This is a fun store to go to for a different toy for your child... something that actually teaches them instead of just entertaining them. The prices are a bit high but I am willing to pay it for the quality and piece of mind. If you are looking for a unique gift for a child this is the place to go.
PROS: Fun place to go

If you are looking for unique learning toys and books you will love this store. They have wonderful toys you won't be able to find in a regular toy store. They are different from the regular toys and provide some educational value. They are very well made tool
My daughter loves their puzzles. They do ask for some of your personal information but you don't have to give it out if you don't feel comfortable doing it.

Teaching Toys has something for every kid. If you aren't sure what to get a child come here. They have things you did not know existed. The child will have fun not knowing it is educational. The toys are sturdy and well made, especially the puzzles. The store is located in a nice shopping area.

They have a great selection of toys that are sturdy (YAY!) have purpose, and are most often timeless! These are all characteristics that are lacking from modern, big box toy stores! You can find something for even the pickiest kid (or adult ;) ) here!
May be a touch pricey for some...

Slow service but good selection

I had an easy time finding what I was looking for in here, but I knew exactly what I wanted. If you just want to browse through your typical toy store, don't go here. However, if you're looking for good educational products that you won't be able to find anywhere else, this is your best bet. Also a good resource for educators.
The service was slow - even though I was behind one person in line they just took forever completing the whole process. They also try to ask for your whole life story - address, phone, etc. - probably for some sort of mailing list. I politely declined to hurry up and get back to my day.
PROS: good selection for educators
CONS: slow checkout.
