Rip offs. Kept my sons car two weeks to fix the wipers. When I paid them plenty in full, the wipers quit two days later, no warrenty. All this on the day I was moving my son home for the summer and it was raining. They blame us because the car is old and they recommend a total new wiring harness(500$)plus their inflated labor costs to install(would have totaled ~7-900$). I had to pay another shop to fix the wipers and Joe laughed all the way to the bank. I spoke with them (Joes) on the phone several times to find them not willing to negotiate, only slow me down on moving day. They offered to check the work "that they did" which I could not find any evidence of! No new wiring which I asked them to do. I am disapointed enought o take them to court.

I've had automotive work over the last four years (and several cars) at Joe's. They have always given me good advice, had the work done in a timely manner and they are friendly. I will continue to go to Joe's and recommend it to others.

Pros: On time, honest

.

Very little attention to the problem at hand.. A great deal of focus on products and or services not asked for.
At these high prices, take your new, old, or in between auto to the dealer. At Joe's they think nothing of finding ways to crank your final bill into the thousands if possible, with absolutely no regard to the age of the vehicle or the financial ability of the customer. For your own good, go anywhere else.

Pros: don't know of any

Cons: every aspect from the diagnoses to the repair

.

I would say my car is worth about $1200, and when I went to Joe's they told me i needed new breaks, etc and it would cost me about $560. WOW! Really really high huh? Then, I called around and found another place 2 blocks away for $220! I would not recomend going here. Are they just trying to scam us college kids because they think we don't know anything about cars? AND my diagnosis was free, but I bet if I told them i had a coupon for 50% off my diagnosis they would have charged me for it... what's up with that?

Cons: Pricing

.

I took my car in with a very minor problem, and they managed to put the spark plugs back in wrong, break my gas tank door, steal my gas cap, and break off several plastic casings to the inside and outside of my car, and then charge me $200 for a misdiagnoses. I wouldn't recommend even trying to go here.

Joes has made the transition to the more profitable diagnosis business. This is interesting because nothing needs to be shown as "work" on a diagnosis. Check the prevailing charges for diagnosis as it varys considerably. You can't be sure that acceptable decisions are being made in determining how much diagnosis is reasonable on a given part.
