a hike and that I was a liar.

I'm not litigious, but will most likely take a moment to have an attorney send them a reqest to just fix what they damaged. I have photos and video.

So .........Yelp'er's unite!! Boycott this place. Do not take or let your friends take their cars there.

On 11/06/09, I was involved in a car spin out in my 2001 Camry Toyota. I ended up in a ditch with about 3-4 ft of water and my car had flood damage.

When I went to pick up my car they had not only cleaned my car interior including the trunk they also washed my car,armor alled,sp? the car interior and tires. In addition, One of the technicians,Connor @ the Federal Way store, physically pushed out a small dent in the back rear panel of my car and it turned out great. My car looked better than when I bought it in 2005. I was very pleased and impressed with the work done on my car by all the technicians @ Jim's Detail in Federal Way and will highly recommend it to everyone.

We have a truck. A very dirty truck. They detailed it inside and out. When we went to pick it up we did not recognize it in the parking lot. Not cheap, but for what they did, worth it!

If you want your car to look just like new, inside and out, take it to Jim's Detail Shop. I found the staff courteous, and the detail work was just outstanding. The cost is fair for the quality of work you receive. Definintely recommend.

I feel like I've been conned. I paid $130 for the same quality of work I could have received from the kids at the local gas station. Jim's shop was supposed to hand wash my truck (GMC Sierra), clean/detail the interior and shampoo the carpets. Their sign says no appointments necessary, no so, I needed an appointment and had to leave my truck with them all day. The wash, was sub par at best. The rear bumper was muddy, the front end looked as if they had barely wiped a towel over it and the windshield still had incects on it. The cleaning of the interior was just as bad. They did not clean the edges of the glass nor did they clean the crevasses of dash or center console. They used so much shine goop that you couldn't hardly hold onto the steering wheel. Everyone at work saw my truck right after Jim's was done with it and every one of them said "...now I know not to take my car there." Then after they shampoo the carpet they let my truck sit in the July sun with the motor running, windows closed and the heat cranked full tilt. It was so hot inside you couldn't touch anything. When I asked about the heater going full blast, the guy simply replied "we're drying the carpets out". This is one detail shop that will NOT get any referrals from me.
