HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.......ARRIVED AFTER A 5 hour flight upon entering the entrance the hotel clerk, Julie had a horrible attitude. We were referred to as Texas redneck trash and then kicked from the establishment. I don't normally write

The Belltown Inn is an extremely good value, and the company has provided quite a few things for their patrons that make it a great place for someone looking for a long term residence. Monthly rates are below a thousand for the small room off season, and I beleive under $100 per day. Pretty good deal.

On the negatives is that the rooms are small (I had the least expensive), but adequate, and the maids do a good job of keeping them clean to the extent that they can. Still in my room there was just a minimum amount of space for a full size bed and space to walk around. They have a desk chair, which I did not like, but I am tall and could not make it as high as I would like, and it is hard to get around the chair if someone is using it; still managed to deal with everything with two people in the room. The sink has very little space for the necessities because it is just a sink, and there is only a small shelf above. A medicine cabinet would have been very convenient. Also the outlet was so close to the sink that could only plug in the hairdryer because of the size of the hairdryer plug. Also the sliding door to the bathroom was broken. My last complaint would be that they only had one bedside table; a bedside table on the other side would have been very nice.

It is true that the location it not the best because it is on one of the major streets for the bus, and that draws not the best of crowds. Fortunately, the city has made the park across the street into a dog park, with a heavy fence. This has keep the park in much better shape, and generally the people with dogs are a higher class then most of the people on the street and fence seems to do a really good job of keeping non-dog people out of the park.

The advantage of the location is that getting to most places in the city requires only going to the nearest bus stop, which is across the street, and taking only one bus. Also, it is only a few blocks to the center of Seattle??s shopping district. There are also quite a few good restaurants within easy walking distance.

There is no pool or exercise room, but the hotel does have many other amenities. They have 2 computers and a printer in a glass room off the lobby, and I never had any problem getting to the computers for printing. They also have umbrellas (very convenient for Seattle), and bikes (which I did not use). They do not have WIFI and charge $50 per month to have the internet in the room set up. They were nice enough to provide me internet with no charge when I complained.

There is parking in an open lot across the street and down about half a block for which they charge $10 a day, and a lesser amount for a month. At night and on Sunday parking on the street is free. I left my car in a garage at work, and just used the bus.

The television selection is great. True they do not have any premium channels like HBO, but there are well over 60, and include pretty much all the standard channels, and more. They have both the Food channel and the Cooking channel.

Highly recommended

Stayed here for a long weekend and got a great price on a certain website that books hotels. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and for the price the quality can't be beat. The room was tiny but fine for two people for a couple of nights. It would be very cramped for an extended stay. The front desk staff was friendly, cheerful, chatty, and very helpful. I needed to find an optometrist on short notice and they found me an appointment right away. Parking is right across the street. There are only two computers in the "business center", so you may have to wait to use the internet, and they only have DSL; I was disappointed that they don't have wireless. Our room was very warm even with the heat turned all the way down, so we had to crack the window in February. Noise travels easily in from the hallways and courtyard. Also, I was surprised by the little things the room lacked. For example, they advertise "studios with kitchenettes", but though there is a fridge, sink, and microwave, there are no dishes. All the other hotels with kitchenettes I've stayed in had a couple of dishes and some utensils. Another surprise: there is an iron and ironing board in the room, but no hair dryer. However, even with these little bits, it was overall a great place and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent for night life and public transport, and really easy access to the highway as well. I'd definitely stay there again.

Pros: Great location, cheap, friendly and helpful staff

Cons: Lack of small amenities, no view, can be noisy, very warm

haven??t ever written a negative review, but this place does not deserve to be in business. The staff is completely incompetent and insulting. Here is my story. I booked a reservation for New Year??s Eve with my girlfriend. I called the number on the website (on hotels. c o_m) and told them I was looking for a room that overlooked the Space Needle so we could see the fireworks. The guy said he didn??t have any rooms overlooking the space needle but he would give us a room where we could see the fireworks. I made it clear we were only interested in reserving a hotel room if we could view the fireworks from the room. As we will later see, this was not the case. We got to the hotel and found street parking. When we arrived at the counter the staff seemed very nice. I asked them if there was hotel parking, because I didn??t want to have to move my car before the next day. They told me street parking was free on New Year??s and they also had free hotel parking in another lot. Later I asked for one of these passes before I left to eat at a restaurant. The staff seemed good intentioned, but completely incompetent. My girlfriend is Japanese and one of the staff members told us there were a number of good restaurants in the area and then told my girlfriend there is bubble tea if she wants some. Neither of us said anything, because we both were surprised by the comment. He then continued to ask her if she likes bubble tea. It seemed like a weird and completely unprofessional thing to say, but I just thought ??whatever.? Next, we went up to the room. I looked out the window and it was a view of the other side of the building. There was absolutely no view whatsoever of fireworks or any park of the city for that matter. It was a completely blocked off view. I went back to the desk and told them we specifically asked for a room with a view of the fireworks. The lady said that there weren??t any rooms with a view of the fireworks. I asked her why the hotel staff member on the phone said there was. She said I booked the reservation through hotels. c o_m and they were the ones at fault, not the hotel. She said they have had problems with hotels. c o_m in the past. She said there was nothing she could do and that I could try to cancel my reservation through hotel. c o_m if I wanted to. CONTINUED...

I stayed at the Belletown Inn on New Years and was very impressed! I was one of those last minute girls trying to figure out what to do and where to stay on New Years. I called on the evening of the 30th and booked a room for $107!!! I shopped around and the closest price to this was well over $200. I read some sketchy reviews but decided to go for it anyways.
The hotel is located in Belltown with really nice places in walking distance. I bar/clubed hopped a block-3 blocks away!
The hotel is nice and clean.
My boyfriend and I decided to ditch the bars and spend midnight on the roof where we had a PERFECT view of the space needle and fire works. The Belltown Inn made my New Years special and I recommend staying here!

Best kept secret - this place is very new. Clean and attractive lobby, and our rooms were really nice too. The bed was comfortable and firm, and we had a good view of the park across the street. You can tell this place is brand new - everything is sooooo clean. : ) We stayed for about a week and liked the location and service the most. We were able to hop a cab to the convention center and on nice days, we walked. The staff at this place are really wonderful. They recommended some great restaurants and bars in the area, all of them in walking distance. All in all it was a very nice business trip, and my company saved a lot of money on the accomodations here.

We saved a TON of money with this hotel located in downtown Seattle on the edge of Belltown!!! We were able to walk EVERYWHERE - pretty much everything is within a few blocks including Nordstroms, Macys, theatres, and great shopping. Their front desk team (awesome) recommended all kinds of ecletic, fabulous cafes, restaurants and shops to visit, and we even walked down to the bay and did the touristy thing. The studios are cozy and very clean (looks like brand new), but I must say they are a tad bit smaller than, say, the Hilton or Sheraton rooms we usually stay in. Sure wish we would have known about this place last year during "festival" season - they are also in close walking distance to the Seattle Center. If you are looking to save some money in your hotel accommodations and spend it playing, this is the place - we highly recommend it!!

Pros: Awesome Service and Downtown Location

Cons: Spendy Parking (although no need for a car!!)

The folks who work at the Belltown Inn were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room itself was quite small and if staying a while (I stayed just a week), would get very cramped. I overheard a few tenants complain about the heat of the rooms (I stayed there in the summer and there was very little air because of lack of cross ventilation). The room was clean and nicely decorated.

The biggest drawback about staying at the Belltown Inn was the location. Although the Belltown area is improving, the location of the inn leaves a lot to be desired. It's located right across the street from a park (Regrade Park) which is home to a high number of homeless, mentally unstable folk and illicit substance users and dealers. I always felt that I had to be in my room before dark and my friends and family were hesitant about coming to pick me up, parking their cars in the area and meeting me in the direct vicinity.
