Waited in line for 20 minutes and when it got to my turn, they served 2 other people who came in after me. When I complained, they did nothing to alleviate the situation and just said sorry. Another woman was complaining when I got there about not getting served right away, so should have followed my instinct to leave. If you want decent service at a minimum, this is not the place to go. They do have decent food though. But there are a ton of other restaurants in the ID with decent food and way better service.

Pros: edible food

Cons: terrible service

I went here after not wanting to wait at Jade Garden (which is very good). They have a sign hanging out front that says "$8.95 all you can eat dim sum", or something to that effect. So it sounded good, but it wasn't. The food was all cold, and I swear to god some of it must have been made the day before where it then sat around and was put back on the cart for Sunday. The bau was very gross, and they only had the baked version. Even all the fried shrimp balls were cold =( and the carts were all dirty and covered with old food pieces. The tea was good but that's about it asides from the daikon/taro cakes because they had the little hot plate on the cart to fry them.
There were a lot of white people eating in here, which is a bad sign for dim sum (I am white so don't take offense).

Pros: cheap, all you can eat dim sum

Cons: you don't want to eat that much

We knew and ate at the restaurant for years once for a while. At the first two years, the service were good, the food was OK, the price was good. But now the service is bad, the food is not fresh, the price is high.

In April we went Ocean City Restaurant. The manager led us to set the table with opened(may be broken) window. It's too cold. So we changed the table and let him know. But he was not happy with it. We ordered the food. One of the dishes was cold. The manager agreed to warm up. Another dish taste was bad. The manger denied to change it or credit the charge for the bad dish. The manager is terrible persinality. When you come to their door, he smiles to lead you to the table. But if you have any complains, his face changes and no negotiate.

If anyone like Dim Sun, I refer you go to Kings Chinese Restaurant at 13200 NE 20th ST, Bellevue, WA 98005. The phone number is 425-378-8009. At Kings Restaurant, the food is good, either the price. Also you will get better service.

Compare, you will know which one is good, which one is bad.

Pros: The worst service

Cons: Food taste bad

We really love to have our wedding banquet at this restaurant, it's a nice place. One night I asked my girlfriend and my family to go there and tried some dishes, but the foods are so bad after we tried them out. We did not want to pay the bill in full amount but they have a good service. So we decided not to have our wedding banquet at this restaurant unless the foods are very delicious.

=( Our dim sum was cold. My bao tasted like wonder bread and was cold and hard. I really can't say that anything I ate here was good or that I would ever go back. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Jade Garden and Joy Palace, but this place really pales in comparison Its a good deal I suppose if you want to eat a lot of food and aren't that picky.

Actually if there were no where else to get dim sum and I really wanted some...I guess I'd go back.

Pros: Interesting carpet

Summary: Food was good, but the customer experience was lacking. We went for the $8.95 "all you can eat" dim sum buffet. We were surprised by a fairly aggressive insistence that we pay first (I'm fine with paying first, but the request was very brusque), and that we had to be given a ticket to hand to the waitress who seated us (3 feet from where we'd just paid). The food was tasty, with nothing obvious to complain about, but above the buffet line was a sign informing us (roughly), "Do not waste food. $5.00 per plate charge." The table service (tea, water) was prompt and courteous. Our overall impression was that of decent food and hostile customer relations. Given the apparently stingy mindset of the management, I'm forced to wonder what corners get cut in the kitchen? For my money, Duk Li (across the street) is better value, better customer experience.

Pros: Food

Cons: Attitude

I went here recently with some coworkers. The service was horrible the food was worse. The "Vegie" meals had bits of meat mixed in with them. The only good thing was the walnut shrimp. I will never go there again. I still have a MSG headache.

Pros: Walking distance from work

This restaurant is just like Sam-Woo in California, only it is located in Seattle, Washington. It is a Cantonese-style restaurant. I love their BBQ pork.

On a recent trip to Seattle, decided to come here again as I remember the food was pretty good. I was not disappointed. The food was really good, the servers were friendly and a big improvement on the decor with a recent(?) remodel. I would definately come back again on my next trip.

I have been to plenty of dim sum style restaurants throughout this state and this is the worst. The food and service were terrible. The selection of food was minimal and they ran out of some dishes. As for the service, the carts took TOO LONG to make it to our table and the other guests.

Went in there on a recommendation and we were the only three people there during dim sum time. It felt like twlight zone because I'm chinese and my friends were non-chinese the staff began talking to each other about us in chinese like we were some type of exhibition that they are forced to serve. When we ordered some dim sum it was the worse dim sum I've ever tasted we order 3 dishes for 5 people and then left. A rule of thumb for chinese people: if you tried the shrimp dumpling and shu mai the basic food of all dim sum if it tastes good it means it's a good place, bad it means you should hightail it outta there. A Lesson Learned: don't go to a dim sum place if there is no one there.

Pros: In Chinatown

Cons: Bad food, discriminate against non-chinese speaking people

A friend of mine was up from San Francisco where the Dim Sum choices are huge and wonderful. I looked up Ocean City, fully expecting no place to compare to the San Fran Dim Sum I'd had with her. So I took her there on a Sunday. We were both very impressed with the food, it was incredible. AS good if not better than what we'd both had before. The choices are vast and the service is prompt. The prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately the last time she was up they were closed for remodeling, but I will definintely be going back as often as possible!

Pros: Wonderful food

Cons: Restaurant was kind of old and musty

We went to the restaurant expecting to have some good dim sum. Something must have happened. The restaurant was empty during the normal dim sum rush. Only three other people were there at the restaurant. It felt like we were in an episode of the "Twilight Zone." Try other restaurants in the nearby area.

Pros: No lines... since no one else seems to care for the place

Cons: All the reasons no one else seems to care for the place

Sunday brunch at Ocean City with friends or family from out of town is a great Seattle tradtion for me! Visitig family members from the midwest protest at first that it is Asian food torture - but it is the first thing on the do over list on return trips! Seems like we are in the minority being of Euro heritage. The place is packed with Asian family groups which is a little sign to me that we are in the right place. No language barrier because you just point to what looks good to you. I love seeing how many little doll house plates and tiny steamers we can collect at our table. I am always amazed that the total price for a fun and tasty meal for a large group would fit easily on one of those tiny plates. Dim Sum at Ocean City rocks.

Cons: stairsn, no english, no coffee

My parents 1st brought me to Ocean City when I was just 6 months old, we have been going back ever since. The service is wonderful and youre seated right away. Id advice going during lunch time as it is the most fun, (dim sum is only served then.) The food is an adventure and simply wonderful to eat. The food ranges from Chinese noodles, to fungore, and humbow (barbecue pork enclosed in either baked or steamed bread.) the atmosphere is lively and the OC is great for kids.

A friend first took me to my first Dim Sum lunch at ocean city, I've enjoyed it ever since. The ladies pushing the carts usually end up laughing with me cause no matter how hard they try I can't understand a word there saying. The best way to do this is with some friends and eat until your hearts content. I envoy those of you who work close enough to do this on a regular basis.

My husband and I went here on a weekday, for the first time, and was very suprised! We had a friend with us who showed us what to order and that helped. The food was carted around on hot carts and we loved the dumplings, egg rolls, and shrimp balls were EXCELLENT! The price was great - especially for three hungry people. We definitely will return soon. This is also a great place to find free parking - right in the back!!
