Unfortunately, whether you liked Excalibur or not, they have gone out of business. If you need your knives sharpened, you can try The Patron Saint of Knives (http://www.patronsaintofknives.com)

I recently bought an expensive chef's knife as a gift for my girlfriend which included some free sharpenings. I dropped off about 6 of her knives to be sharpened. When I got them back, the most precious knife in my girlfriend's collection was completely destroyed. It had a HUGE bow in the blade and was unfixable. This knife was given as a gift to her from a prestigious chef she worked for out of his own personal collection. It is also a rare knife. Needless to say, it's priceless. Upon returning to the store, we were told Knoll was the store manager responsible for sharpening. He is in his early 20's and has no business being the store manager. He told us since he sharpens all knifes the same way, there's no way he could have made a mistake. The knife must have a problem, or something. He told us there's nothing he could do. (we've been coming here for YEARS!!!) His superiors were not helpful, offering us more sharpenings to make up for the destroyed knife. HAHA! After a month of run-around, we finally got a new knife, but it will never replace the knife that was destroyed, and we will NEVER go back there again. Ironically, Brooks, another employee there gave us the best customer service we've ever recieved. I guess it just depends on the person. DONT HAVE YOUR KNIFES SHARPENED HERE.

They carry a good selection of knives for every use. I have had my current one sharpened there a few times and they always done a good job. They are reasonable in their prices.

This store has a great selection of knifes. I like to browse even when I know I'm not going to purchase anything. They do a great job of sharpening my kitchen knives.

The reviews on ExcaliburCutlery.com are FRAUD. They do NOT post bad reviews and show only once they like. I??ve purchased horrible manicure set. Cheap Chinese(?) product. I also paid $5 for a tasteless gift wrap. It??s not worth a dime. I??m very disappointed with Excalibur Cutlery. Is it even legal to misrepresent customers?? feedback and manipulate reviews?

Being a sewer, I am constantly in need of sharp scissors. I started bringing them here based on someone's recommendation. They are fast, very good (the scissors are like razors) and the price is great for the sharpening. I've paid twice as much for quite a lower quality!

We've also shopped for many family gifts here (special Swiss army knife for daughter, decorated knives for other family members). The quality is very good and the prices are also good when we compared to other shops. We did, however, have to take the knives to another location for engraving.

The service people are always friendly and answer our questions (I always ask alot of questions).
